It's not the cherry on top. It's the deadliest of its skillset. The other abilities and functions it has aren't as impressive. This coming from a massive Gin fan.

I think this is one of the most powerful zanpakutos. As simple as it is troublesome. If it points at you, you're dead. It doesn't rely on kido, super magic tricks or weird abilities. The poison covers the melee-resisting enemies. Perfect all together.

Gin stated that it wasn't truly a poison but more like a power that directly erases your cells. So yea, good luck with that unless you have some power over reality itself like Aizen had.
for me Gin is one of the strongest captains. For some reason he dont even needed/wanted hollowification. He rekted Toshiro and I bet he could be serious threat for all other captains than Yamamoto, Kyouraku, Ukitake or Unohana

*Spoiler It’s crazy to think that when Gin says “so he’s the one” at 0:37 he could very well be referring to how he’s basically Aizen’s experiment, love how it completely changes your perspective from the first time watching it, Gin was very well written imo (just wish we saw more of him)
What everybody ignoring here is how scared Yoruichi was when she Gin she knew if any of them did anything that would make him release his bankai then they are all dead. Even though he wouldn't do that, she still didn't know that Gin was working for Ainz. The fear in her eyes was true, and it was a signal that said repeatedly run 🏃♂️
All the years of watching Bleach Ichimaru Gin was actually a good guy his death tears me up, all the things he did was to avenge Matsumoto Rangiku by killing Aizen but to bad he wasn't the MC.
Ichigo is badass throughout the Bleach. His Shikai,Bankai, Hichigo, Hollowfication, Vasto Lords Ichigo, Dangai Ichigo, Final Getsuga Tenshou, Fullbringer Ichigo, post-time skip Shikai and Bankai, Ichigo's new Shikai(dual blades) and Grand Ray Cero Getsuga Tenshou. Which of them is not badass? I will say Horns of starvation form was little disappointment and even his new Bankai which was easily Broken.

I don't think Buto and Butorenjin are Zanpaktou names. I think they're ability names. His Shikai is Kamishinzo and his Bankai is Kamishininoyari. God-Touching Spear and God-Slaying Spear respectively. And the Release is "Kill 'em"
Buto never made much sense to me. Whats the point of the sword extending and not reaching the opponent over and over again? Is it just to mix it up, make it harder to track? Considering how fast his bankai is, it seems it would be better to simply attack tge opponent, retract, and attack again in rapid succession rather than put all that energy into the show that Buto is.
Its part of the trap, the idea is to sell up the range and attacking power and distract from the speed. Misdirection was the point which is why once Ichigo calls him out he changes how he fights. This is of course also misdirection, probably to put Azien off guard, and the real ability of his blade is nested in the ability to retract so fast.
