Yeah, gin's plot is def a retcon. We can see that because is motivation for being a traitor comes from retconned lore: i.a.: aizen having his own failed hogyouku when he his reaction to obtaining urahara's at the end of the soul society arc is that of a person who had never seen it before: "something so small.. this powerful"
Alot of people debate whether or not Gin was good/bad. Gin was my favorite character throughout the entire series. This was because he was so incredibly hard to read. Unlike the majority of the other characters, you never really knew what was going through Gin's head, even after he left the S.S. I personally think Gin was neither good nor bad, I don't think he cared at all about the S.S. or Aizen. I think his only concern was Rangiku and revenge. His actions seem to prove this.
i think he did this on purpose, just to check on her, if she was determined to live. but yeah he's neither bad nor good, he's a free person. but in most of his conversations he destroys someone's trust or faith to get him hated by people in soul society. i think he just pictures himself badly to others to get aizen's trust.
@@GhostMan407 that's the truth tho? If he was caring he would have done something or at least supporting Soul Society in one way or another which he didn't. He kept lying about how he f.d up hado 90, failed to cut Ichigo in half, killed Hinamori etc. but he never intended any of it to begin with.
