Wood working tip from a carpenter, if you put a sacrificial board pressed up behind what your trying to drill through (ex lay the 2x6's your drilling through on top of a sheet of crap ply or 1x) the hole on the back side would be perfect with no blowout.
Yours is the one I essentially did, 7/10/2022, albeit a wee bit sloppier. but it's solid and it works. Maybe $35 in material, with inflation and all that, but that's a LOT cheaper than paying for a broken leg because loose plates are scattered all about my basement gym floor. Next, two 45 lb concrete plates using the Lowe's rope handle bucket as a mold...

Great work! Can't wait to build my plates and this weight plate tree.
Awesome video, as always!
Great video dude!
I’m inspired thank you I can’t wait to try
Awesome job! I'm about to do the same project. Any tips or things you wish you would have done differently?

Nice work 👍
great videos!!!
How much water are you supposed to put in the concrete. Would it effect the weight
It doesn't really effect it much as it just evaporates
No wood glue???
Exactly my thought. Nice design but wood glue would have made it 2x as strong with no wiggle.
