100% like me i use always small gloves 8oz fight gloves on pads and heavy bag sparring i use 16oz sometime i use 2oz bag gloves mitts for the heavy bag
Thing is inmature freaking people in my country love to spar with smaller gloves but unlike Joe they don´t control their punches and do hurt their partners so they leave the class saying they hit too hard so I totally agree with 16 ounces for big guys and new students, specially if they are big newbie guys.
hey i gained weight from 76kg ish to 98kg, when i looked down i was surprised at that change without noticing! so i bought a whole standing fairtex bag and 10 oz gloves and this was my first day, it was absurdly tough, it reminded me of those things i did in the military that impacted me the most, just was wondering if HB14 MAX FREE STANDING HEAVY BAG (from fairtex) is more dense than other bags or that my hands/ wrists are just underdeveloped with no prior boxing/ kickboxing experience. or that i should get hand wraps/ wrist wraps. want to lose weight and feel lighter again. godbless/ godspeed
Joe your training videos r awasome. I'm a teakwondo guy. can u please make a video on kickboxing combination..? that will be helpful really. Thank you.
is there really a big deal with 14 to 16 ounz?? i use 14 ounz to everything including sparring. but i hold back alot to the head. Sometimes i use 10 ounz for speed work
Coach Valtellini your pad holder at the 1:57 mark is master level the way he flips the pad for you to throw a different kick. Most impressive.
