2006 Chevy Malibu fuel pump wasn't the problem.

If you have any component failure, inspect any wires going to that component. Ex: a wire that could have been getting scraped on a corner or a wire that could have been getting hit by a fan inspect any wire that could have been damaged due to location that's possibly be your problem. Check connector for corrosion. Lady paid for fuel pump towing labor and it still didn't work. I found the wires going to it the fuel pump they were on a Bend inside of a wire tunnel I don't know what you call it plastic black wire tunnel flexible either way I had to open it up cut it open and saw that at least one wire had been corroded all the way through.

Is it a big job removing the gas tank I have a 2006 also 2.2 engine the gas gauge don’t work
