Great tutorial on fuel pump replacement! I had the same problem. Be sure to check the fuel pump relay first! Mine would click so I assumed it was good but being curious I pulled it and found a lot of resistance across the contacts. To verify I jumpered the sockets on the fuse panel (be careful so you use the right ones or you could blow fuses!!) and heard the pump run. Replaced the relay & saved a bunch of work & money (and bought spares to keep in the glove box just in case! BTW the trunk release was giving problems. I'd have to push the button several times to finally get it open. Replacing it's relay solved that too! Thanks for your help and hope these tips help someone too!
Remove the fuel pump lock ring and remove pump. I’ve seen some use hammer and screwdriver to push lock ring around but there are specific tools to remove ring as well. I hope this helps. I appreciate the feedback 👍
1:44 did you have a hose connected to that pipe in the top left corner. Mine didn’t have anything connected to it but on other videos people have a hose that goes to that.
I don't believe any hose goes on there..... i just pulled my tank and there was nothing on mine or any witness marks to indicate any tube was ever attached to it
There is a sock style fuel filter attached to the new fuel pump. Should be able to replace entire unit. This vehicle did not have an in line fuel filter. I hope this helps. I appreciate the feedback 👍

Do you know if the fuel filter is also inside the tank?
