- Replacing the fuel pump in the 2005 Malibu Maxx how to install fuel pump Chevy car with starting issue. Fuel gauge not working. This is becoming a kind of rare car. They are pretty reliable and easy to work on. I know the quality is not the best, I have a new camera, I have a few more videos to edit that were on this old camera. Will it start?

I'll have to rewatch it, but if I remember correctly, it's just pushing the tabs on the locking ring then pulling the pump assembly out.

It's the old camera. Has been replaced.
I'm changing my fuel pump on my Malibu Maxx tomorrow so I'll fill in what I can't hear. My hearing is shot from 42 years of doing auto body repair.
Yeah that will mess hearing up for sure. I wish I could go back and redo the sound.
I'm working on the LT and not the Maxx but everything is very similar. My question is how in the world did you get the filler neck off? Did you do it before removal or as you were removing?
There is a space you can stick a screw driver through to lose the clamp. Its not much space and you'll for sure need a flashlight.
Nice video but im haveing were it stuttering like not getting enough gas randomly while driveing and also the start and stutter then die while starting. So would changeing the fuel pump fix that? And also what is emmission part called?
Only codes i got were maf sensor replaced that o2 sensor bank 2 sensor 2. Replaced that and still doing it
I'd check the coil packs and spark plugs, then start looking at the fuel system. I don't remember what the emissions part was called.
Ok but in video you said it would start stutter then die and end of video and that the emmisions thing would fix that? That also issue im haveing. But if its was coils or plugs wouldnt it be throwing a code? And also doing it all the time? This will do it for 60 seconds like not getting enough gas then will be fine for day or 2 then randomly do it again. Ive had bad coils n plugs in my camaro and it was bad. Not on and off. Not argueing just genuiely asking. Just my opinionif i remember coils or plugs throws a code and only codes like i said is 02 sensor codes and generic emmisons codes.
Juat to add ive had missfires, coils fall off plugs in camaro ik what that feels and sounds like in car. The issue im haveing is on gas and its droppin rpms n lugging like not getting gas.
Could it have been o2 sensor recently replaced it and so far hasnt done it have to put more miles on it to aee but driven it 30 mins
