I saw him at DFW airport….sitting there reading a newspaper… I wasn’t going to ask him for an autograph but as I was walking by him I had an inspiration and said “Sorry about the dog John”… he looked up and responded in character “Thanks”… and then he cracked up and we both had a quick laugh and I continued on my way….GREAT guy!… 🎉

The dude is just a human being, making his way through life, as are we all, but he does have that elemental spark of sincerity, doesn’t he? It’s a quiet genuineness that is magnetic… invoking an aspiration to just be ourselves and to be kind. And whatsmore, if he heard that compliment, he’d probably just brush it off, thinking, “hey, I have bad days too.”

It's a little bit of a shame action stars aren't really considered among the great actors...he did that movie with Winona Ryder (i didn't see it) and one with Anthony Quinn (and of course the comedies) but I think he deserves that drama role that will cement him in the top 100 American actors of all time
