And then i launch a game and the whole team is just moving straight from point A to B getting massacred, no flanking or tactics ever
unlucky, just a bad team. Whenever I get into a game with that team I just leave and usually find a better server. If you're new, just a little tip: servers with 15-30 players in it are the best, because if it gets anymore populated the tactics get lost and it becomes a run and gun game. While with a less populated server there is a lot more strategy and you're not being shot at all the time.
Still beats the elitist team, with literally every squad locked and one-man tank crews.
We had this epic fight to defend a chapel I killed a bunch of people but my teammates were yelling build garrisons to the east and I had no idea what was happening

I'd recommend to bring a mic to new players. This was my first time using a mic in a game and it's honestly the only way to play this game. When you're in a squad that is commuicating and coordinating together it's pretty much the best fun i've had in a shooter.
The game is extremely focused on cooperation. I'd agree, a microphone is not necessary, it's required.
@@monoespacial yeah I'm trying to find other similar shooters now and Squad and Post Scritpum are pretty much that too. Some squads in Squad will kick you if you're not using a mic. I totally get it.

Just saying my 3rd match I played as commander and I feel I done a good job but I've been commander in games like Battlefield and Arma. I'd like to see more people playing this game its honestly one of the best games I have played in a while.
Yeah, this is a fantastic game that needs more attention. I think a lot of people might be put off thinking it's some sort of extreme mil-sim style game, but it's actually super accessible.

Oliver Genz it’s not like COD. This game you have to think that there’s enemies at every turn. Slow down and look at all times.

@@jeremyrodriguez5923 Ye it can take a while to get the grasp of the game but once u do is rly fun, for me i took like 30 lvls to understand what i was doing til then i was playing it like cod or bf conquest, dont rush positions if u dont smoke and everyone is on the game page is the biggest tip i can give u and everyone reading this.
I’ve played a lot of battlefield and counter strike over the years but this game has by far the best teamwork when ur squad is communicating. Very satisfying game to play

Well as someone who was in the infantry, I can tell you smoke can be either. It can be employed as cover for moving across open ground or what’s called blinding. Blinding being the kind where it is fired in enemy positions
My first game I had no microphone and really ticked off the squad leaders and commander. I was doing good and stacking up kills. Nobody had even touched the tank for over half an hour. So I hopped in it and one man rambo it around. Commander flipped out. I told him to STFU because no one had touched it the past half hour and no one even considered getting in it. Protected the rear left flank. Stacked up kills and it really helped the team. He and the squad leaders wouldn't shut up about it. I told them to have mommy make them a hot pocket and quit crying. Boy did that set them off.
Do not let anyone spoil the learning and fun of the game. Its a video game.
And I thought Rising Storm 2: Vietnam was the "Where was I shot from?" Simulator lol.
Very informative video! I played my first full match last night and had a good time, but I was really confused about all the resource nodes and objectives and such.
One thing I feel like you forgot to mention in this video is how to take objectives, but I feel like the game itself does a pretty good job explaining it. Otherwise, great vid!
The ability to alter the display for name tag is a game changer for me. I was watching posts where the terrine was covered in bright blue markers. I was wondering why, after making such a good-looking game, they cluttered it in this way. You have opened my eyes. I am a big FH2 fan and this is right in my line.

I got lucky, I played a couple rounds and had no idea what was going on, the 3rd game started and I got in with a fantastic squad. They were communicating, I learned a little bit about various classes, flanking techniques and the art of patience. It was really enjoyable.
That's really cool. A lot of the enjoyment hinges on finding a good squad where people enjoy working together and following orders. You should pay discord.gg/TeamDixx a visit if you want to find more people to play with. We play matches you can sign up for every Wednesday which are amazing since the whole server is doing exactly that.

You maybe just forgot to tell that , in this game there are no tickets, so sometimes it's best to just redeploy (suicide) to respawn faster at a good position and not to walk for like 10 mins ;)
1st play as a rifleman as the game advised, got killed 5 times without even seeing where the enemy was. Think I'll take your advice and play as a medic and just revive fallen teammates lol
Playing medic when you first get the game definitely helps you learn HLL. The fighting can be overwhelming for many new players, and it can be frustrating to be shot over and over again without having seen the enemy. I think everyone can relate to that in this game. Medic is a critical role for the squad AND your entire team imo, and it's worth playing long after you have this game figured out.

I LOVE THE TEAM PLAYING AND REALISM YOU HAVE TO BE SMART REALISTIC AND WORK WITH YOUR TEAM TO WIN.
Also try to flank if your current strategy isn't working. Also, as a medic be sure to pop smoke when reviving during firefight - chances are the enemy is still aimed in that direction.

Best advice for artillery:
Do it as a team. Try to have another person on there reloading so you can get good rounds in target as quick as possible.
Ask SLs and commander to put a ping that stays, not just the quick, 5 second ping. It doesn't work like that lol.
Lastly, download an artillery calculator. You'll find the distance and correct angle quickly which means more rounds and more accurate rounds of target.

Just bought this game yesterday after rewatching Band of Brothers again. It has scratched a multiplayer itch which I've been missing since BF1. Really enjoying it so far, even if I can only run it at 40fps lowest preset.

So I just got this game and lonewolfed as a german rifleman got 10 kills mostly behind enemy lines before i died by getting hunted down by a whole squad in my first life. was pretty fun.

i love this game and have no clue how anything works yet lol. I've been paying usually riflemen and do pretty well at killing the enemy but there's SO MUCH more to it. I'd like to learn what and where to build stuff using engineer more.
You can also repair a tank with the wrench that AT gets!

Good video. The only constructive criticism I can think of is that you didn't go into the controls used for how to lay down ammo boxes, mines, etc., and what controls to use to adjust the artillery, but if I remember correctly, things like that are pretty much self explanatory and easy to quickly figure out in game, but correct me if I'm wrong.

This is great, thanks. Once you're in a tank in 1st, rev up half way and hold shift and w until it gets to 4th, release shift and it does a gear jump / speed boost. Might be a bug though it works!

Players taking roles they dont know of. Like medic, im dying beside them and they just walk straight like 2 times and died instantly.
Players driving tank alone which needed 2-3 people.

P.s I played Post Scriptum recently on free weekend and it lagged so didnt buy although was tempted. Might give this a whirl but need a mic.
I use a HyperX headset and the microphone is decent enough for multiplayer games. I use a separate mic (Rode NT) for videos though.

it was laggy 'cause the had trouble with a new map, but it's pretty much stable now

When I started playing, which was only a few days ago, I really enjoyed the game but felt completely lost. Just tried following other players around or gunshots so I could try and help with gunfire. Now I am starting to understand what the objectives are but still feeling lost.
Check out my other videos, the guide on how not to die and the guide on garrisons and tactics. I recommend joining the TeamDIXX discord server at discord.gg/teamdixx. It's a pretty awesome community that has a lot of teamwork in it's servers.
Good vid one thing I wouldn't recommend is going medic first for new players. People who take up the medic slot should have at least SOME game sense. New players arent going to know the maps or are just gonna blindly go for revives indicators and cause squad wipes. (I see this happen way too often) Medic mechanics are easy but that doesnt mean its a novice class to pick.
That's a fair point. I think if you have some game sense in general from playing other games (especially of you come from playing medic in BFV for example) you already know that running towards a corpse through an open field where 5 guys just got slaughtered isn't a good idea.
Most squads I join usually lack a medic which is also one of the reasons I said that. Between no medic or rookie medic, I'd take a rookie.
@@monoespacial Situation is different if there is no one in the medic slot *of course* by all means take it but you know that isn't what I was referring too. (True about past games but also if you played BFV you know suicide medic dives are also a huge problem + medics that don't leap in at the right moments. This game is slower paced so it punishes teams far greater for bad medic play.
@@SRNF Yeah, that is true. I think in general there is a lack of understanding of tactical priorities and team awareness, but it goes both ways too. If I know I can't get revived safely, I shouldn't linger and give up to respawn, and Medics should try to revive when it's obviously too dangerous.

Lol. I'm very new to the game and I had to jump into the Squad Lead roll because it was forced upon me. Basically no one I've played with want the job. I understand why they don't.
You don't just get 2 mags as medic, if you're German. You get very little ammo, true. But it's like.. 5 stripper clips worth of bolt action ammo, if I remember correctly. Less than American medic, and not useful in close quarters, but 25 is at least more than 10

I haven't played but from this video this sounds the closest to project reality that I've heard of. Which is what I'm looking for.

I prefer HLL though.
Squad was developed by the people who did Project Reality. However, Squad is much slower paced, and there's many matches you'll play for 45 minutes and see 3 enemies the entire time

You put battlefield theme in the background.......shit has me crackin up right now lol. But I'm totally the rookie in the squad, not only was 2 days ago my first time playing HLL it was my first time gamin on PC period. First map happened to be Omaha beach thankfully I got in a squad of really cool players they helped me out quite a bit and sure they enjoyed me drawing most of the fire 80% ofvthe time lol

Hey man you should check out kovaaks. It will help your aim really quickly. Look up aimer7s routine too. Ik your prob not going to try and be mlg pro levels good but kovaaks really helps ur aim get to a place where u can have fun fast :) it took me 2 months with kovaaks to get good enough aim to enjoy the games ( i was playing without kovaaks for 3months before hand) it’s a game changer man
@@javierrivera2556 I've fell in love with mouse aim definitely not top gamer quality but have notice a big difference in being able to switch targets quickly and getting some cool snap shots. I'ma check out what you said, always down for tips n tricks.

I know this game is about realism, and i get thats what sets it apart but this game gets me heated when i run for 20 minutes in real time through a forest just to instantly get shot in the leg and die from an enemy i never see
The problem isn't the game, it's the players not using the tools at their disposal. If squad leaders put down garrisons and OPs, then you run way, way less.
Stop running through forests and play smart.
Bought this game yesterday after playing red orchestra 2 for many years. It’s really difficult to enjoy a game like hell let loose after playing fast paced action packed game like RO2, which in my opinion is the best WW2 game I ever played. This game is freaking slow and boring, but I get that’s because it focuses on realism and not non stop action. Will do my best to see if I can get into it over the next couple of days.
The game is heavily dependant on playing with a good squad. It forces you to make advances meaningful by defending whatever terrain you got. Suppression is a thing. If you put machine gun fire on an enemy position, they will not be able to fire back, period. This makes stuff like covering fire have an actual effect.
