- This keyboard from Rakk is an 8/10 Filipino enthusiast's, first love. In its early days, it was a highly recommended one as a starter keyboard. Luckily my friend got a spare so he gave it to me for the Outemu socket compatibility tester board. I really enjoyed modding this keyboard and am very satisfied with its outcome.

Cool looking keeb!! Just wondering. since you put anti-collision foam strips between the plate and the PCB, thus creating space between them, did the switch pins have issues connecting to the PCB since there's now additional space between the plate and the PCB?

wow bro, i love the craftiness lalo na ung boba straw fix hahaha. big brainnnn. also, just got the akko WoB ASA keycaps and man. the ASA profile is so much awesome. i like the height and the shape of it. not like the SA which is too tall. Thanks for the video man :). careful on the poly fill tho hahahaha. till next video man :)
Thanks for watching man. Yeah the ASA keycaps are good buys comes with a kawaii puller and a hard case. Shhhhh she didn’t notice about the polyfill.
so i have the same board but i have a problem with it rn, the keyboard wont work the windows lock key is the only thing lighting up but even then it doesnt work like everything on the board, i just opened it up but when i put it back together that happened any ideas?
Can i ask what other switches can i fit in this board? Planning on buying then fitting them with the pink akko switches

does the akko cable fit the lamang pro directly or do you use something to fit it inside?The lamang has a deep cable entrance and only slim cables fit

Hi, with this mod, are you still able to fully tighten the frame to the bottom case? Correct me if I'm wrong but in this video it looks like it's not properly attached (as if the frame is just laying rest at the top of the plate)? And I'm also curious if there are still some screws holding the plate+pcb in to the bottom case. I also got Akko midnight and Akko jelly blue, but mine doesnt sound as good as this.
Edit: Actually nevermind. I didn't notice you mentioned it in the video, I was checking the comments while listening to the typing test. My bad!. But Another curiosity will the plate and pcb fall off if you flip the keyboard upside down? lol. Really like the sound of this but I still want to maintain the keyboard's frame to fully latch in to the bottom case.
yes it doesn't since the screw holes on it are already broken when I got it
Bro, on the part where you used BOUY Studios SMM2 Keyboard Silicone Screw Mount, did you have to cut the bottom part of the silicone mount in half as instructed on their shopee page?
Newp. I needed the full lenght because I cut the screw standoffs to still align the usbc

Does the Akko cable fit in the Lam-Ang Light usb slot or did you have to shave off the hole on the frame a bit to connect to the usb port?

Hello Sir! Tanong ko lang. May same keyboard din ako. Pero tape mod pa lang nagagawa ko d ko na agad maisara yung top cover ng board. Pero sa vid nag add ka pa ng switch pad at ng anti collision foam sa board. Pano mo naikabit ulet yung top cover?
differencd between using switch pads and just normal pe foam ?
Peace of mind, packaging pe foam is way too messy for me. The PE pads have the same design with the jelly pad.

Akko switches fit the sockets same as ktt switches.

I'm not even yet done modding my Lam-Ang Pro and yet here we are replanning the things to do since this is so interesting. Though, a little scared to do the cutting part with case, ngl.
I have mine with the Gateron Yellow Pro Milky (thanks to your vid as well, literally sold when it went live!)
Some pointers I'd like to ask
- Will the Poron Switch Pads produce different sounds compared with Foam?
- I might still go with an EVA Foam since I am also scared of static that can possibly build up. I bought a 1mm since the 3mm is not helping considering I had 4 layers of the Tape Mod then reduced it with 2 layers. I think that would be still enough to mute the sort of clacky-ness it builds yet still produce a poppier sound?
- Is it recommendable to have the rubber gaskets in all where the PCB will be screwed into the case?
I'm also thinking about whether it would be helpful to have Cloth Tape into the case and a 1mm EVA foam.
Wargh, I really love this video because it can go to whatever extent does the user wants to do with this board.
-Poron Swithc pads have deeper sound signature and advisable for thocc builds than clacky/poppy builds
-It's been some time since I've used EVA as damping material but I think it would work. I use felt or cloth tape lining to absorb vibrations from the surface of the case.
-I placed 4 gaskets near the corners for a less stiffer build.
Might wanna try the polyfill too it's cheap and you can control the amount you'd place inside the case.

Do you have any link for those burger gaskets on shopee? I dont know if its a coincidence that I have lamang lite, akko lavenders, jwk everglides from squishy types (minor problem is cannot clip the stabs properly due to the thickness of plate). I think its my destiny to gasket mount this. Last question, does the gasket avoids the top cover to be closed properly? I think one problem is the volume wheel will not sit properly like in my case where i added foam and i made a shim just to properly aligned the volume wheel.
Got the gasket link in description. Yeah the top frame is literally just seated on to of the bottom case. The clips that latches to the bottom case is now a stand 😂 it’s just like an Rk68 bezel now.
The volume wheel works fine on mine. There’s a bit of distance but it’s fine since I don’t use it that much.
Will akko switches fit in RAKK KIMAT XT.LE REV 2? I don't know much about mechanical keyboards so I had to make sure if akko switches would fit in RAKK KIMAT XT LE REV 2 considering how akko switches fits in other rakk mechanical keyboards and by the way great video

I can't say better, there are also cherry mx that are really good like the hyperglides.

Hi the case foams I used po ay anti collision foam kaya may adhesive na siya dati. Pwede ka din magpagawa ng plate foam sa pmx.gg shopee kung gusto mo po less hassle. 😁
