I have one. I just love everything of it (and my wife too as a passenger). 22 000 kms on the clock and we got no problem at all. 4,2 liters/100 km average consumption, little maintenance, a very good motorbike. Thank you, Guzzi engineers!

I love that the yootoob closed captions state "music" and "applause" when you are showcasing the sound of the engine. It's ironically accurate! 😂 One tip I'd offer you, and every motorcycle channel, don't just give your height as it's not super helpful. Share your inseam as it is way more relevant to how the bike fits and is more relatable. Two riders that are the same height can have very different leg lengths and thus a very different fit for the same bike!

This is a beautiful motorcycle, in my opinion. I want to trade in my Aprilia Dorsoduro for this one. It reminds me of the DD in many ways. They have a lot of similar small quirks, as they are both Piaggio Group bikes. However, this one is more comfortable. I have had the DD for many years, and it is time for me to get something more practical. Great review! Thank you.

Great great great!!! One question that I would like to have your point of view .. I have watched your comparison videos but still , I wonder how you gonna answer it.. :) I got a Moto Guzzi v7 Racer and now also considering to have a second bike to take touring .. I m in love with v100 Mandello but also thinking like v85 TT would be a better solution for my necassity .. I know v100 is a better bike , I know the capabilities .. but I will be keeping my Racer for city riding .. How would you handle this situtation :D v85 TT or v100 as a second bike ? Cheers mate

    • @droommotor
      @droommotor  6 місяців тому

Really depends mate! I think the v100 is the better touring bike and a lot more fun than the v85tt. Unless you ride two op the v100 is the better option. But also consider the V100 Stelvio which is coming next year

Thanks for the great review. Just one friendly advice from my side: It is now the second V85TT video I see from you where you just guess the specs of the motorcycles and get them wrong just to correct them in editing. Preparing the specs and facts about the bike beforehand to get them right in the first place is much more appealing for the viewer. Otherwise the question comes up "Why is he trying to tell me anything about this bike if he didn't do his research?".
I love the bike and I will get one very soon! Ride safe!

    • @droommotor
      @droommotor  10 місяців тому +1

Thanks mate! We had the specs with us. And the google search said 76HP for example. But when editing I checked again and it was 80hp (this was because of the update of the engine I guess) on the 22 model. but thanks for your feedback!

    • @Dave-sw2dm
      @Dave-sw2dm 10 місяців тому

He was actually correct the first time. The Euro 5 bike has less HP but makes torque a little lower in the RPM range than the Euro 4 bikes.

I've owned a 1100 sport. I tried and tried to find what might make it look even better. Anything that was available or came to my mind did the opposite. Moto Guzzis hardly ever get "tuned". They are as beautiful as they can get, straight from the box. Wonderful brand!

I purchased one here in California from a good dealer (gp cycles so cal) ive bought a few bikes from them. Selective buyer here
It was a 2020 with 700 miles on it
    9999.00
Chris threw in the bags and allowed me to swap a rock guard off of another bike they had (2500+500 easy)
    I got it delivered
    Delivery guy was super cool
    Then i rode it.
    It was a bit lethargic
I suppose im used to twice the power
It's also twice the power of a klr I owned a long time ago
So i got a killer deal
I notice some scrapes on the rear luggage frame and they were sanded and repainted
I assume the prior owner was inept and his wife made him sell it
    Hahaha
    Not one scratch elsewhere
It had a big windscreen and no spotlights
I bought new awesome spotlights, and a cheap but equal top box to match. I got the way better top open guzzi bags
Anyway, the engine case guards ended up better than the stock or givi ones and they are bigger and painted silver to match which is awesome with the all silver bike
Im telling you i bought it because it was the right color❤
I rode her about 5000 miles now
I like this bike very very much
Its not that slow that it would matter
    It goes 120mph
At 100 its smooth and solid
Better than my BMW GS was
    And more comfortable
It doesnt split traffic like some of my other bikes and i live in gridlock california
If the bags were on i would likely not split at all
But it splits as good as any harley would
    It sounds great
I have a new SS header from china to drop the cat and be straight and i have a GPR can as i have had a zillion and im ok with GPR
They dont make a Yoshi can, dude?
    Haha
Its a fun easy bike and if you push it and get aggressive it somehow manages and thus it impresses me
The dash is too small for sensible viewing but the gas guage is the best in the world so i will trade for just that
    Comfort is a 9 out of 10
    Looks? Subjective
Peiple will dump on this simple easy to maintain tractor bike all day long
I can only contain my laughter
If you buy one theres a 95% chance you will adapt to it and recognize what a fool you have been
    Haga
I have vrubber hitman tires waiting to mount
    Did the pegs
Blew it on the handguards since theres no bar mounting room left
    Ill work on that
I had the worst buffet wind of any bike yet but installed a little wing on the top of the screen and it kept collapsing at speed so i superglued the guts of the bracket pieces and it hasnt moved since
    No buffetting now!!!!
I have ridden off road in street tires and its balanced but porky
It has ok power quick in 1st but not so much in 2nd so you have to rev it up to pop it.
You guys should buy this bike.....
    Pffffffftttt❤❤❤

I could go on and on to convince you...
I think in my life I've "found" almost all the bikes twenty friends have bought
      Seriously
I scan shit like a robot
      I scrutinize all factors
I bought the scientific consensus bike
      The generic jeep prototype
      I'm pretty happy about it
The tuareg would have been an equally exciting bike but I just sold a husky Terra (maybe I made a big mistake) (I did) should have kept it
One of the best bikes ever made period
But I wanted to carry gear and go camp solo without a truck follower etc
We would carry collapsable fishing rods tents food beer and the husky just couldn't pull that off smoothly beyond a 500 mile loop
      I should have kept her
I had a klx250s years ago that was also fun like the husky but had the same issues
The v85tt compromises and the overall gains are like an A in physics
      Comfort
      Seat height
      Off road ok
      Durable
      Easy maintenence
      Shaft drive
      No radiator it's air cooled
      Solid feel
Tubeless or tubeless capable is 125.00
      Sound and looks
Enough power to have a passenger for a longer ride
      Passing power
      Smooth
      Cost effective
      Italian
      Incredible history
      Bulletproof
I had a friend buy one
      Now it's your turn,...

Bike looks great. Especially in these yellow, red, white colours. But I tested it and I don't really like anything about it. I was hoping, as they say in all these videos, that this is a motorcycle with the feel of a classic. And it's just outdated. It's heavy and that's how it goes. Especially at low speeds. It's good that this motorcycle is not another superbike, but it would be nice to be able to overtake a car with it - it accelerates slower than my bicycle. The display is small in ugly colors.

Thanks. This is not correct. Depends on where you read it. Transversal engines and longitudal engines are often mistaken for each other. If you check the specs online many websites claim that it is a transversal 90 degree v-twin www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/moto%20guzzi/Moto_Guzzi_V85TT_19.html
