I had a Ducati Scrambler , as much as it was an exciting bike around town , on twists mountain day rides . BUT was a scrambler is name only , didn’t do off road well , I upgraded suspension, was better ( BUT 150 mm of travel is still only 150mm of travel ) Also seat was like a piece of 4X2 - had to get it modified. I put a screen on as well - like his ( a Dart screen ? ) I had the Urban Enduro model .Also Air filter a difficult to change. And Low fuel range . Niw I own a Moto Guzzi V85tt 2021 model . I think it’s WAY better for our Australian road and off road conditions. I brought it for the following:
    1. Shaft drive - no chain maintenance on long trips
    2. Cruise Control- the BIG long open Australian roads
    3. Big tank range
    4. Comfortable
    5. Wire wheels

Hello! The first Moto Guzzi V85TT in 2019 in Europe had the Euro 4 emissions standard and 80 hp. I think it was 2021 when the Guzzi got the next emissions standard, Euro 5, and it had 76 hp after that. The 2024 model now has Euro 5+ and with a revised engine (variable valve control) now has 80 hp again. Here in Europe, performance always depended on the emissions standard, never on the engine volume. Best wishes from Bavaria 😉😉

I love my V7 Stone. It’s so much fun. The V85 is sort of a similar ride and I really like the look of it. However, my next bike is going to be the Stelvio, different ride and still has the shaft drive that I like.

Both great bikes, but it's the V85tt for me.

    Nice.
I’ve got a Desert Sled in South America, and. V85TT in Alaska. The Guzzi engine is smoother at lower RPM, and simply has more torque than the Ducati. With that said, the Desert Sled is a more capable moto; the Guzzi gets uncomfortable in wild terrain.
Looking at a standard Scrambler for my low ride time vertically challenged wife.

V85TT my most likely next purchase. Here in the US, there are languishing '23s left at good discounts. I have my eye on one.

It was hard to put my finger on what I love about it at first. Yeah, it checks all my boxes for cruise control, heated grips, and shaft drive. The real turn on though is that it is ALIVE with a cacophony of sounds, vibrations, and responses.

I would buy a scrambler except for the 12 ounce gas tank.

Shaft drive I like. It most talking about older bikes. Our 81 magna 750 did do it bad. But got lot of power and not best chassis. So it would life bike up many inches and v max and some others do I bad. I think better engineering makes it less or heavier long bikes not as much. My FJR would do some but not notable like others I’ve had.
