- T496619J AFFORDABLE, SMALL, LIGHT, DURABLE watch. IT is really small, probably smaller than you expect, and VERY light. That said there are some flaws. Acrylic crystal - easy scratchable. After just two months of EDC, there are some scratches. There is an awesome CHIME function - I love it. When CHIME is on it will beep every hour- very useful for time management. The only gripe is that there is NO option to turn it OFF for nighttime. So every morning I have to turn it on, and every evening turn it OFF. IF you forget to do that it will beep at midnight! Overall very impressive
Update on Timex Expedition TW4B Chrono Alarm Timer
2020-12-21 Works like new. Perfect timekeeping. The screen has some scratches. I will try to take them out using Dremel and polishing compound.
2021-10 Indiglo doesn't work but still keeps perfect time. After battery replacement Indiglo works.
2022 01 22 works like new. Still didn't change the wrist strap to all black nato. The strap holds fine just after all that time - dirty.

Purchased this because I wanted a small durable watch. I wish they made the strap all black, but I put a black perlon strap on it, I love it!
i use it every day and love it. Screen scrached but i can live with that.
VideoBite because the watch is so small, it’s usually under my cuff. The rubber bumper seems to be pretty good too
Is it easy to change the strap? It looks like there's a rubber stopper where the pin is
does your screen flicker in strong sunlight at angles?
No. Never flicker at sunlight at any angle. My screen is scratched. There is some metal particles embedded in screen - from cutting metal. Changed battery few times, works fine - no flickering.

"Freestyle Shark Classic Mini Black" is also small and looks not weirdly, but functions are worse.
Addition: "So every morning i have to turn it on" - You may place the watch in sound isolated place as a box with foam rubber, a drawer, farther from you, etc.
good point. I still use the same strap. Crystal has some minor scratches, other than that works like new.
@@VideoBite Plastic lugs have more possibility to break than nylon strap. My first plastic Casio has ended by this way during 2 years. To reduce the chance of this is possibly by steel expansion strap alike Speidel makes, Timex, Swatch etc use at some models. Such Timex straps I saw reported as not reliable, mb other producers have better ones.

I love it. Using right not for work every day. Wrist size 17cm - watch perfect size - personally don't like big, heavy and clucky watches.

@@AiirenaiMono Yes. 2 time zones, 3 alarm, daily, workdays, or weekends. Chronograph. Good backlight. Small, sturdy. Waterproofing. Battery last for around 1.5 years. Changed battery two times.
Can you go back and get your split times from the chrono after you press the stop button
Yes. It keeps split times. To reset them you have to hold stop button.
Does it have a vibrate alarm
No. But it beeps LOUD.
For some reason when I put an alarm it won’t give me the option to change too pm and am :(
this is not a smart watch.. use military time 24:00 hours.
How can I make my alarm go off this a.m.?
How do I turn on the chime in the timer function?
HOLD SET untill time starts to blink, press MODE button until you find CHIME ON.OFF FUNCTION.. START/SPLIT button change function.
Is this mens watch?
Its UNISEX. My wife wants same watch but with blue strap. Its a good watch for small and medium size hands - it's really SMALL and LIGHT. Good everyday beater.
@@VideoBite Thank you for your reply. Case 33mm seems to be very small, almost for a childs wrist.
It is small. If you have larger wrist then you probably need biger watch. I personally dont like big and clunky heavy watches.
They make 41mm versions of you want a larger one

Hold SET untill time blinks Press MODE to go to Hours, minutes, Year month day - you can change them with START/SPLIT button.
