- Buying cool super affordable watches can be as much or more fun then any other watches. Try it out, find the coolest cheapest watch you can. This Timex is crazy cool, the negative display would be fun too.

I've had several ironmans in the past and really liked them. Haven't seen this style before, but I dig it. The spring bars are a new development too that is a nice upgrade.
I just bought this watch and mate it is just fantastic as my beater watch. I use it everyday to work, when going to grocery and etc. this is my all around watch
Hi!
Is it a rugged watch? How accurate is it? ±30 seconds per month?
Great review, thank you. I just bought a used one from Amazon for $26.
I've worn and loved the square g shocks since the 1980's. But I can't read the time without my glasses and it's getting harder and annoying to press the recessed buttons. I tried the Casio gd350 & Timex Bst.47. I loved their features and big display but they were too big for me.
I think Timex mailed this one for me. Big display, small diameter, easy strap options without buying adapters and no annoying graphs cluttering the display. WOW. Timex is really attracting the g shock crowd.
I really like the way Timex uses the space on the module for the important stuff, time, date, etc. I own two watches...both Ironman. Good review.
Thanks for the review. I appreciate you providing the lug to lug dimensions which seem to be impossible to find anywhere else.
Hiya from the UK.I am no spring chicken so as beaters for the sake of my ailing eyes I have a Timex indigo for night and my beloved Casio 200 anologue for day.Half my other pieces I struggle to read! Sad fact but true.I enjoy the range of stuff you review btw.Cheers,Len.
THANKS for the review, Rob. I am also a "Senior Citizen" who needs a bigger numbers to see ... and I love Casio watches, but most of them has small numbers. This might be the perfect watch for me. I am going to pick one up from Amazon right now. Also, I do have a lot of 20mm bands laying around and it would be fun to swap them once in a while.
thanks Rob. have a "Big # Timex" Day!!!
Glad to see I'm not the only one who does a strap change and effectively doubles the value of a watch ... in my case it was a Casio W217, which also has a nice, large readout.
Thanks for the review. I have been looking at this watch for a daily beater.
Have had a couple of them. The instructions for this watch is like reading a novel! So many functions! But it is a fun watch. Just wish it was a little more durable. The plastic is tough, but it’s still breaks easier than a gshock.
Just found out they did canvas now. I want one of those canvas Haveston straps in my life. Love their standard natos.
Ordered a blue one for $25 because of the large digits and the 20mm lugs. I like wearing NATO straps. Thanks for the review.
I couldn’t find this exact watch at Wal Mart, but the regular Ironman triathlon T5K693 was on sale for 21 dollars, the one with the Velcro strap.
I stupidly thought there was a stick on cover over the dial and scratched the dial trying to get it off, but I can live with it.
Great info, specially about the straps.
Thank you for this review!
Excellent review; accurate measurement of dimensions is much appreciated. Single pass nato straps (sometimes referred to as RAF strap) is my favorite as it does not add bulk like traditional two layer Nato strap. The straps that are made out of perlon material dry much faster than regular nylon. Also, straps that are made from seatbelt material like ones found on some OMEGA watches are super smooth and comfortable. 20mm strap is most versatile by far and it's something CASIO has not understood yet.
Imagine having this exact same watch; function and screen layout with negative display in a Casio G-Shock look alike; Instead of rounded corners more square frame with bolder/sharper angles, 40mm frame with 20mm lug width, 12.5 mm height...
Nice find! I've got a couple large digit digitals in my collection, and wear them more than I care to admit (only a year away from 50...that's my excuse anyway.)
Wow! Great watch! That Indiglo is really good.
I’ll bet a Barton Elite silicone would work pretty good on that bad boy.
Yes that would be a great strap choice
I have one of these - superb watch - I added a Bonito cinturini rubber dive strap and it looks the bollocks
Great review bro. Nice strap choice as well
Cool Timex! U can say it man,I can’t see worth a shit without glasses..
Got this watch. Very easy to scratch.
It's a better workout watch probably too, its what the Ironman is known for. For Zombie Apocalypse Gshock for sure. Btw, I bought a Haveston M1936 and it is my favorite right now.
Good review….looks interesting except the 2024 Amazon price of $90-110. I’ll keep my eye out for a better price on the net…
Rob, I am a small distributor for the Casio AE1200WHD-1A , would be be interested in doing a review. If so I will one out, These are real cool fun watches.
Email me. crvluv@yahoo.com
Can it count down 24h only or like other watches from 99h?
First thing noticed was the lug width :) This is where Casio fails miserably...
Tnx for this review
I gave my Rollex to my son-in-law
Hi, great video, thanks.....does it have a good loud alarm? 👍👏😃🇨🇦
Thx for your review.
My strap holder would slide up and downs and my trap would come out to fix this use gorilla glue set it where it would be in the best place and glue it works great now My light quit shortly after i bought it can’t see the time after dark
Only 10 laps ?
What do you recommend for 50 or 100 laps ?
Thanks for the video, I got this in the U.K. with the timex fast wrap strap which is really uncommon in the U.K. for some reason?
is this soap proof? my wife wants to know..
Hi. How did you turned on this watch? It just arrived and I am not being able to see anything. I don’t know why.
Should be on, battery is dead maybe?
What is the model number of the negative display?
Any follow up on this watch?
I sold it for cheap
I assume it didn’t hold up?
