Considering everything Snake had to deal with, this is ridiculously impressive. He had to track down several objectives, sneak past countless enemies- including several rooms literally filled with Marines,- and fight Olga all without raising any alerts except for the corridor fight whilst only using his tranq pistol for most of it, which would’ve limited his viable targets to face shots since body and head armor would’ve blocked the darts in-universe. The only time he could’ve used a regular weapon would’ve been during the aforementioned shootout in the corridor with Gurlukovich soldiers, who all had grenades and rifles while he only had a 9mm handgun and possible some grenades at most as his best options…in what was virtually a point-blank shootout in unbelievably tight quarters. And somehow he manages to not take a single wound from either Olga or the soldiers despite the disadvantages he was at. For comparison, it took SEAL Team Six 40 minutes to carry out the assassination of bin Laden with heavy assistance from remote forces and having 79 soldiers (and a dog) directly carrying out the raid. It took Snake just three times as much time to cover more ground, fight heavier resistance with worse equipment, not get caught any more than once, and carry out multiple different objectives on his own than it took some of the most elite soldiers in the world to carry out killings with an entire small army.
Sure Snakes feats in all the MGS games are nuts, but nobody ever talks about all the stuff he did in the first two Metal Gear games. Something about how resourceful he was during those first two missions is just other worldly. Almost as resourceful as Big Boss.
I wouldn't say the Gurlukovich men had worse equipment than the militia guarding Bin Laden, it would've been similar or better. The tanker guards mostly carried AKS-74us and Makarovs, the alert response team often carrying shields and SAIGA-12 shotguns. Gurlukovich troops are all either former soviet or former Outer Heaven stock, so their training, equipment maintenance and quality are all likely very high quality/discipline. Many of them in the Plant chapter carry AN-94 rifles which was the current Russian army service rifle at the time, so they must be focused on being well equipped and relatively up to date. Bin Laden's men, however... mostly old Soviet surplus AKs from the 60s and 70s, which while not bad, isn't great. Many of them complained of rusting or otherwise broken rifles too, a big issue that Al Queada had was poor maintenance of their weapons and equipment. Gurlukovich's army is pretty efficient, well trained and given the good treatment of troops, very wealthy.
And Raiden completed the plant in about a day. He arrived early in the morning at sunrise, and then while he was helping Emma walk across the oil fence it was sunset. The whole arsenal gear thing took place at night and then it was morning again by the time he beat solidus.
Let's do the math - 1. Arrive Soviet territory in the middle of the night, slept till morning to fight the Ocelot unit 2. The sun rises when Snake meets Granin (so at least one day) 3. Now here's the variable: did The End die of old age? a) If yes then add 14 days b) If no then by the time he reaches Groznjgrad (however that is spelt) and bust out of the holding cell, it's middle of the night again (day 2) before he jumps into the river during day time 4. There's no depiction of the sun going down from this point anymore, so by the time Big Boss defeated The Boss and flies out, I think that looks like around 3pm, judging by the colour of the sky he flew away (bearing in mind it is Russia in early September). So altogether 2.5 days +/- 2 hours? Any correction to my estimation?

didn't snake wait around for an opening after he jumped onto the tanker, then saw the invading force? i'd assume thats where a decent amount of time came form.
