I see a lot of people asking how to get the Stealth Camo so here's the answer: You unlock it by collecting dog tags. Nearly all guards have dog tags and to collect them you first need to hold up a guard, then aim at their head from the front. They will then drop a dog tag for you to collect. Some of the guards will need some persuasion first, which means they won't drop a dog tag before you either wound them or shoot near them with a lethal weapon such as the SOCOM or USP. You need 50% of all dog tags to unlock the stealth camo, so for the Tanker chapter that's 76 dog tags and for Plant it's 121. You need to play through the game a few times to be able to collect enough. Be sure to use the same save file when collecting them (always do New Game+ instead of New Game). There are dog tags on all difficulty levels except European Extreme. I recommend playing on Very Easy, Easy and Normal if you want to get the stealth as fast as possible.
I'm a bit late, but a pro tip on holding guards up: they will all be scared shitless when you point a heavy weapon at them, such as the grenade launcher or stinger.
I'm glad you found it entertaining! 😄 I certainly had quite a few laughs myself as well when recording all this stuff, messing with the guards never gets old 😂😂
Oh my god the shit at 4:15, that single frame animation from standing to hitting the floor caught me so off guard. Hilarious shit man, thanks for this.
I used to spend SO MUCH time messing with the guards on Shell 1 Core, using Claymores, Books, C4, Stuns, Chaff... It was so fun. I was like 5 years old and the game had just came out and I could never have enough of playing it. To this day, I finished the game like 10000x, I know every line of codec and cutscenes, but I keep finding new mechanics and fun stuff to do, like in this video. MGS2 is legendary. My fav game of all time
I like how, at the beginning, the guards look directly at Raiden after kicking their comrade off the bridge. It's like they had a sense that Raiden was there and blamed him lol
I use to spend hours doing random bs with the guards rather than actually play the game lol. My favorite is in the tanker where Metal Gear RAY is. Do CQC on the Marines and they all fall like bowling pins lol.
Same. I used to spend a long time figuring out all of the interactions / behaviours depending on what part of guards you shoot. Kinda dark for the age I was but I had a lot of fun
Nah it doesn't. In fact you can kick guards over railings into the water yourself as well without it counting as a kill. It's a little strange how it works, the game considers some kills as "indirect" and doesn't count them. It's even more lenient in MGS3 where you can use explosive drums to "indirectly" kill enemies lol
I never considered them dead if they fell in the water, I saw it as saving their lives, so they washed up on shore instead of getting sucked down to the bottom of the Hudson Bay, when arsenal gear rose out of the water. 2:42 was funny.
Raiden: "Perhaps you are Ames, right?" Guard: "!?" R: "Perhaps you are Ames, right?" G: "!..." R: "Perhaps you are Ames, right?" G: "..." R: "Perhaps you are Ames, right?" G: "...maybe?"
If a guard finds another guard asleep and wakes them up, that puts the guards in the area into a certain kind of "mode" where they think that their comrades are messing with them and if they proceed to come across any allies with their hands up, they'll kick them and knock them out. And given that fact you can get pretty creative and have the guards literally kill each other 😂
@@Steambull1 It was more available until very recently. It was the only one, before the Master Collection to make it to all platforms since MGS2 Substance.
Normally they do that when you shoot a guard and another guard sees it happen, so they take out their binoculars and look into the direction where the shot came from, which makes sense. But in that case they're acting as if the player shot the guard even though it was their own comrade who knocked him out, which is totally cheating 😂
(Did one of just knock that guard to the lower level to his death?...) "uh, looks like everything is clear here guys, let's go back to our positions" lol
For context- this is the result of an exploit. When guards in this game see another guard with their hands up then they kick the guard who has their hands up to snap them out of it. Also, when an enemy gets hit near a ledge, they lose their balance and fall over it. So what the video creator has done here is combine these two conditions which results in the guards unintentionally killing their comrades.
Copying and pasting the pinned comment I made: You unlock it by collecting dog tags.
