Although I really struggled with the initial build and I was not able to get all the same parts as the The Hobbyist Miner had listed, I was able to get the rig together and working. Its a hobby at this point and its been mining Ravencoin for a while now. I was stoked to see this vid as I was starting to get the "Itch" and now I know where to go with it. Thanks!
the first part of this series compelled me to start my first mining rig and as of yesterday i added my 4th 1660 super and got it up running on the rig. pretty awesome that this rig and mine seem to be growing at the same speed lol. thanks Hobbyist Miner!
1660 S/Ti are lowest i would go for. Older GPUs have poor efficiency and higher power costs. When market profitability drops, newer card will stay profitable for a bit longer
Great little starting rig, Like you i did find problems with some cards on some motherboards. My new builds are with mining motherboard less problems in general no risers.
Thank you very much for this great series. I had one question: what do we need to look for when buying / search for a mother board to mine? Are there 'things' that would disqualify the motherboard directly? Did i understood this correctly:the performances of the motherboard (cpu + ram) have no effect on the minning performances, right? Would be great to see what thr gains were after 10 days with these 3 new additional graphic cards btw. Cheers!
On the R9 380's. Did you try running them on phoenix miner only? I have two of that same gigabyte model and on phoenix miner they pull just under 50mh at about 145-160w. Not great, but not terrible either.
After a year mining, suddenly my colorful 1660 super not detected when connected by pcie riser. But its work well when directly installed to motherboard and already mining for more than 48h. I dont know what happened, no change on bios setting or gpu driver.
My lovely friend now or you go and play all in like invest 10-15k or nothing is not worth someone to go and build something small is pointless and you know it
My 1660supers are a mix of Samsung and Hynix, Samsung get around 32.3mh on a 830 core and 2200 mem. Hynix ones get 31.8-32.0 with a 930 core and -1004 mem. Similar wattage on both.
I’m sorry to say this but Couldn’t you have continued to be a voice over POV in your videos? I’d gotten used to it so much that I’ve been having difficulty getting along with your face😅 No offences, it just feels awkward

Glad it worked out!

Heck Yeah!

Love watching how you can build on a budget, and your suggestions (super flower), missed this later upgrade somehow🤫
Thanks!

i dont know how you have done it BUT THIS VIDEO IS VERY GOOD. nice one mate.
Thank you

What GPUs have you bought recently to expand your GPU Mining Rigs?
Evga 1660 super and 3080 non lhr from rma
whatever i can get my hands on that within my budget, last one was a Gigabyte 1660Ti
I was somehow able to get a White Strix 3090 last Friday.
Not sure how my Micro Center managed to get one, let alone 3.
3080ti Founders Edition. Might add some 1060s or 1660 supers or something cheap.
Got 8 1660 supers they Hash about 31.4 and cost about 220 each.
Is there another video on this rig once you got this current build going?
Good video!
My R9-390 crashes and burns with any AMD driver higher than 20.40. I downgraded hiveos for that rig, and it never misses a beat.
I like the crawl-walk-eventuallyrun series… gets people to get their toes wet and so forth 😃
Here in New Zealand can get EVGA 1660 super for $499NZD still expensive
I like that Super Flower PSU, might check it out for a budget GPU test rig.
I like so much this type of video
Sorry for my English I’m Italian
Is it profitable? How much does it make per day?

thank you for this brodie💜
R9 380 is always favorit gpu for CCXD & Red Fox 😂
hey men can i know what part you get it dor that little rig and where. can i get the list
In the video description.
Can’t find that power supply for 79 bucks do you have the direct link

Just a dead riser? In the last year i've had three dead already.
Dead riser
No, I tried the riser with another gpu and its fine.
Did the 1060 6gb really drop in price that much?
is this rig still profitable ?
You never get this in Malaysia🤣🤧 1660Ti & super almost $500.. not including others Hardware
Can u mine bitcoin on this rig?
My lovely friend now or you go and play all in like invest 10-15k or nothing is not worth someone to go and build something small is pointless and you know it
Where do we get the PCI splitters? Are they supposed to be 8pin female to dual pin male?
Gpurisers.com has ones I use
how did you overclock your gpus?
Can you build a rx580 rig?
ua-cam.com/video/YpX5fReVaoo/v-deo.html
Yes those Hynex memory cards are not good you are always 2-4 MHs less
My 1660supers are a mix of Samsung and Hynix, Samsung get around 32.3mh on a 830 core and 2200 mem. Hynix ones get 31.8-32.0 with a 930 core and -1004 mem. Similar wattage on both.
Rx 6600 8 gb.
no1 would buy the 4gb GPU - id rather go the route of getting more 1660super or TI
I’m sorry to say this but Couldn’t you have continued to be a voice over POV in your videos?
I’d gotten used to it so much that I’ve been having difficulty getting along with your face😅
No offences, it just feels awkward
As a hobby with this setup, yes, but as for profit, no.
what if i get basically free electricity?
😁
Don't waste time and money on this scam
It's not I made $450 the last r months because I got myself 5 rtx 3090 ti and have 2 more rigs I made all my money back 1.5 years later
