      That transition at the very end where the camera pans around the chair and you see Ezio kneeling there is one of the best transitions in history.
      The entire scene in fact. It's a passing of the torch in almost every way.
      It shows Altäir passing his wisdom to Ezio, Ezio then passing his to Desmond.
      It has a new composer, who made an incredibly cinematic score for this game and captured the emotion of it perfectly.
      It even has a new writer.
      It never fails to bring a tear to my eye.

      There's 2 reasons he should have appeared here.
      1. It's not impossible for Malik to make appearance in this game because the Voice actor for Suleiman is the same with Malik, ie; Haaz Sleiman.
      2. He should have appeared in the first two missions. Where before he had his arm cut off; the first mission and the second mission where Altair sends him to Jerusalem.

      DiMZLY BriXX
      According to the book he was framed for killing Altair's son and put in the dungeon. When Altair returned he saw that a council had taken over but he did not believe that Malik killed his son. So that night he broke him out of prison and took him back with him to his room and where him and Maria proceeded to nurse him back to health.
      Unfortunately when he went to confront Abas The next day they killed Malik and framed him for it. While him and Maria were out of the room an assassin came and decapitated Malik and Abas made it look like Altair killed Malik out of revenge for Malik killing his son.
      Also the book was much more graphic. After the assassin admitted to killing his sonAltair became in raged in and use the Apple against the assassin. However in the book the assassin didn't just freeze up. He proceeded to claw his own face off; ripping off bits of flesh and mutilating himself while wildly thrashing around. Maria was killed when she tried to stop Altair. And the assassin that was possessed by the Apple while lease one his blade around and unintentionally slit her throat.
      When he escaped in the book he did not do so by writing out of the city with his son by his side. He jumped from the tower overlooking the cliffs which left the assassins to think he committed suicide out of grief for accidentally killing Maria.

    • @Erricane

      Malik was executed when he was discovered helping Altair after Sef's death.
      You should read the book, Assassin's Creed Revelations. It tells the full story of Altair's whole life as well as the time Ezio was in Constantinople.
      If I had to say which book was the greatest, then Revelation is definitely recommended. What was once historical, returned being hidden from the world.

    Honestly this was my favorite game of all the AC games. Especially with these parts. Altair said “if only I had the humility to say I have seen enough for one life.” The apple no doubt helped him live to that age and be able to go that long. That’s exactly what Ezio learned. When tempted with the apple again in Altair library, he shuns it away and says “No, I have seen enough for one life.” Ezio absolutely could have lived to the same age as Altair, but Ezio did what Altair wished he could do. That was his message.

    Says a lot about the strength of Altair as it's implied he studied the Apple's secrets for decades. Words cannot express the weight he must have carried, on top of the loss he suffered throughout his life. Truly a legend.

    • @efrainsoto96
      @efrainsoto96 3 місяці тому +1

      Altair’s strength goes beyond his skill in combat and parkour-it’s rooted in his unyielding will and the intellectual curiosity that led him to dedicate decades to unlocking the secrets of the Apple. That he spent a lifetime studying this artifact speaks to his sense of duty and vision for the Assassin Brotherhood. He wasn’t just accumulating power for himself; he was learning how to use it to build a better world, even if it meant a life of isolation and constant hardship. The weight of the Apple, both figuratively and literally, placed a unique burden on Altair, one he chose to bear knowing it could lead to his downfall.
      His personal sacrifices amplify his strength as well. Altair suffered incredible losses, including losing family, friends, and his master. Yet, he didn’t let these losses make him bitter or resentful; instead, they fueled his commitment to the Creed. He saw the toll that obsession with power had taken on Al Mualim and vowed to break that cycle, to redefine the Brotherhood’s values for generations to come.
      Altair’s strength is also seen in his willingness to share his knowledge through the codex, ensuring the Brotherhood would be guided long after he was gone. He didn’t hoard his understanding of the Apple’s secrets; he refined it into a legacy that would serve others. Altair was a true leader, blending wisdom and resilience to leave behind principles and values that would empower his successors to protect freedom. His journey is a testament to the burden he carried not only for himself but for every Assassin who would come after.

    • @efrainsoto96
      @efrainsoto96 Місяць тому

      The Apple of Eden and the Shiva Lingam-two fascinating symbols, one rooted in mythic technology from Assassin’s Creed and the other a profound representation of creation and energy in Hinduism.
      Connecting these ideas is intriguing! The Apple of Eden, crafted by the Isu, represents knowledge, control, and divine power. The Shiva Lingam, a symbol of cosmic energy and creation, embodies the union of masculine and feminine forces in Hindu philosophy. If the two were to merge conceptually, you might envision an artifact imbued with the power of cosmic balance, capable of influencing both the physical and metaphysical realms.
      Would you like me to explore this connection further or create something inspired by it?

How they are polar opposites and how Altair wishes he would’ve said that he’s seen enough and how Ezio admits that and gives up his life as an Assassin while Altair dies being one. We should all look at this the way it was supposed to be looked at. Keys #1 and #2 showed Altair as a young assassin rising through the order until he became the mentor of the assassin order.
    Key #3 is when he is an older man and with a family. It showcases a man who's had it all but lost it in mere moments. The only one who alive was his oldest son.
    Key #4 showed Altair reclaiming his throne as the true mentor of the Assassins. However this was also a burden. He could've given his son the title of mentor or someone younger and trustworthy. This is why he said what he said in key #5
    Key #5 Altair has placed his memories in keys to be discovered by someone he would know nothing about. However because of the influence of the apple he felt obligated to teach this "someone" to be wise enough to know when to stop fighting and to live the life they and everyone deserves to live. A life of peace and with a family. This is the reason why he never told his son the true purpose of the vault and only told him to "live well". Altair had many chances to retire but he didn't. He was burdened to keep fighting and at the very end he died a regretful life. But not people passing on his memories.
    Key #6 Altair tells his only son to live well for him as Altair could never do. And without knowing it he taught Ezio that he had seen enough for one life time just like Altair had when he saw Niccolo polo off.
    Its safe to assume that if Altair didn't leave these memories behind then Ezio would've token the apple to continue fighting and in the end he would've died alone and regretful just like Altair in the very end. Instead Ezio took a different path.
    Leaving the Apple and starting a family with Sophia.

    • @Ashberryvillage10
      @Ashberryvillage10 7 років тому

      I almost forgot key #7 which was not made until Warren Vidic built the animus and allowed Desmond to view Ezio memories. This last "key" was left by Ezio who in the end wanted to teach Desmond one final lesson to end his story.

    • @efrainsoto96
      @efrainsoto96 3 місяці тому

      The synergy between Altair, Ezio, and Desmond is such a powerful aspect of the Assassin’s Creed series. Ubisoft really hit a high note with how they wove these characters’ stories together. It was a perfect blend of ancient and modern narratives, and the historical elements were woven so seamlessly with Desmond’s journey. Visiting Istanbul must have felt surreal, especially after seeing the city through the eyes of an Assassin. The setting, the culture, and the way the game captured it made it feel like stepping into history. Hopefully, Ubisoft will return to that magic, where the stories feel deeply connected and resonant.

      @efrainsoto96 3 місяці тому

      Exactly! Those 29 people who “disliked” it must have been Templars in disguise, aiming to undermine the Assassins’ influence even in the digital realm. They’ll do anything to sway public opinion, hunt down Assassins, and obscure the true meaning of freedom and knowledge. Just like in the games, they’re lurking in the shadows, quietly working to suppress the Brotherhood’s ideals-whether by manipulating history or, apparently, by disliking videos!
      The Templars have always had their ways of twisting things to serve their goals, but the Assassins have never been easy to suppress. The digital age is just one more battleground where the spirit of the Assassins lives on.

      “Assassin’s Creed Revelations” is such a masterpiece, especially for fans of the series who have followed Altair and Ezio’s journeys from the beginning. Altair’s scenes are definitely some of the most emotional in the entire series-they’re powerful and heartbreaking, giving so much depth to his character and legacy. Revelations brings everything full circle, and it does a great job of merging storylines while providing a satisfying closure to both Altair’s and Ezio’s arcs. The memories and flashbacks of Altair are particularly impactful, showing the weight of his responsibilities and sacrifices. It’s no wonder so many fans consider it one of the best titles in the series!

      @efrainsoto96 3 місяці тому

      That’s such a good point! Altair lived an exceptionally long life, especially for his time period, where the average lifespan was much shorter. He not only survived into his 90s but continued to lead and innovate, contributing massively to the Brotherhood and leaving a legacy that would last for centuries. His life was filled with purpose, wisdom, and profound achievements, which really makes his story even more impressive. He didn’t just live longer; he lived with a sense of duty and left an impact that would inspire future generations of Assassins. So, while his death is bittersweet, it’s also a testament to a life fully lived and dedicated to a cause beyond himself.

    • @efrainsoto96
      @efrainsoto96 3 місяці тому

      There was something special about Altair and Desmond sharing the same face, a visual link that highlighted their deep connection across generations. It created a powerful sense that Desmond was retracing Altair’s path, almost stepping into his ancestor’s shoes as he unlocked their shared memories. Seeing Desmond look into the past and finding himself in Altair’s form gave the story a sense of destiny, emphasizing that Desmond was uniquely connected to these great Assassins.
      It also symbolized how the Assassin’s Creed legacy was not just a set of ideals passed down through the ages but an inheritance of spirit and strength. Altair’s face on Desmond was like a reminder of how each Assassin left a piece of themselves within the Brotherhood’s collective memory, guiding and inspiring future generations. It really made the story feel like Desmond was not just experiencing history but actively carrying Altair’s legacy forward.
      That small detail of shared likeness connected Desmond to something larger, showing that his fight was not just his own but part of a much grander lineage.

      Absolutely! Altair's legacy as a skilled Assassin and a complex character resonates with many fans. His journey set the stage for future protagonists and deepened the lore of the series. What do you think makes him stand out among the other Assassins?

      The beards were bugs. If you play them through the first time, they won't be there. They're only present after replaying

    For everyone commenting about his age, the mixed dna of the protagonists who can wield pieces of eden, like he, ezio, Al Mualim, Rodrigo Borgia, and Haytham Kenway, all clearly get extended aging and somewhat enhanced physicality as a result. It's a logical assumption that perfectly explains all the weird crap with their strength and speed. Take the extreme example of Borgia, who did a good job wielding two pieces of eden, was able to duke it out with Ezio. Like 3 times. Despite being a portly man. That's not going over their heads. It's less ridiculous than eagle vision.

    in assassins creed the secret crusade, malik is imprisoned in the dungeons, accused of murdering sef, altair and maria helped him escape but malik was later found, then executed, and later when altair returns to the village, they sent malik junior (his son) to kill altair, malik jr helped altair to get to the castle, i honestly think the book did the story part a little better, as with all books.

      Altair, a true warrior forged in the fires of conflict and honor, embodies the struggle between duty and personal sacrifice. Throughout his journey, he grapples with the weight of his choices and the consequences they bring to those he loves.
      In the end, despite his mastery and resolve, he faces an inevitable fate that reflects the tragic cost of his path. His legacy, while marked by bravery, is also tinged with sorrow, leaving those who remain to ponder the price of his unwavering commitment to his ideals. Altair's story serves as a poignant reminder of the duality of heroism and the shadows it casts.

      Altair's story in *Revelations* is incredibly emotional, especially seeing how much he sacrificed and how he carried the burden of leadership and loss. His final moments, where he records his knowledge for future Assassins and chooses to die alone in the library, are really powerful. It's a fitting end to such a legendary character. His journey was full of struggle, and seeing his legacy endure through Ezio makes it even more impactful. What part hit you the hardest?

    I love these missions, apart from the first one, if the first one is set before AC 1, then Altair should really still be the cocky self-important arse that he is before he redeems himself. In this he's far too wise and forgiving to be pre AC 1, if it was after it would make sense but Al Mualim is still alive so it can't be
