- Arkham Origins is my most viewed movie on UA-cam, currently at over 12 million views. To put that in perspective, that's more views than any of the trailers for Arkham Origins, making it, as far as I can tell, the most viewed video on youtube for that game. Cold Cold Heart is the DLC that was released for the game, and is, in my opinion, the best story DLC released in this series. I've wanted to make this for quite some time now, but I had been putting it off for other larger projects instead, but after I finished Uncharted 4, I had some time between that and the next new game, Rise of the Tomb Raider, so I had some time to work on some of the projects I had been putting off. First I did Assassin's Creed Liberation, and then after a short break, I made this.
Thankfully on PC there are mods to remove most of the HUD in these Arkham games (a fact I didn't know when I made Asylum, hence the zooming), but the mod does not remove a few elements such as the bat signals above enemy heads telling you you can drop down on them, as well as the "saving..." indicators. When I make my movies, I try to make them as close to a real movie experience by removing as many of those elements that make it obvious you're watching a game instead of a movie. There were a few small spots where I was unable to do this, but through the use of editing, cropping, and visual effects, I was able to remove most of them.
After this is released, I have a few other things I will be doing on this channel in the coming months: First of all, some time probably this week or weekend, I will start streaming the last Tomb Raider game. I wanted to replay this with Rise of the Tomb Raider being released soon on PS4, so since I've already played it, I felt like streaming could be a fun way to replay it. After that, I may also replay and stream Watch Dogs, since Watch Dogs 2 will be coming out in November. I would have streamed it later, but I'm going to be busy in October, and possibly November playing and then making a movie of Rise of the Tomb Raider. I will be buying Watch Dogs 2, and if the story is better than the first game, I may consider making movies from both of those games at some point. When that would be, I couldn't say at this point, because I do have another project in the works which is already partially done right now, and that's the Telltale Batman series. I will be recording and editing that series throughout its release, and will release probably a series of movies probably a few weeks after the final episode is released.
If you have any ideas let me know, but know that I don't just make movies out of any game. It has to feel like it would benefit from the movie format to me, so it needs to have a good story, feel cinematic in nature, have good voice acting or motion capture, and good animation/music. If you feel a game hits all those points well, feel free to recommend me something. I do have a long backlog, but if it's something that interests me, I will put it on my list.

And now I’m starting to think about watching the rest of the DCAU in chronological order.
More of a reimagining, but both serve as the origin of Freeze in both universes

This is my favorite dlc. The story was easy to follow and seeing the origin of mr freeze was so bad ass. Not only that. Having more interaction with penguin. And that thermal suit is sigma. I think the best scene in this dlc was when Batman pushed freeze out of the way to save him. Most selfless thing to do as a hero. Batman wants freeze alive so he can serve his crimes but always understands his frustration with the situation he was in. Always called him victor. Treating him like a human being.
I think this beats the other Arkham games

Why no one likes origins?
It doesn't quite hold up to the standard Rocksteady set with Asylum and City, and it also didn't have everybody's favorite voice actors and writers, so it didn't quite feel right to a lot of people, and they also didn't change much from Arkham City, and was a bit buggy in spots, so it felt cheap to a lot of people too.
That being said I think the story and voice work was fantastic, and the DLC is one of my favorite DLCs ever made.

I haven't played either of those games, but they don't seem like they'd really fit as movies, but I do have Injustice 1 on my PS+ that I plan to check out eventually, so I guess I'll see what I think after I play it.

If you mean PS3, they changed that plan and will keep the store open (for now), but buy the DLC anyway, it's great!

Hi Andy, do you port your movies to Blu-ray?
There were a couple personal Blu-rays I made in the early days, but that was only for the first 3 Uncharted and the first 5 Assassin's Creed. I didn't bother with any of the others.

@@cp123hey I believe I used Adobe Encore because I needed interactive menus. If you don't need menus, then something as simple as TSMuxer can work as long as the video is AVC and audio is AC3/DTS

Not sure, the Batman series is definitely a lot more suited to it, but I'd have to replay Back to the Future again to see whether it would fit.

At the end of some iterations, Batman often finds a way to save Mr. Freeze from his cold obsession or vengeance, offering him redemption or a chance to start anew. Depending on the version, Batman might convince him to seek help or offer him a chance to contribute positively to society.

Yeah I was wanting to do this one for quite a while now. This wasn't a live stream though. I do expect to do another live stream starting some time either this weekend or early next week of the 2013 Tomb Raider game. Keep an eye out evenings Eastern time.

Supratim Chakraborty If I ever redo Beyond, it would be if I don't have any other new games that I want to do, and also plenty of time between then and the next game, because that one took me like 3 months to do because of all the VFX I had to do (over 200 shots).
If you can't catch the streams live, they'll always be up as soon as the stream is over.
Woah..!! For a decent game 'Beyond: Two Souls' really was time & effort consuming though. Really appreciate all your effort for turning that game into a quite enjoyable movie. Especially enjoyable because it's in chronological order. Your another work that I do quite like a lot is 'Middle Earth'. That's Epic; both the game & your work on that. (y)

I gave up on trying to get trophies for the Arkham games. While some of challenges are fun, I don't think I have the patience to complete enough of them at a high enough score for what those trophies require lol

Origins My Favorite PS3 Arkham Game, Other Than Arkham City!

Gabriel Fagundes I'm typing subtitles instead of enabling them in game, so that I don't force them on people who don't want them. But it takes a long time to type, so I can't have the subtitles available right away. I will post on my community tab whenever I've uploaded new subtitles for one of my movies. Some of my fans have been helping me subtitle some of my movies as well.

Not really, I didn't think any of them were particularly great story wise, or would fit together very well in movie format. The Mr Freeze sections of Season of Infamy were pretty good, and I considered sticking them on the end of this as an epilogue, but I just didn't feel like it would have worked.
The animation budget went way down, I see.
Do you have any plans for a movie on Mafia 3 or Watch Dogs 2? The storylines of both were very positively received
I don't plan on playing any of the Mafia games, but I will decide on Watch Dogs 2 after I play it, which won't be until after Christmas. I've stopped getting stuff for myself at this point, so I have to wait.
I think you'd make a good director. Andy. Writers should've used these as a screenplay rather than game.

None of those games would really work well in movie format, nor do I think they'd be really worth doing either. The ones I've made are the important parts of the story.

This is a very good movie but not quite as interesting as Orgins, Asylum, Knight. I truely sympathize with Victor Freeze and his wife.....but on a different note. Batman/Bruce Wayne still kicks ass and rocks!!! Plus the uniform changes doesn't hurt either *winks*
