gingerninga True. It should pay attention to the detective aspects of the job like the game, but also be like the animated series, that has some light hearted bantering between characters and some focus on relationships.
Am I the only one who truly appreciates the atmosphere and architecture of the buildings? I'm really into retro stuff from the 40s-60s. I love the old look of everything, and the cold, gritty, run down atmosphere. Arkham Origins also understood this idea in my opinion. It's hard for me to explain why I love the style of this game. If I were to write a Ben Affleck Batman film, I would make the tone and the architecture and atmosphere and design extremely close to this.
I started Arkham City for the first time a few days ago and just finished it today. It is by far the best game I have ever played. The characters are incredible, the voice acting is just right, and it's the best story I've ever seen.
It’s a great game. But greatest ever makes me think you’ve only ever played this game lol I know it’s mostly subjective but even objectively speaking there’s 50 other games made better than this. “I need someone that knows raz” *someone that knows raz appears instantly* “I need a sword” *same person appears out of nowhere instantly with the perfect sword he needs and disappears again* Yea....not even close to greatest game ever.
You've got to appreciate the way they designed Bruce's walk at the beginning of the video; that strolling, not-a-care-in-the-world style is about as un-Batman-like as you get. It's a nice touch that conveys to what extent Bruce goes to hide his TRUE identity.
i seriously was not ready for joker's death. i mean, i knew he was going to die, but the way he died really got me. i mean, he was the clown prince of crime, he was always into big schemes and theatrics and to see him die in such a simple say - on the ground, fighting for breath as a disease slowly killed him. that's no death fit for a prince.
That's the point. Joker is just a man, like everyone else. He _thinks_ he's better, but he's not. Batman would've accepted such a fate with dignity if he had to. Joker couldn't. And that humility is the fine that divides them.

My favourite Batman game hands down. I love how it included small things like the ace chemicals building, and how you got to see things like the GCPD, wonder city, Sionis steel mill, the old cinema where Wayne and Martha died, the Maronis restaurant and the ice berg lounge. I know it sounds silly but a lot of care went into making this game and only a true Batman fan would've appreciated it.
The ending of this is awesome. Batman spent so long trying to stop joker and when joker finally dies. You can see that Batman is actually upset that joker is gone and gives him respect as being such a worthy opponent for all these years
I love how Joker had the chance to see who Batman was, all he had to do was take the mask off while he had Batman unconscious. But no, didn't want to spoil the fun.
Indeed and that's what makes him so great. Their relationship is incredibly fascinating because in the strangest way, they are very much alike yet different only in the finer details. Both are the way they are now due to one really bad experience and has altered their views on things. Batman tried to take his experience and make it into something positive, to fight for justice and prevent that kind of thing happening to others. Joker saw the futility in it all, seeing life itself as just one big joke. Batman is broody, yet positive. Joker is jubilant, yet cynical. Ultimately their conflict comes down to both wanting to "save" the other. Batman wants to believe that people can change and become better than themselves, so while he will always fight Joker and lock him away, he has this vain hope that Joker might be "cured". The Joker on the other hand sees Batman's actions as those of a true mad-man, someone who has seen hell like he has but refuses to accept the conclusion he has, so he keeps tempting Batman to join in the joke, get him to see that the only value a life has is in that moment of death as that's the true punchline to the joke of life itself. Again it makes them so intriguing because on the outside to the uninitiated, you wouldn't think that they are the true rivalry of Batman's story. I mean there's nothing in mythology or history that links bats and clowns together. I mean it's not like having a sun character and moon character be at odds all the time for example. Or water and fire, or nature vs man. Their conflict is more of a philosophical one which makes it all the more memorable and allows it to stick for as long as it has.

This has been my all time favorite game ever since it came out, it has a story like no other, not to mention that the story is incredible, the gameplay is smooth and you feel like you are really Batman. Overall amazing game.
I like how when deadshot showed up, Will Smith's popped up in the right, and he played as Deadshot in Suicide Squad. Wait but this game was like years before the movie came out. Coincidence? I think not.
if u think about it the pit wouldnt get rid of the bullet thats in her it would close her wound thats it but also she will heal but it would close the bullet in her skin and she would get led poisoning and then die so she would die any way
I think it’s awesome at the end of the game after all the years battling joker, and all the things he’s done Batman still respected him and carried him through the city
Talia's body disappeared during the final boss fight with Clayface, I assume one of the assassins retrieved her corpse, I'm not all that worried about her, a quick soak in a Lazarus Pit, and everything will be back to normal.
The joker is sooooo awesome!!!! I also felt really bad for Harley, though. Joker was her everything, and batman took him away from her. Incredibly selfish of him. I was really shocked, too. Batman isn't supposed to kill.
I reckon if anyone is going to make a crossover superhero game it should be these guys, I believe they'll be the only ones to pull it off because the Arkham games were just perfect
The3DLord They should make the following (My opinion) The flash The matrix Green arrow Nightwing (just nightwing) X-men Green lantern Super man Basically the best DC superheroes
Had something interesting happen playing this game the other day. Before upgrading from my trusty Xbox360 to PS4 Pro I decided to play the earlier console version of the game for a bit, one last time. So I went to fight in one of the levels where there's a Titan against Batman. During the last round, I had the Titan be the last opponent, I beat it and the game started playing the animation where Batman drives its face into the ground. It happened in one of the corners where there was some random Joker crap and the Titan ended up doing the funniest rag doll thing where it bent its elbow and only its hand started glitching like it was waving goodbye, saying "thanks for coming to play with us these past years".
I can't answer about Spider-man 2 just yet as I'm still playing it (how in the world do people beat these games so fast lol) but for me, I have Arkham Knight rated very slightly above City, mostly because of the improvements in combat and open world stuff. If it wasn't for the overuse of the tank sections, it might have been one of my top 3 games of all time. Really polished experience, with a great story, visuals and gameplay that feels fantastic to play. As it is, Knight is my #8 and City is my #9, so they're still really close to each other.
If you mean top 10 games of all time, now that I've finished Spider-man 2, here: 1. The Last of Us 2. Marvel's Spider-man 2 3. God of War: Ragnarok 4. God of War 2018 5. Uncharted 4 6. The Last of Us: Part II 7. Uncharted 2 8. Horizon: Forbidden West 9. Arkham Knight 10. Arkham City

Rash al Gul: "You will kill me detective, because if you don't I will kill the only person you love."
Me: cough cough what about Catwoman?
Ra's al Ghul
Red Master plus Talia shouldn't have been pissed. She wanted her dad dead, so why was she shocked that he was willing to kill her?
Red Master I was thinking the same thing about Wonder Woman lol
In the Arkhamverse he and catwoman had nothing special, she didn't even know his identity before arkham knight
Javier Lopez if you do the Riddler mission in New game plus before the identity reveal she still calls him Bruce in the end
2:45:38 that's how I always thought Joker would die, smiling.
This has been my all time favorite game ever since it came out, it has a story like no other, not to mention that the story is incredible, the gameplay is smooth and you feel like you are really Batman. Overall amazing game.
Man, Mr. Freeze sure perfected the Ice Bucket Challenge.
I like how when deadshot showed up, Will Smith's popped up in the right, and he played as Deadshot in Suicide Squad.
Wait but this game was like years before the movie came out.
Coincidence? I think not.
That first bit with Dent and Catwoman was the campiest thing i have ever seen.
So glad I got to meet and take a picture with Kevin Conroy at my first ever con back in October 2018
Bruce Wayne looks like Sterling Archer.
bitch every video game makes him look like sterling archer. #telltaleseries
You mean sterling archer looks like batman
They modeled archer after him
Batman: Oracle Oracle!! Oracle!!!!!!
Oracle: what???
Batman: Danger Zone
I kept thinking at the end "The pit could save Talia" but nooooo, Batman's gotta walk moodily off! Feh
@Rossi ikr
The pits destroyed batman would have brought talia back if it wasn't
Christian Rossi
I know, like 10 minutes before that he was talking about how Ra's needs a trip to the Lazarus Pit
He destroyed it lol
if u think about it the pit wouldnt get rid of the bullet thats in her it would close her wound thats it but also she will heal but it would close the bullet in her skin and she would get led poisoning and then die so she would die any way
17:08 seemed so dramatic😂 doing backflips I though he would get kicked or something, anything but that one punch🤣🤣
The way she just collapsed and was like “ OW!”
2:45:40 In the words of Jack Nicholson: "If you're going to go, go with a smile!"
Damn, I miss Arkham games....
I think it’s awesome at the end of the game after all the years battling joker, and all the things he’s done Batman still respected him and carried him through the city
Solomon Grundy was always an underrated character I always thought, hes awesome, kinda like a zombie hulk.
Saurabh Kanhere marvel hater? I love both
"enjoy the copsicle" -penguin
best line in everything
This would be better than any movie they make now if they would turn this in a feature film
Talia's body disappeared during the final boss fight with Clayface, I assume one of the assassins retrieved her corpse, I'm not all that worried about her, a quick soak in a Lazarus Pit, and everything will be back to normal.
TPDManiacXC626 I hope so, I really liked that bitch.
And I'm certain the Great One will arise as well.
Am I the only one that is legitimately SAD about Joker's death? :'(
I was close to tears. He's my favourite character overall in anything.
The joker is sooooo awesome!!!! I also felt really bad for Harley, though. Joker was her everything, and batman took him away from her. Incredibly selfish of him. I was really shocked, too. Batman isn't supposed to kill.
Batman didn't kill Joker, Joker killed himself..
no he didn't. he refused to give him the cure, and so he died.
Uh no, Joker made Batman break the vile. Batman would have given it to him otherwise.
The ending of this game gave me the most chills than any of the other games
LMFAO 17:05 that hit to Harley Quinn, and I thought she was going to do something stupid XD
still better than Christian Bale and The Dark Knight trilogy...I mean seriously it's Arkham City and Kevin Conroy
Am seeing this because I play this with Xbox 360 good memories 🙂
"We're going down! We're going down!"
*says as they go up*
I don't play video games but love batman. Thanks for making this.
I reckon if anyone is going to make a crossover superhero game it should be these guys, I believe they'll be the only ones to pull it off because the Arkham games were just perfect
When batman saved catwoman at the start when he said “It was joker” he sounded like he wanted some sex or a kiss or it was a normal hated voice crack.
Wow bcz he knos joker is insane n is nervos ppl will die bcz he is here
The team that made these games should make a Matrix game in the same style
Haha! Shit that would be awesome!
The3DLord
They should make the following (My opinion)
The flash
The matrix
Green arrow
Nightwing (just nightwing)
X-men
Green lantern
Super man
Basically the best DC superheroes
This must've taken alot of work!! Very impressed.
I love batman so much
Mark Hamill really nailed it voicing The Joker.
Love how mr freeze n batman are cool than they have a crazy brawl than back to being cool with each other again lol
Andy I love how in 17:06 how you just punched her I was dying
This brought back soooo many memories omg thanks
Wow, even after Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, this still remains to be the greatest superhero game ever!
@@AndyGilleand yo what’s your top 10
If you mean top 10 games of all time, now that I've finished Spider-man 2, here:
1. The Last of Us
2. Marvel's Spider-man 2
3. God of War: Ragnarok
4. God of War 2018
5. Uncharted 4
6. The Last of Us: Part II
7. Uncharted 2
8. Horizon: Forbidden West
9. Arkham Knight
10. Arkham City
the dynamic between Strange and Ghul is somewhat reminiscent with Gotham
This truly is the greatest comic book video game adaptation ever made!!!
Ra’s: I will kill the only person you ever loved.
Selina: Am I a joke to you?
Bridget Mallon Alfred: I am I joke to you?
The complete Batfamily: Are we a joke to you?
@@thespiritofjonathanjoestar6805 batman fans: are we a joke to you?
