    Hi Brendon, as promised in a previous post on one of your other Ketone video’s I’d tell you how I got on with TACTICAL DeltaG. My bread & butter cycling is Zwift races, short, extremely hard , extreme heart rates etc etc you know how it goes 🥵🥵, anyway, as directed by DeltaG I took half a bottle 20 mins before my warm up and race, and absolutely nothing happened 🤷‍♂️!!!!, but this is not the end of the story and I also realised I wasn’t using it in its best scenario so I wasn’t too perturbed by this result, but ! when I took the remainder of the bottle post race I really noticed the difference, instead of feeling totally wrecked until the morning , staring into space and being generally useless around the house I was very alert and felt good, it was very very noticeable. Having watched your interview with the DeltaG guy 3 times I picked up on the fact that the TDF riders are all using it for recovery and I can certainly see why, the following morning I supplemented my coffee with 5mg and felt very sharp. In conclusion my protocol will be 15mg post Zwift races, full bottle prior to long ride another bottle at the midway point……. if they lowered the price I’d feel a bit happier though 😅

      great feedback Wayne! One tweak that might work; take half a bottle before the long ride, then re-up with half bottle doses. Compare that versus the less frequent Full Bottle doses....just another way to see how it works for you!!
      thanks for following up!

    Why don't they do a double blind study and see if these really work?

    • @EVOQBIKE
      @EVOQBIKE  Рік тому +2

      who is they? Delta G? I'll ask. What study would you be referring to specifically, like efficacy on.....thanks Matt!

    • @Mattbriggs85
      @Mattbriggs85 Рік тому

      @EVOQBIKE Yes to test for efficacy and such. Then, they should do an updated comparison study on other forms of ketones vs. DeltaG. I don't know where I read. The military dropped using ketones for performance aid for SOF. Unless the Army has found better options/alternatives, why drop such an effective product.

      checked with Delta G and they said the Army has definitely NOT dropped the product

      @@EVOQBIKE Fair enough. Also can product be mixed with caffeine. This might be a good combo.

      yessir, that's the rocket fuel combo!!!

    Obviously cost is a huge part, but is there a “best” session to use the deltaG mega-dose for, in terms of the angiogenesis/epo benefits? I’m kinda hoping you don’t say every session…

    • @EVOQBIKE
      @EVOQBIKE  Рік тому +1

      from what it sounds like, it needs to be pretty consistent...so if this isn't feasible, I'd focus my usage on big training rides and races!

      @@EVOQBIKE fair comment, he made it sound like the deeper into ketosis (within reason) the more the benefit, so ye, big sessions it is! Cheers

    • @EVOQBIKE
      @EVOQBIKE  Рік тому

      so I think deeper the ketosis the better for recovery, making sure you're over the mmoL thresholds he described, but that can get very $$$

    so is it optimal to take this at night or right before a race/session?

    • @EVOQBIKE
      @EVOQBIKE  Рік тому

      both are great use cases. I lean towards 5g in the AM to start the day, and then for big training sessions I use half bottle doses at hour 2 and 4, and for racing I use about 2-3 bottles (usually half bottle doses every 90m if possible) have you seen this blog I wrote? www.evoq.bike/blog/ketones-and-endurance-sports-performance

    I appreciate the insights, however looking at the performance of Tour riders is not really a great example to point out potential efficacy of any product--not just ketones. Whether you guys actually buy into the cleanliness of the sport, or are just unwilling to outwardly discuss--I know from first hand experience in working with many athletes from semi-pro onward...most everyone is on gear..a lot of gear. Low dose testosterone, various peptides, various AAS outside of just test, albuterol, clenbuterol, T3, corticosteroids, EPO, RBC infusions, a host of stimulants ranging from amphetamine to ephedrine, yohimbine. Anything you derive from the performance results of pro level riders is going to be wildly compounded by the high degree of PED usage which is absolutely 100% RAMPANT. There are very few clean riders at the high level of the sport. You can believe what you want, it means nothing. But, there are very few. So, to highlight that he or she used exogenous ketones during the x, y, z recent event/race/stage/tour...and look at how well they did...it's not a fair example.
    It's like me pointing out that Ilya Ilyin PR'd his clean and jerk at the last olympics he competed in because of the protein powder he was taking during his training camp. It certainly wasn't the handful of anadrols, 500mg of testosterone, peptides, and who knows what else he got popped for eventually.

      I do talk about products that I use and find extremely effective; if that rubs you the wrong way, do not watch any product based video. Good luck with the training
