Some people have posted that they didn’t have to remove the entire light assembly, which is possible if you’re replacement bulb isn’t too big/long. I went with the LasFit 7440NA bulbs which required me remove the light assembly. There was not enough slack in the wire harness on my 2018 SR5 once you put in the LasFit bulbs to make the turn back into the light assembly. Once removed, it’s a straight shot in. Especially if you install the bulb and it doesn’t work and you have to flip the bulb. Light assembly is finicky to get out with a couple of light palm slaps and reward pressure, but with a little patience it comes out as described in his video. Goes back in with no issues. Thanks for the video! Nice and helpful!
Great video, thank you! I would have never changed my bulbs if I didn’t see your videos! I also watched your video for front signal bulb replacement. I just replaced the rear turn signal bulbs of my 2024 Toyota 4Runner Limited with Auxito LED bulbs (AUXITO CANBUS 7440 LED Bulbs Amber Yellow 4000 Lumens for Turn Signal Lights with Built-in Resistor Anti Hyper Flash 7440NA T20 7441 W21W WY21W Blinker Bulb Replacement). They work great with no errors. No resistors are also required. I ordered Auxito bulbs since they are the “shortest" LED bulb in the market and do have a fan and metal body for good heat dissipation (to avoid hyper flashing once they heat up as a result of long operation). I thought I can install them through the rear access door within the car without removal of the whole tail gate light unit! Well, I was wrong! I was not able to install Auxito LED bulbs through the access door. I had to remove the whole tail gate light unit as you have illustrated in your video. Cheers
Thank you for all of the great content that you are pushing out for us all! I’m a new 4Runner owner and am loving all of the fun mods that are available and I’ve learned a ton from your videos.
My dad has an 20019 Toyota 4runner that has been doing weird things like thr back blinker lights have started flashing and no one is inside the truck I'd managed to get an video of it help
i installed these Lastfit led lights on my 2019 4Runner but it does not work for the turn signals, only works for hazards. Tried switching 180 and opposite side but no luck. Front turns work fine, any suggestions????
Swapped my entire housing for a different taillight. Was a pain in the butt trying to get my driver side off. Prob 10-15 minutes just working it off. Surprised I didn't break it
So I installed these in my ‘18, and the hazards work fine, but the turn signals hyperflash. Was told by Lasfit running front and rears can be problematic. Was thinking of returning these, but also read something about an updated LED relay?
@@blackfw190D YEAH, you can replace the bulbs with out removing the the whole brake light. You got to tug on the wire a little to get enough slack to fit the bulb in.
I assume you mean the fixture. Just keep working it straight back with no twisting and don't be afraid to pull hard. You could try hitting the side of the fixture before pulling to lossen it up. It is a little tricky but you'll get it!
I fell sorry for the person behind you when you turn on that blinker, Especially at night,, Thats hearting my eyes just trying to watch it on video.. I had to stop the video,, Why do thank you need your blinker that intense,, Turn off your garage light and set behind it for 2 minints and see if its not bothering your eyes,,

I just did this exact swap on my 2019. There is absolutely no need to take the entire housing off. It’s very easy to do with it still installed.
I was gona say the same,. No need for removal.
Do you have the link to the rear singals?
You can change the bulb without taking the light of the vehicle. Just remove the panel and reach in.
I was thinking the same thing.

both light bulbs can replace without remove whole assemply
Do you have a recommendation for LED daytime running lights that don’t flicker or shake?
I did mine in a 21’ limited and if you pull a little slack you can swap them without removing the light
All your videos are awesome. Thank you so much. They are definitely appreciated. 🙏🤘

Is it me or is it that the rear led blinkers and out of sequence? its seems like tis flashing fast and slow at random times.
Thanks for the video. Did you change your interior bulbs, if so what bulbs did you use?
What did you use for your license plate bulbs?
Do you need to remove the whole housing to just replace the turn signal bulbs??? look liek you can just reach up and twist it out, no ?
Just changed them myself without removal of housing

A lot of people on Amazon are saying these overheat in warm weather and start hyper-flashing after blinking for 30-60 sec. Has that happened to you?
I haven't had any issues since install but our whether isn't super hot so perhaps its more of an issue in southern climates?
My LH hyper flashes

Sorry to hear that. I run front and rear with no hyperflash
Don’t use hazards just use either right or left they will hyper
Don't need to remove light unit to replace reverse light on 2021 4runner. 10 minute job....I did it.
Great video👏🏼👏🏼
The bulbs could NOT be replaced with the light assembly mounted ?
It really needs to be removed, it looks accessible ?
Correct, you will have to remove the assembly to replace the bulbs. If it were possible to do without removing I would have!
@@DrivenCompanion that is wrong. You just added an extra unnecessary step. Why did you take the assembly off instead of just unplugging the lights?
You can just replace the light bulb with LED without removing the whole tail light right?
No, fixture needs to be removed to replace the bulb
@@DrivenCompanion I replaced mine with LED today, didn't need to take out the whole light. Just open the cover, swap out the bulb and that's it!

Are the actual break light bulbs replaceable
Not certain what you mean by that.. The bulbs insert into the fixture so yes they are replaceable.
@@DrivenCompanion He's asking if the brake lights are replaceable. No, they're not.
Do you have the part number for the rear turn signals? or link?
Links are in the descriptions. Here is the link for the turn signals: amzn.to/3106SCH
No hyper flash?
Nope
They actually do after a min or two. The problem with these build in resister LED builds is that they get hot. LASfit calls it a protection feature.
Purchased these for a 2018 Toyota 4Runner. They did not work, they hyper flashed. Got no help from Lasfit
Having a hard time getting my housing off.

It’s gonna look much brighter in a camera.
Plus when you want to turn they actually let you pass but with the oem bulbs they won't let you pass
Fell??
Yep, blind others for the sake of themselves, sounds about right
