The soundtracks to all of these movies are LIT. New Moon’s soundtrack is one of my all time favorite albums and this movie’s soundtrack is damn freakin awesome too. It’s up there too as a solid favorite. I own the vinyl releases of the first three movie soundtracks and I’m honestly bummed the last two movie soundtracks weren’t released on vinyl too.. lol yeah cause there aren’t worse problems then an album not being on vinyl 😂
twilight is one of those movies where every time I watch it, I vacillate between recognizing it as a really innovative cult classic or being shocked at how truly awful it is. It takes a ton of really great risks (the casting of someone as painfully awkward as kristen to play the love interest, and someone as funny as anna kendrick to play the vapid popular girl, the color grading, the soundtrack, the darker/serious tone), but it's also a very strange, awkward little film that literally makes no sense and romanticizes toxic relationships.
Kirsten is actually like a great like person and she honestly played bella pretty well, bella was meant to be someone that was just reacting to the situation. But kirsten is a good actor fr this role didn’t do her any favors tho.
I knew nothing of the books when I first watched and I remember just waiting for the plot to start.

This can be easily attributed to the fact that Bella had a horrible childhood: Her parents divorced when she was a child and had to live with her mother Reneé, who was more concerned about living the high life rather than actually caring about her daughter. Bella spent her life being invisible and being taught that her needs didn't matter, as she had to practically raise herself and her mother and had no friends to speak of in Phoenix.
With an absent father and neglectful mother, it's easy to see why she would behave that way.

the reason why she acted so emotionless like she doesn’t have personality is because that was how she was told to act. she even said it that when she saw her script she was like ‘wtf is this’. Kristen is a good actress, it’s just the script and how she was directed to act it that made the role stupid and weird.
