  • I went to the yogurt aisle at the grocery store to tell you what types of yogurt to buy, and which ones to avoid. All of the info is down below. There are so many yogurt options at the grocery store, many of which are loaded with added sugar and have very little health benefits. I would highly recommend only buying organic, 100% grass-fed greek style yogurt. What aisle of the grocery store next??? Let us know! Mad Love..Bobby...Dessi...Art...and Baby Flav XOXO
Order our new keto cookbook: amzn.to/2TOHWJL
Why I recommend buying Organic, 100% grass-fed greek yogurt:
Grass-fed means the cows never ate any grains, especially gmo corn and soy. This makes the nutrition way higher than convectional dairy. Organic yogurt has 62% more omega 3 fatty acids than traditional yogurt, bc corn and soy inhibit omega 3 productions. And promote omega 6..the bad one. This is even higher in 100% grass-fed yogurt. Grass fed yogurt is up to five times higher in conjugated linoleic acid than that from cows fed grains year-round.
Greek yogurt has twice the amount of protein from regular yogurt, bc it’s strained. It’s more expensive bc it takes 4 cups of milk to make 1 cup of Greek yogurt..as opposed to 1:1..Higher is protein and lower in sugar, bc the some of lactose is strained away. It makes you feel fuller for longer, bc of the combo of fat and protein..stay away from low/no fat yogurt
My fav brands of organic yogurt:
Stonyfeld organic 100% grass-fed Greek yogurt
Organic valley 100% grass-fed plain yogurt
Nancy’s probiotic 100% grassfed whole milk yogurt
    My fav non-dairy yogurt:
    Forager cashew yogurt
    Kite hill almond milk yogurt
    My fav organic kefir:
Maple hill organic whole milk kefir, 100% grass-fed
Red wood hill farm goat kefir, 100% grass-fed

I used to get sick when I ate traditional, non-organic yogurt. I thought I was allergic to dairy, but when I switched over to organic yogurt (using Aldi's non-sweetened brand) I noticed I didn't get sick to my stomach. I stopped using non-organic yogurt after that. I think the GMO corn/etc; does affect people in ways they don't even know yet.

Bobby I love your content on UA-cam and Instagram. I can’t wait to cook from your cook book. Say hi to Dessy from another Bulgarian :). I'm sure she can tell you that in Bulgaria you can have the best yogurt in the world. Here is my suggestion: If you want quality yogurt full of probiotics and no sugar, then make it yourself. I stopped buying yogurt 7 years ago and that was my best decision ever. I use a $20 yogurt maker and I purchase yogurt cultures online. You have to be careful when you buy yogurt cultures because some brands contain sugar too. I buy only organic and grass-fed milk to make my yogurt. It is very easy and much cheeper to do it yourself. I grew up eating homemade yogurt and I can't find a store brand that can compare to that taste.

@@BobbyParrish two weeks or so ago (not too long after your eggs video). I was in the Kroger grocery in the dairy section. There was a lady and her daughter looking obviously boggled over the tons of egg brands and types. So I asked them if they were trying to decide which eggs to buy? They laughed and said yes. I asked if they would like a suggestion. Guess what, Kroger had Vital Farms for $4.99. I pointed them out to her. She asked me why. I explained to her and told her that $4.99 was a great price too. Thank you Bobby for giving me the knowledgeable to help myself, and others be smarter consumers. You're making many parts of my shopping routine less stressful. AND I walk away from my shopping trip feeling so much more condident about the choices I'm making for my family. Muchas Gracias my Friend!

I make my own! It’s so easy in the Instant Pot. I use organic whole grass fed milk. I use a Greek yogurt strainer and it comes out beautifully thick and delicious every time! I pay 4.99 for a half gallon, so it’s cost effective.

Yes. I won a cast iron skillet in a contest, but after the first time I used it, it started turning brown with rust. I thought this must not be healthy, so I tossed it. Sad. Would love to know what to look for in cooking wear as well.

Bobby, kefir can be put through a cheesecloth then the whey will drain out. You can then use it as a cream cheese, which is really good.

Oh great! I’ve been buying Fage plain yogurt for several years, thinking it was healthful. I eat 14 ounces every day, which is 2 8 ounce containers. I also buy Siggi, vanilla and cinnamon vanilla. Even though, I buy a lot of organic food and pasture raised eggs and milk, I thought these were good choices for yogurt. Unfortunately, I just went grocery shopping and stocked up on both of those. No more, from now on I’ll buy organic. I used to buy organic yogurt too.

Fage makes awesome yoghurt and it has the right consistency. The Greek "style" yoghurts often they have nothing in common with original. And the best of the best of Greek yoghurts is the traditional one made of sheep milk and sold in clay pots. Absolutely amazing!!!
