Bro, I hate it when UA-camrs all say “these look awesome” or “wow, those look perfect” or “those are looking just how I like them” and then they have uneven color or they have dark patches and light patches and they don’t look good…with that being said, your ribs actually looked amazing! The color was even and they were both a nice mahogany! Keep up the great work and smoke on, brother!

Thanks for the kind words buddy! Yeah I try to keep it as real as possible on my channel, so if something doesn’t turn out the way I want I’ll be the first to call it out in my videos

Thanks! Yeah they were delicious. Would definitely recommend the garlic jalapeño rub. That was the first time I got to use that one

Baby backs are huge up here in 🇨🇦, but I've always stuck with spare ribs and just trimmed them up. But after seeing how yours turned out, am going to give them a shot on my direct heat smoker.

See I’m the same way because I like doing spare ribs a lot better than baby backs. But I do like to switch it up every once in a while. I will say the baby backs don’t have as much room for error because they are so much leaner, but if you cook them right they are really good!

Dude, you are a rib artist. Question for you. Sometimes I score the membrane on spares instead of pulling. Would you ever recommend doing so with baby backs? Great video!

Thank you!! So I’ve never done it before but I have seen it. Usually the baby back membranes are so easy to pull I just take them off. I like to pull them to get that full amount of smoke coming up through the rack, and the membrane hinders that. But hey, try it out and let me know how it goes! Thanks for watching!!
