I was not ready for day 6 🤣🤣🤣 thanks for sharing! The scarf technique makes sense for tight coils, especially short one. The usual pineapple technique work for women who need to create more volume on top of their head, usually women with looser curl pattern and longer hair. Tighly coiled hair defies gravity naturally so there is no need to put it up. Just like you showed us in your video, this is it's destiny 😂
4c goodness! Im so excited for babygirl's first hairstyle. I tied mine up in sections with scruchies. Ill try the tie down method. Loving the wash n go.
I usually start losing moisture at day 3 and I wash at 3 to 4 days, rarely longer. I have sweaty workouts 4 days a week and I sweat at night. Great video, thank you.
I find the flatter my hair to my head...the better the longevity. I use a Buff to keep my hair covered at bedtime. I'm a wash and go girl through and through. Love your hair!
I truly appreciate your videos. I started my curly hair journey in March 2023. Your videos has truly helped me embrace my hair and love my coils! Thank you so much
This looked so fun, stylish, and thiccc! Thank you for sharing your experience with it over the course of the week; it's so nice to see the different stages of the style and how you embrace each equally:)
Shower steam or spritzing your wash and go wakes it up and reactivates the gel. I just wear a bonnet at night. I might tie my edges. I add moisture after day 2 or 3. Spray bottle with conditioner and oil mix does the trick. I get a good week out of my wash and go. I can do a poof and stretch it to 2 weeks if things are really hectic. Great video. Your hair is beautiful.
I have TWA now and I wash every 4 days. I learned that hard that I was letting dry out for long time before I would hydrate it again. My hair is now much much softer. Hopefully, I can keep this up as it grows. Also, I loved day 5 hair!
Your wash and go is so defined! You rock the short style so well! Jenn, we have seen you with long hair so you have nothing to prove regarding being able to grow your hair!
I recently loc’d my hair and when I was a loose natural I was RELIGIOUS about a wash every week. That’s really how you keep the flakes away and stay moisturized 🤷🏾♀️But locs are such a new territory for me I wanna wash often but idk if there is loc laws😂
There are loc laws💛. I wore them for 3 decade. I recently cut them. But moisturizing them is the key to success(lightly spritz with water with aloe between washes you can also add a few drops of essential oil for fragrance). Stay away from waxy and alcohol products. Enjoy your journey !
Listen! thank you for this video because i have been looking for how to preserve a wash n go with this length of hair and would only be seeing the pineapple method and I'm like i cant do that lol thank goodness i found you❤
Love love love your hair cut. The curls are popping and it’s just beautiful. I’m going to try the tying down method. Me too, love care free lived in hair.
Jenn I absolutely love your channel and I am so grateful I stumbled across your IG page while looking at a detangling brush! Anyway as soon as I saw your hair I knew you were my girl and you gave me that last push to do the big chop for the first time…and that was just 1.5 weeks ago. Still learning what to do and to love my hair, but I’m in it for the long haul!
Im OBSESSED with wash n go's rn!! Ever since last month when i found products that define my curls, wash n go's are now my go to!! Plus im trying to "curl train" my hair. Im trying out different techniques each time to find the perfect one for me. Im a combo of 4b and 4c and luv'n it! ❤
@@JennJackson I use either black castor w/ avocado oil eco styler, or the xtreme gel. I do find the xtreme to make my hair crunchy, but has amazing hold while the eco only defines for 3 days then I have to refresh. INNERSENSE is good too, but is WAYYYY too expensive for me
I preserve my WnG pretty much the same way except I use either a loc soc or a pocket bonnet. I used to shampoo every 5days because I noticed moisture loss on day 4. Now due to having CCCA, I shampoo every 3 - 4 days. It's a good thing that I actually enjoy shampooing and resetting my hair. Hey, quit picking on us long-haired girlies with that "overrated" stuff.🤣🤣
We have the same type hair but maybe mine is thicker because when ever I try a wash and go, the shrinkage is so tight, I have no movement at all. I always have to do a twistout.
I wish more 4Cs wore wash n gos. Looks so pretty to me!

My wash and go kinda looks like yours. I keep on seeing wash and gos on longer hair, and not really short. thanks for the representation ❤
You are so welcome!
Your hair looked great each day. A good cut makes all the difference.
4c goodness! Im so excited for babygirl's first hairstyle. I tied mine up in sections with scruchies. Ill try the tie down method. Loving the wash n go.
Me too! My hair stylist taught me how to use scrunches. I'm going to try a silk scarf as well. 😉
I know that this has nothing to do with tour hair, but I just found an article about my great grandmother who was a mid wife. she was born in 1859.
What is the title of the article, I would like to read.😊
This so cool 😍

It really is!

Agreed! I can get 7 days out of mine
I am here for the 4C goodness wash and go. Your hair still looked good after day 7. 😍
I thoroughly enjoyed this! Beautiful curls & coils! I'm inspired to use the scarf the same way. Day 6😂
I hope it works out for you!
Your shape makes me wanna go shorter again 🥰. I was an every 4 day washer and sorta slowed down a bit but still in the 4-7 timeline
So happy for you as a new mom.
The way Jenn and I are in sync. I needed this video.
I’m here for you girl lol

Gorgeous Jenn! I think I will try the tie down method instead of using my bonnet!❤

LMAOOO You got me! We love long hair :)
Great video! It helps me to see how it would look thru out the week with type 4 hair.
Glad it was helpful!
Jen... loved day 5 the most. Is it because of that 4cgoodness!?!
Sure is 😌
Loved this ❤
Thank you for watching x
Beautiful hair. I wear a bonnet at night, wash and go lasts for 7 days.
Nice
Bro your hair is so damn beautiful, motivates me to cut mine ❤
Really enjoyed 😊😊😊

Love your video ❤
My scalp just gave me such a side-eye... the guilt 😒😔. I'm on day 13... washing 2moro for sure.
Lmao my lips are sealed 🙈
Who else knows for a fact that Jen did not wash her hair the next day 🙋🏽♀️
Lmao 🙈🙈🙈
😂❤
😂
I feel like there are some white residue, in your wash and go!! Am I seeing right? This is one of the reasons why I stopped doing them
Oki! Confirmed
Where did you get your scarf?
Great content
hey 🥰 how do i grow my hair as thick as yours and what products do you use ?
Washing every 4 days? I'm still trying to get to a consistent weekly wash! 🤭
That will never be me lol
Idk 🤷♀️ but what’s wrong w/ a Fro? I’m lost in that statement.
hmm I never said anything was wrong with them. I welcome a good fro
me every 4 days
