This helped me so much my maths teacher is so useless he just gives u homework and expects you to do it and he doesn’t even teach me how to solve it. thank you🙏🏻
Thank you! I'm trying to help my son cram for his upcoming 7th grade tests here in FL, and had been searching here for a video that would help me help him. (You know how you get a mental block over some things? Well one of mine is factorizing expressions!) I saw something about you on Facebook, so I thought I would check your playlists. This was really useful, and I've bookmarked some of your other vids too. I'm so thankful to have found so many great teachers sharing lessons on here, as it is way too many years since I learned this stuff (and I struggled with it). Congratulations on your newly found stardom! You deserve it so much for being so inspirational to your kids (and to us older folks...). ;-)
Oh, wait, maybe I’m seeing it now: 8x(9+6x) can be further factored (reduced?) by 3 to give 24x(3+2x). Ok, that makes sense. So you can basically take any route you want-or happen to “see”-and then continue on until there is no more common factor, right? Very cool! This is great stuff!
It's so sad that he's such a great maths teacher and he's taking so much effort to explain everything but the students are talking and not paying attention
That is *a* factorisation of the question, but since 9 and 6x are both divisible by 3, you can actually go a step further to factorise out the 3 from the (9 + 6x), giving you 8x*3(3 + 2x), which equals 24x(3 + 2x). Generally when asked to factorise, you try and factorise the question as much as possible (but not making any fractions if you can avoid it). So your answer has factorised it, but you can go further, which will generally be the expected answer.
i literally wrote the answer of the last example without even knowing that i got it right the reason why i thought it was correct bc i though i was still supposed to factorise 24 so i was confused on how to do that and a bunch of whole other stuff i did that i dont feel like explaining hehe
Mr. Woo, I saw the video about your children’s allergies and other conditions that are negatively affecting their and your family life. In the US we have a doctor (who is being mocked and laughed at) who wrote books and has proven many years ago that many allergies along with hundreds of diseases, are caused by deficiencies of certain vitamins. The doctor’s name is Joel Wallach. Watch his UA-cam videos, informative. I have personally met someone who has been taking the vitamin and mineral formulas that not only managed but with consistent supplementation, eradicated serious conditions; in his case arthritis. I encourage you to listen to his lectures; you will not regret the time you will spend on doing so. Thanks for respecting the kids you are teaching; you have already made an enormous difference in many people’s lives that you don’t even realize.

I needed that one. School has always been such a mind fuck for me. Not the learning part but the tests.

A little help please (as I try to teach myself factoring): Why would the factor for 72x+48x^2 not be 8x(9+6x)?

Search forgot to take the extra 48 in the example for the question 72 X + 48 x square.
