@@Moosh611pt2to much for him, he needs a editor that can just take bulk footage and make videos. He don’t have time to do it all I bet. If he just had to push record and then send files over it’d be different but as far as I know it’s just him. Maybe his wife too on the UA-cam side.
I love your humor and to anyone saying you're not a crabber because you use a wheel, tell them to write there comments on parchment paper with a quill pen and send it via horseback. Real crabbers adapt with the times.
My grandfather always said "Spend money on good tools and save time on doing the job." Good advice. A good quality tool makes doing a nasty job just a little easier. Love your video's keep up the hard work.
Luke, you are a dieing breed. Everyone wants thing given to them. You sir are from a school of hard knocks. I enjoy watching all your videos and just working on things. You figure it out. God Bless you and stay safe. Love from Delaware
Luke I love anything you do but I can never get past your videos every time I jump on UA-cam to watch something else!! I’m hooked on your adventures and content sir! Keep it up buddy! 😮😂😂❤
Love you DIYs to save money. The acronym for BOAT is so true. This is why people should not complain about the price of crabs. The expenses for operating never end. Nice surprise for Lindsay. Now you need one for yourself. I'm a boat owner and eventually bought a kayak for fishing. Now I have now I own 6 of them.
Always remember. No matter how aggravating that was at least you're doing all that work for yourself on your boat. Not doing all that work for someone else
Great ending! I do that to my honey-do list too. Add everything I’m asked to do in between stopping me from the actual task at hand. Makes me feel better being able to mark things off the list, even though they weren’t there to begin with.
LOVE this series.🔥🔥🔥 Idk what it is about boat restoration videos but I’m a sucker for them. Maybe it’s bc I want to restore a boat someday. I guess I’m just a city boy with rural dreams lol
For the longest time, I never knew what to say when someone asked me what I wanted for Birthday, Christmas, …. Then I bought an old house, several used cars, and a few used road bikes. Amazon wish list is now flush with tools, parts, and stuff that my loved ones just don’t understand. Having the right tool for the job can turn a frustrating task in pleasant escape! Love the intimate comment, so true!
My rule is to get good tools for anything you'll use more than a few times or anything that can kill me if it fails. Anything I will use seldomly or need to modify, I get the cheapest one that will work. Good tools can be mid tier stuff if it fits the needs. Like I have the harbor freight air impact gun. It's not the best, no where near the cheapest, but has a good rating, and not crazy price. I have the harbor freight snap on copy Jack. That's more expensive, and getting close to tool truck quality, but it's my most used tool probably. Lincoln mig welder, over harbor freight because I want something that will last, I'm just not sure of harbor freight mig welder quality (but I did get this nos for a good price). I have some cheap wrenches and sockets that were used to modify (thank you Chrysler), and a good amount of cheap stuff that I barely use. Hand tools are great to try to find used, you can get quality old stuff for a good price.
@@arthurr8670 I’ve found eBay is a great source for used/new sockets, wrenches, specialty tools. Many sellers will break down sets so I can get the exact thing I need from craftsman, snap-on, wera without spending a fortune. But Harbor Freight is a bargain for those rarely used items
I think exactly like you in regards to used stuff, don't have to pay depreciation, don't have to worry about messing it up, already has been tested for factory defects, can fix it yourself no silly guarantee voids
I can soooooo relate to your repairs. When I start, my wife calls me McGuyver. I tend to make or create the part or tool that I need. So you will be known henceforth as Luke McGuyver. Keep up the good work. Keep creating.
I'd love a boat tour. I dunno how well it would hold up but have you ever considered putting some sort of rubber grip mats down? Might save the paint a bit and be nice on the feet.
I think a boat tour would be pretty cool. Kinda curious how it's setup and how everything works (or doesn't work from what I've seen sometimes 🤣). Love your content man!
Wow love your channel been watching you for some time easy to say hard to do next time u get frustrated & throw your tools LOL say God or that higher power allowed you to wake this AM so I can't complain 👍🏾😉🙏🏾 I love your old boat keep it up & this UA-cam channel your day is coming soon where you'll have the money to get a new boat ⛵ one that you dreamed of if you stay positive 👍🏾 Norristown PA here don't stop 👏🏾🙏🏾
I like older, tried and true things too. My house is 50 years old, Both of my trucks are over 20 yrs old and paid for (2001 Durango and 2003 Dakota) and they still run well! Plus I'd rather not see myself chained to a payment to just get from point a to b. I choose to not keep up with the Joneses. You're in much less debt that way 💵 your channel is becoming part of my daily routine. It's like taking a mini vacation on the Chesapeake from my carport in Alabama. Keep up the good work brother. I usually end up doing something around here after watching you do something to the boat. I ended up changing the front wheel hubs totally unplanned the other day 😂 I had the parts here for a while then I was like well "McFadden would've had these hubs replaced months ago, WTF am I waiting on? " So I friggin got busy. I was done an hour later. Keep your chin up man, these small issues will sort themselves out. Keep your stress levels low, go kayaking with your girl and kick back. Thank you for showing the real side of what you do, I can appreciate more what you do seeing the struggle and your positivity for leaning forward and getting through the day. I wish you many years of happiness and success!
I don’t know how your channel was suggested to me a few months back, but I’ve got to say I’m enjoying it immensely and i ain’t no crabber😂 Keep up the great work Luke
I fish lobster up in the gulf of Saint Lawrence and im glad someone else has a aneurysm trying to work on boat's 😂, also thats the first time ive seen a wash down pump being driven off of the battery and not off of a accessory belt on the engine
I can really relate to the trials and tribulations trying to repair items on the boat. At 80 I can't bend like I used to and if I sit down, I need a plan to get up. Keep on Keepin on!!
Finally my wife can see the shit we deal with all day. Every guy on earth can relate to you content. Best videos ever. Just real shit that happens every day. Must be solution driven. Young man you are a real man.
Might have been a good idea to put a backing plate behind it. To give u a stronger bond. Even if only 2 strips or metal that only get to 2 of the 4 bolts each
Hey Luke just found your channel a few days ago. I love your videos and they're just so entertaining and fun. I can't understand why you get haters when you're just an honest guy doing honest work; I think it's stupid and boils down to narrow minded idiots. When I was in Scouts I did a special summer camp program called High Adventure Sailing based out of Rodney Scout reservation in Northeast on the Elk Neck peninsula at the top of the Bay; we sailed on small intercoastal sized (35-50ft) sailboats out of Havre de Grace and had anchorages in the Fairlee Creek, the Magothy River, and the Patapsco in the Inner Harbor. It gave me a great appreciation for what an amazing body of water the Chesapeake is and filled my heart with a love for the open water. And yes, also with the frustration of boat ownership as the first time I did this trip, our night at anchor in the Fairlee involved me and the only Scout with any engine work experience helping to fix a clutch issue with the Yan-mar diesel on the boat I was on lol. Really drove home what my high school biology teacher and avid sailor said about having a boat: "Owning a boat and traveling in it boils down to fixing it in a series of exotic ports." Anyhow, love the channel, love your content, Lindsey is a gem and a total keeper, good luck brother and ignore the haters. Fair winds and following seas.
I like the crimp-toss cos it shows that even the mellowest dude on the planet can only take so much crap before he says “F-K IT’ and throws the crap out the window….kinda like me…lol…Luke, you’re only 1 human, dude…I think all of us watching know (for real!) your aggravation….keep up the good work, man!
My 12" Channellocks get used more than any hand tool fer shur (plumbing, oil filter, electrical, anything).... those and an 11-in-1 klein screwdriver will get you out of any mess 😮😅
You see your anger is way better than mine because at 10:00 when stuff like that happens I’d start kicking shit a fucking other shit up even worse haha glad to see I’m not the only one who gets this pissed off with my craft
I am getting older but never will forget my Bay Baby and years of the best damn catching in the Mother Chesapeake!!! Keep yourself safe and respect the Momma!🩷✝️
I won't lie, this is one of my favorite channels to watch these days.
Mine too dude , it’s refreshing
Thank you for not lying
I live in Arizona, I have no need to repair boats, and there is zero crabbing here. Absolutely love these videos and watch every one!❤️

Correct, cheap tools offer cheap results.
Now I’m gonna have to order crabs so he can get buy the top shelf tools from Harbor Freight
@@clarkbrowning8473😂 same I catch crabs everyday and still wanna order some from him just to support the tool fund

You knew what you were doing with that stick welder loll dont lie
They sell slip bearings you might be able to slide on that lever and it has a set screw . Don't know if those might help the drag on the linkage
We stopped by your lot today around 1 ish you were not there- went to champs and ate- need to get some of those X-Large crabs
Liquid electrical tape will be your best friend over those shrink butt connectors

I’m curious what you are doing with the other boat and a boat tour. Also keep up the great work.
GITTERDUNNNNNNN! You're awesome Bro.
Within each and every hand tool lurks a hammer.
