Welcome from Vancouver British Columbia. Thank you Bryce, for this lovely video. We went to Poland, so many times, and always we had a good time. We went to Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, and Zakopane. Thanks
What a beautiful view. You had me laughing with your dislike of crowds and lines 😂👍. That was a spectacular park. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be when the leaves are back and the flowers are in full bloom 👍. Warsaw looks like a beautiful city 🇵🇱 Thanks for the tour
This chap at 13:00 is Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Very interesting person. Born in todays Ukraine, died in NYC. He was a pianist, toured around the globe. He's got a star in Hollywood Walk of Fame. He knew many politicans around the world including US president. Also he was one of the forfathers of Polish regaining insependence after ww I. He was polish foreign minister during that time.
Polish not polish. Lower case polish is pronounced differently and has a different meaning than Polish. Not to mention that using polish in place of Polish is disrecpectful. Cheers and good luck!
I was thinking that while there "I bet this place looks unbelievable in summer". Because it looked pretty amazing in early spring even. Fine place to take your date. 👌🏻
:-) thanks for uploading another interesting video - you did make me chuckle - I am with you about queues and too many people - but thanks for a chuckle - needed that today x
by the way you haven't seen all park, there is a bautifil building with the restaurant Belvedere and Chopin statue where are outdoor piano concerts during summer season
you should go to Lazienki on Sunday around 9am there will be no-one and you can enjoy it on your own, I used to live close to the park and every Sunday morning I would walk there
Great video. I visited Lazienki Park while on vacation from the USA in June of 2019. Very beautiful with everything in bloom. I know how you felt at the Palace of Culture. I hate waiting in lines also but you had a lovely lady with you. If it was just me I would have handed my tickets over to someone just arriving. Thanks for the video!! 😃
There are many places worth to see in Warsaw. For example: Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Wilanów Palace (Jan III Sobieski 's Palace, Siege of Vienna 1683), Warsaw Citadel, Modlin Fortress and of course Warsaw Uprising Museum 😌
"Warsaw Citadel, Modlin Fortress and of course Warsaw Uprising Museum 😌" I definitely recommend visiting those. Modlin Fortress is not in Warsaw (as the name suggests), so it might take some effort to get there - but if you can, it's a place to visit.
Łazienki Park without showing the squirrels that live there does not count. You have to come there in the summer when it's green and there are Chipin concerts at his monument, which you didn't show either.😁
I went to that park this past summer. Twice as many people but I know what you mean. You want to enjoy a serene environment and appreciate your time there. I stayed in Praga for 2 weeks and enjoyed the older neighborhood. Make sure you go to the Neon Museum and check out some of the murals on that side of town. Looks like you're back in CA, but I guess you will get back to Eastern Europe again. I'll be back next summer.
It's pronounced Waz-ee-enky. The L with a slash has the sound of the English W. Conversely, in Polish, the W has the sound of the English V. My last name in Polish starts with that funky L with a slash.
Repeat after me - wah wah wah :D That's the first syllable in Łazienki. I'm not sure how to explain to you the "zie" sound because it's not "zye" and it's not "zhe". You might have to look it up. What's the music you used in this video? Again, I am immensely impressed that you look up the names of the buildings, places, and landmarks you see. I've been to Łazienki hundreds of times and I wouldn't be able to tell you what some of those places are called. If you want a place with fewer people, go to Pole Mokotowskie, but it's not as interesting. It's just a large park. A place I would very much recommend especially if the weather is sunny is the boulevard along the Vistula (Wisła = Vees wah) river. If you do that, go to the rooftop garden on top of the Warsaw University library. Nice views from there too! Thank you so much for making this video! It's making me homesick, and it looks like a few new buildings have been built since I've been there in 2021, so I'll have to go back to the top and update my photos for my PKiN post.
Nothing like some Stalinist architecture to remind you of the soviet era. The park is beautiful. Great video Bryce. I appreciate it. Poland is be awesome. 🇺🇦 ❤ 🇺🇦

Bryce, check out Footbool-ultras Fans culture in Warsaw. Mention this cause its sth you probably won't see over the Pond. Legia Warsaw Fans are renowed for their attitude and hellish atmosfphere the bring to the stadium. ua-cam.com/video/NQLXbWZJjrM/v-deo.html If Iam not mistaken, there will be a game in Warsaw at Łazienkowskie 02.04 against Lechia Gdansk - another solid Ultras Firm from Gdańsk. It might be a great tip, although as far as I know, they play badly in this season. So I am afraid that the stadium might not be filled up completely. But still ...it might be worth risking.

Piłsudski defeated the Russians near Warsaw in 1920 when they attacked Poland

Oh absolutely, I'll be back soon. I can't stay away from Eastern Europe for too long or I'll lose my 3-Stripes
Well if you got this far away from centre then next stop should be ,,Pałac w Wilanowie,,

On September 17, 1939, they also attacked us and we got rid of them only in 1989.

Funny you say that, I had plans to go to that game 👌🏻
@@bryce.walker don't forget to take bodyguards with you, or at least a knife LOL
Don you like people ?
Sure, but I prefer less crowded places, I like to explore and discover in a more private way.
