The Warsaw Old Town is beautiful, but the old towns of Gdańsk, Toruń, Wrocław and Kraków are more beautiful. You must see them. You will feel like you are in a fairy tale world.Thank you for the wonderful video. Greetings from Krakow.
@@JacobandJennyTravel Oh! The list is very long. It all depends on how much time you have to visit Krakow. To see all the wonderful and historical places you need at least a month. However, the basic monuments are the Royal Castle, the Main Market Square, the Kazimierz district and Podgórze. You can also visit nearby castles and monasteries. For example, the Castle in Pieskowa Skała or the summer residence of Polish kings in Niepołomice. It is also great to go to nearby Wieliczka, where there is an old salt mine. It was founded in the 13th century, but the beginnings of exploitation date back to the Neolithic era, i.e. approximately 3000 years BC. You go down stairs to a depth of 135 meters. @@JacobandJennyTravel the guy gave you lore of a video game, history of a guy with similar name, nit actual real life Polish history. First clue is thr fact that it would be difficult to find a monument in Poland given to anyone helping some "imperium". Zugmunt III Waza was just a king of Poland, Great Prince of Lithuania, and for a little while a king of Sweden and a prince of Finland. The monument was made byhis son just for propaganda purposes, or to celebrate how awesome he was or something. He wasn't the greatest king of Poland (that title is definitely Kazimierz Wielki's, Casimir the Great) but Poland was the biggest during his time, so he must've done something right.
Nice You had a great time in Warsaw. It's my home town and I have a ton of great memories regarding places that You enjoyed so much. It's really warming my heart :) Thanks!
You're completely right - it's pretty empty. I don't know what day was it but usually Warsaw Old Town is humming with tourists. Maybe it's the weather. Have a blast in my country 🤍❤️
The center of Warsaw is so long-winded, in fact there is not one place/street where you can say that this is a real center here, as in other Polish as well as European cities. Theoretically Warsaw's Old Town should be the main center, but in practice hardly any Varsovians when they go to the center, go there.
You have traveled across the globe and say that Poland is the best, it's really nice of you to say this. You're so kind. :) Thank you, and you weren't in my city so long ago, just 3 weeks ago, nice! :)

Ha! It’s so cute, you think that nook with narrow opening was made as a shielded from snow! It was actually built that way to be shielded from arrows and to kill enemies with arrows!
You should buy gloves, scarf, winter socks, and warm jacket in some Warsaw gallery. I think that cost of that wouldn't be as big but if you do it you would feel warmer.
We do have some big coats and winter essentials that we have definitely been wearing after this first day haha!!🥶 Thanks so much for your concern friend :)
I absolutely love your enthusiasm :) for a typical Pole first snow in the winter is quite exciting but then each time it starts to snow again, we're like 's*** not again' 😂
6:02: Because of the war - well, it was not merely wartime destruction during fighting. After the Warsaw Uprising failed, the Germans went out of their way to eradicate the city. Within the next six months, they purposefully demolished as many buildings as have been destroyed in the five years of fighting and occupation before then. It is estimated 85 to 90% of Warsaw was destroyed, including almost the entirety of the Old Town, many historical landmarks, museums, libraries etc. The Old town was reconstructed after the war, the New Town only partially. Out of the Saxon Palace, only the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier survived and was partially reconstructed - in recent years a project started to rebuild the whole thing. To get the idea, look up a picture of a girl in the ruins of Warsaw taken by Reginald Kenny in 1946. What she's overlooking is not a construction site, gravel pit or no man's land - it's where the Warsaw Ghetto was located just a few years earlier. 9:09: In Polish, it's "Barbakan"

My first snow park for snowboard was in Szczyrk and best memories of old town (small but nice) was in Bielsko Biala.
Awesome video you guys. I laugh at your excitement over snow. We had 6 inches last week . Most is melted now. But more to come I’m sure. Thanks for telling some of the history of the area. Very meaningful. Stay safe guys. ❤
On February 1, 1944, Polish partisans (soldiers of the Home Army) carried out an attack on Franz Kutschera, the SS and Police commander of the Warsaw district. It happened in the very heart of the police district occupied by the Germans. However, Poles paid a high price for the successful action. Four participants of the action died. The two, cornered by the Germans on the bridge, jumped into the river where they died. The occupant's losses amounted to five killed and nine wounded. SS-Brigadeführer und Generalmajor der Polizei Franz Kutschera, after taking up his position in Warsaw on September 25, 1943, immediately used terror against the civilian population, unprecedented in the occupied city. The number of roundups increased, street executions became more numerous, and announcements were posted in public places every day about additional Poles who would be shot in the event of an attack on any German soldier or policeman. It is estimated that approximately 300 people were shot per week on Kutschera's orders. When Kutschera led the security forces in Warsaw, the number of civilian victims could have reached five thousand.
It is so heartbreaking to hear those stories. We are so thankful Poland has rebounded and it the amazing place we see now. Thank you for all of that information, we truly appreciate it!

The South Slavic consists Serbian, Croatian, and Slovene. All of these languages make it harder to learn, especially for English speakers.

Cześć, Im glad you liked your visit!
Please, come again sometime!
We for sure will!! We love Poland 🇵🇱 thanks so much for watching! We hope you will continue to watch our travels :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel And we love our People. :]
Nice You had a great time in Warsaw. It's my home town and I have a ton of great memories regarding places that You enjoyed so much. It's really warming my heart :) Thanks!
It is an amazing city! So fun and cozy. How cool you live there! Thank you for watching :)
Cieszę się, że mieszkam w Polsce, kraju o ponad tysiącletniej bogatej historii i kulturze. Polecam zapoznanie się z historią i kulturą Polski.
It is such an incredible place like you said! Thanks for your comment :)
You're completely right - it's pretty empty. I don't know what day was it but usually Warsaw Old Town is humming with tourists. Maybe it's the weather. Have a blast in my country 🤍❤️
We came back yesterday and there was lots of people there!! I guess we just came at an off time the first day! Thanks for watching friend :)
The center of Warsaw is so long-winded, in fact there is not one place/street where you can say that this is a real center here, as in other Polish as well as European cities. Theoretically Warsaw's Old Town should be the main center, but in practice hardly any Varsovians when they go to the center, go there.
Love seeing you’re enjoying your stay in Poland ❤
It is such an incredible place ♥️🇵🇱 thanks for watching friend!
I hope you had good time in Poland.! Thanks for visit us!
We have been having an amazing time! Thank you friend 🇵🇱
I'm from Subcarpathia and here we have snow almost up to our knees
Wow that sounds awesome!! And really cold haha!! Thanks for watching :)
You have traveled across the globe and say that Poland is the best, it's really nice of you to say this. You're so kind. :) Thank you, and you weren't in my city so long ago, just 3 weeks ago, nice! :)
It is such an amazing place :) Thanks so much for watching ♥️
@@JacobandJennyTravel honestly, I always am crying when watching foreigners that say many positive things about my country and it tells me how much we locals not appreciate what we have, just complain a lot.
The Old Town Market in Krakow is the biggest in Europe, and I think, the most beautiful ❤❤❤
We are headed there next!! We can’t wait 🇵🇱 thanks for the recommendation :)
Wrocław IMO is better ;) and Christmas market is cool and the biggest
I’m so glad you enjoyed Warsaw! Also you were so lucky that you came when it was snowing! Some winters there’s no snow at all.
We had a great time and we are sooo happy it was snowing when we were there! Such a sweet surprise ❄️ thank you for watching!!
Sigismund the third took a polish capital from cracow to warsaw :)
That is so interesting!! Thanks for the information :)
I just wanted to say, your way of speaking in your vlogs is really cool. It's smooth and classy, especially Jenny. Feels like you could be on a talk show. Keep rocking this style because it could be a big part of your success. Your vlogs stand out and sound great - keep it up!
This made our day!! Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. We appreciate it very much! Cheers friend 🇵🇱
So much child's joy from a little snow 😉 so much fun, good that you appreciated Warsaw :-)
Hahaha so true ❄️ we had a great time in Warsaw 🇵🇱
@@JacobandJennyTravel You are welcome! There are plenty places to see. And Jacob can explore his roots, it can be suprising and important. See you! :-)
Witamy❤️❤️❤️❤️ serdecznie pozdrawiam 👍🔥❤️
Thank you so much friend ♥️♥️🇵🇱
In 8:33 minute the place you are in was uesd for defending the wall and about buildnigs in old town they are rebuild after WW2 because town was destroyed in more then 80%.
That is great to know! Thank you for the information :)
It's a pity you missed the Christmas decorations, they light them up all around the center of Warsaw (especially around Nowy Świat and Krakowskie Przedmieście) on December 6th, so next Wenesday. Makes it really magical :). But I do love your enthusiasm :)
Oh darn that is such a bummer! We would have loved that. Hopefully we can catch some in Krakow and Zakopane! Thanks for watching :)
It's somewhat comforting to know that there are people excited for the snow. Feel free to take some (if not all) with you to share it with your loved ones. 😉😊
We appreciate you being so happy to visit Warsaw as you are very welcomed here. Have a great stay! 🇵🇱🦒🌨☃️
Hahah you have a deal!! We will bring as much snow back in our suitcases as possible 😉❄️ We are loving Poland and can't wait to explore more! Thank you for your comment :)
😂👍
Ha! It’s so cute, you think that nook with narrow opening was made as a shielded from snow! It was actually built that way to be shielded from arrows and to kill enemies with arrows!
Haha! ❄️ that is great to know! Thank you for the information :)
Hahahaha 😂 that is very fair! Thanks for your comment friend :)
The Zoo park where you have been has an actual history to it. There is a movie based on it called "The Zookeeper's Wife".
That is so cool! We need to look it up! :) thanks for the recommendation!
We appreciate you taking the time to write all of that out. It was very interesting to read. Thank you friend :)
Poland is the place to visit a lot of history and beautiful places outside cities... I recommend to visit Wroclaw ( there is too many places :) ) But if you will be visting Poznan or Wroclaw let me know I can show you some nice places and the best christmas market based in the old town :) All the best :)
It is such a wonderful place. We are headed to Krakow next and then Zakopane. We will for sure have to try to visit Poznan and Wroclaw soon. We will let you know if we make it there, thank you friend :)
@@JacobandJennyTravel No worries :) I'm based in the oldest city in Poland ( Kalisz ) but I'm often in both Wroclaw and Poznan ( but I love Wroclaw its just another level than Warszawa :) ) If you go to Krakow or near that area go to Bielska Biala old town or Zywiec or even Szczyrk :) Thats even better places than regular turist cites.
Hahaha, we are the only crazy people who love cold and snow😂 I blame it on growing up in Arizona lol!! Thanks friend ♥️
Warsaw ❤

Sour cream with pierogi is a traditional sauce for it, even for sweet pierogi 😁
You'd deserve a good guide while in Warsaw. Why in earth didn't you climb the St. Anne Church Belfry in the Castle Square? That's an amazing view from there! You could also see three Mermaids of Warsaw... and a lot more!
We will have to do that next time we are there :) thanks for the recommendation!
I recommend you to stay in Castle Inn next to Castle square just 50m away from Christmas tree. 😊
With view of the Christmas tree 😊😊😊
Wow that sounds so magical! Thank you for the recommendation :)
Greetings from Tricity in Poland :-)
Hi there friend!! Thanks so much for watching :)
I'd like to recommend you pierogi workshops where you can learn a new skill of making pierogi and have lots of fun at the same time!👌
That sounds so fun! We will look into it, thanks for the recommendation :)
Hi Jenny. Hi Jacob. How are you. I haven't been using UA-cam for months except for Christianity, but today I came in because I suddenly missed you guys.Looking at your faces after a long time, I feel like I've met my friends in a long time.Hahaha that's possible. You're in Poland now. It's so beautiful. Unlike Jenny who enjoys the snow, Jacob looks so cold. But do those two people look funny hahaha. I always like and support you guys. Make sure you don't catch a cold❤❤
Hi friend! This comment made us smile. It is great to hear from you again! I hope your Biblical studies are going well. Praying for you! Thank you for your comment :)
Fun fact; Polish is a Slavic language. The Slavic language has three subdivisions; East, West, and South. East Slavic consists Russian and Ukrainian. West Slavic consists Polish, Czech, and Slovak. The South Slavic consists Serbian, Croatian, and Slovene. All of these languages make it harder to learn, especially for English speakers.
That is so interesting!! Thanks for the information friend :)
co z braćmi Bułgarami ?😅
I advise tourists to protect their necks because it's the season for colds, especially the man with the exposed neck.
You are so right haha! We filmed this yesterday, but made sure to wear scarves and gloves when we went out today 🥶 Thanks so much for watching!
Warsaw only has 4th or 5th best old town in Poland. Check out Kraków, Gdańsk, Wrocław.
That is great to know! We are headed to Krakow next 🇵🇱 thanks for the information :)
Visit us in Gdańsk! It's only 2 h by the rain from Warsaw, and it's soooo worth it. With snow our town looks amazing. Go, go, go! Christmas market is waiting for you!
