I was an extra in this movie, we filmed the opening scene it was really fun. Filming began around 9 pm and it finished around 7 am. Patrick was the nicest guy, sometime around 1 am they served food and Patrick did not eat in his dressing room trailer he just picked a regular table and had his food with everyone else the extras I mean.. I remember making a call on a payphone, yes, a payphone inside the bar Patrick was passing by and asked me if I had a cigarette I could spare I mentioned that sorry I did not smoke he looked at me with a really intense look and said Son don't ever start it's awful and walked away. Sam Elliott was also very nice to everyone and Kevin Tighe. It was a cool night, here I am in my 50s and remember it like it was yesterday.

A friend of mine was/is about 5' 7" and he was a bouncer for five years at an admittedly sedate bar in a college town. This kid was a black belt in Krav Maga, an accomplishment that took almost eight years to achieve. It does not mean you are invulnerable or will win every fight -- not by a long shot -- but it's unnerving to see a small-ish man be so confident. That confidence helped him to be quite successful in the job. Beware of the 5' 7" bouncer, for sure.

This should be induction for all night clubs and pubs. I have worked security for over 8 years and I swear by the advice of Dalton. Yes, I know its a movie but its surprisingly accurate. Remember, its not personal, its just a job. There have been plenty of occasions where just a nice word, a warning or even a look has the desired response. Obviously it helps that I am tall and big but being nice and not being aggressive has calmed down a lot of potentially violent situations. Vale Patrick Swayze

He was very direct, and always kept to his word, never raising his voice and treating the inmates with respect. To that point, he earned the respect of the inmates and they would police their own ranks when some new guy was getting out of hand. For example he might threaten to remove privileges if certain behavior didn't improve, and the vet inmates would get after the new guys to get in line because 'this CO was one of the good ones' and he'll do what he says and will remove the privilege if the behavior continued.

My absolute favorite movie. Obviously I love Dalton but can we give Wade Garrett some credit? 🤣 they are both legends.

Great writing always allowed even decent actors to shine brightly. Fortunately, Swayze was good, disciplined, and obviously knew how to work with what directors needed. R.I.P.

Theres something to be said about the simplicity of the story for the original. It just flows and allows moments to connect very easily. The new one -- it's just so unnecessarily convoluted and messy.
