Dal-EWEN and Aberlower as in flower! Glad you enjoyed it. Craigellachie not a great choice to camp given all the great wild places but at least it is close to a couple of pubs. Hope your tick bites came to nothing.
Yup certainly easier than the West Highland and Great Glen Ways. For me the isolation was the challenge. Alone for most of the time and i only spent 1 day with another person during the day.
Great to see it again. All though we did it in the reverse direction. We started in Elgin. Lovely trail. Not that crowded also. Which surprised me am little. Your in whisky walhalla. The westhighland way was very busy. Loads of people to share experiences with. Loved the solitude here also.we ended up on Loch Ness and visited culloden moor afterwards. Lovely holiday. ❤️❤️
@@averageadventurer87 you’re right about that. Me neither. Just the 2 of us. We had a wonderfull 2 weeks. We also visited some must see thing. Culloden and Loch Ness
Great video. I'm looking to cycle the route as soon as I'm fit enough. I've cycled the Spey Bay to Craigellachie so far, looking forward to exploring the rest!
Thanks Joe, I think if i go back I will be cycling it. Speaking to some cyclists en route they mentioned the climb into Tormintoull is a difficult one, but possible.
Oh one more thing. We had to go by bus a little. But it never came. So we walked the highland tourist route. Very hot day but the views were stunning. Loads of people to talk to too. Looking down on massive Glenn’s. Brought along my binoculars. No camera. To widespread en big to putting camera. Liked both routes. Next stop Islay in the near future.
@@averageadventurer87 back to basic. In comparison to the west highland way I remember more from the speyside way. Maybe because I didn’t bring a camera.
Really enjoyed this! Looking forward to going myself!
Great to watch the full version Michael, thanks for sharing.
Thanks, took some time but gives a different feel to the film
The "red" or brownish water is from the peat. When there is even more peat, the water will look black. I hope this helps.
Thanks very informative ☺️
Brought back some great memories, so thanks and well done!
Glad you enjoyed it
Enjoyed the split versions, already - now this is even better. Thank you for putting the work into it, appreciated very much! :)
Thanks Nils, hopefully see you on trail sometime

They came to nothing luckily. There were so many wild camp opportunities. But I was hoping for wash facilities, but no luck.
Me and some friends did this walk 4 years ago but the other way round, Buckie to Aviemore Nice easy walk.

This made me soon realise i prefer groups. Not a fan of my own head for too long. 😂

It can't be much worst then the climb up onto the side of Ben Aigan! That is a killer 🤯
Looks beautiful I’m deciding what trail to walk in Scotland for 2024 what time of year did you do this can I ask you please ?
Hi, can I ask what the issue was camping at Philip Park? Looking to do it as a solo female so as much info for planning would be great thanks
Nice video, i am going in a few weeks. How is phone signal? Did you lose in any point?

Love it. I love my camera but sometimes i just love to get out with nothing but the clothes on my back, a small bag and a sense of adventure.
