    Its crazy im like seeing myself talking 😂 i talk just like you lol. And i agree! As an infp (i guess) i wont change the light bulb until i feel the need to. says im tripping over my scattered stuff on the floor cos i cant see anything at night. Even then i dont think i will change the light bulb lol too lazy. Probably when i have to do an assignment and i cant see anything. And even then ill just move to another room. Yeah i guess thats how long it takes. Forever! Lol

    Unless the lack of a light bulb is getting problematic, I'll probably just leave it and use another light source. If it is problematic, I'll probably just change it or someone else will change it.

      Sounds reasonable to me! :) In our previous rental the bathroom light bulb blew 3 or so months before we left. We just lit candles or took a shower before it got dark, and left the bathroom door open to brush our teeth at night with enough light coming from the hall light. The oven hood light blew within weeks of moving in....and I moved a table lamp from another spot in the room close enough to see relatively well (well enough to not be dangerous at least though not ideal)....or just baked stuff in the oven instead of on the stove top....or started dinner before it got dark....lol.....I'm sure you understand how this works ;) We changed both light bulbs just before moving out. Happy to say we haven't had a light bulb blow in this house yet....teehee....though it's kind of fun finding work arounds when I think about it...

      The great thing is that our 16 year old is an ISFP and he's recently started just 'doing' things. Recently one end of the handle of a kitchen drawer had popped off (the screw came out), and I was just very gently tugging on the other end of the precariously attached handle in the hopes that it wouldn't come off completely (but was prepared that when it did pop off completely that I'd just open the drawer underneath it and pull that drawer open from below). A few days ago I saw our ISFP son coming out of the kitchen with a screw driver in hand and he casually announced (I've fixed the kitchen drawer). I was shocked and awed. He even put the screwdriver away when he was done???!!!!
      Then about a month ago my husband (INTP), me (INFP) and our 14 year old son (INTP) were standing at the back door looking at the gate to our back fence. This gate is wide enough for a vehicle to drive through and there's a nature strip behind our back yard. We were discussing something to do with what we'll do in the event of flooding or some other possible eventualities that may lead us to having to access the yard from back there. We were theorising whether the gate opens inwards, outwards or if the hinges will swing both ways. We INxPs were trying to work out which side and what kind of hinge was on the gate (keeping in mind we're looking from quite a distance), and what kind of hinge the owner would have used for this particular gate (he built this house himself and fenced the property as a rental investment, so we were discussing based on the decisions he's made with the quality vs most fiscally sound options around the rest of the house to try and make an educated guess on what kind of hinge he's used for the back gate...
      ...our ISFP walked into the room and heard us discussing the gate....he walked past us, opened the back door....walked through the yard and down to the back fence, swung open the gate...and called back to us, 'it opens inwards'.
      ....yeah...so there's that ;)

      @@ChaoticallyMe Idk if this is accurate, but that sounds kind of like great demonstration of how inxp types may try to figure out a solution to a problem. It's actually kind of funny, because I probably would've also been thinking of which way the door would swing before even taking action. I sort of enjoy it when other people do the heavy lifting for me. Like my dad for example, I'm pretty sure he's an istp, and he's like the ultimate mechanic/builder/fixer or anything having to do with tools, so that definitely comes in handy when there's a dilemma with an appliance or object that needs fixing.

    In my case it was six months but to be fair the entire fluorescent light mechanism needed to be changed so that meant shopping for a new fixture.
    When winter came and it was so dark I had to bring in lamps from other rooms I knew I had no choice but to change it.

      I think it's partially an Inferior Te thing? Like...the removal of a working light bulb has just created a mark on a deeply ignored mental 'to-do' list. If fate places something on that mental to-do list (i.e the light bulb just blows) then fair enough, you can't fight the universe....but by you acting on the light bulb and then forgetting about it....we're mad because now we have to be a grown up and replace the damn light bulb. To me when my INTP does things like this, it feels like he's outsourcing adulting....and I can barely deal with my own adulting...let alone pick up the slack for him. I do understand that our behaviour is childish, and we shouldn't be getting the shits with you! ...I imagine she can be quite condescending about the whole thing too? eg. 'if you move something, why don't you just put it back? it's not that difficult!'. We're just being needlessly petty and mean from your perspective and it seems uncalled for. Despite understanding it from your perspective...I'd probably still struggle to not get annoyed if it happened tomorrow. It's the pattern of what seems to us to be careless behaviour. Expecting us to pick up the slack when you do your absent minded professor thang.........but since we can be equally careless in areas...it's a bit rich us getting annoyed with you ;)

      Kind of embarrassing to think about it ,that we will probably go to another room to work instead of changing the bulb... going with the flow without interfering with the routine 😅

    • @ChaoticallyMe
      @ChaoticallyMe  4 роки тому

      Why mess with the physical world when we can just find a way to work around it until someone or something else takes care of it? My INTP and I's work around when the light bulb in the bathroom of our previous rental blew was to light candles or take a shower during daylight hours. Brushing teeth before bed, we just left the bathroom door open and the hall light gave us enough light to see well enough. Needless to say, we only changed the light bulb just before moving out.

      I quite like Erik Thor's tests at the moment: www.erikthor.com/test/personality-test/
      but I also don't think you should feel it's something you need to worry about if it doesn't appeal to you :) If you're happy just the way you are without knowing then don't let me make you feel like you should feel any differently about 'knowing' your personality type. For so many people it's kind of irrelevant to how they live their life and they're perfectly happy to not worry about it. Either way, I think you're lovely Heather, no matter what your personality type is :) :)

    • @ChaoticallyMe
      @ChaoticallyMe  4 роки тому

      hmm...maybe it's not a great test....lol. I get INFP on every test so I probably can't judge a good test from a bad test to be fair! The one you just did when I scrolled down, a lot of peoples comments said they got a result that was way off from what they believe their personality type really is. ENFPs are Ne doms (Extraverted Intuition) so they spend a lot of their time generating new and exciting ideas, they have big personalities and a lot of comedians (Robin Williams for example) are ENFPs. Those of us with Extraverted Intuition in the first two slots struggle with ADD/ADHD like lack of concentration (our brains bouncing around from one topic to another and finding it difficult to focus on any singular task or topic of conversation).
      My memory of your previous result was ISFJ :) from everything you told me, you seem like you feel Introverted, and a home body (me too!) so Si (Introverted Sensing) as your primary cognitive function is possible (ISFJ or ISTJ). Have you read about ISFJs and ISTJs as a possibility? In Socionics the last letter for Introverts is reversed (so an ISFJ in MBTI is ISFp in Socionics and ISTJ in MBTI is ISTp in Socionics): Here are some descriptions of the two:
      ISFJ - www.16personalities.com/isfj-personality and www.sociotype.com/socionics/types/SEI-ISFp/
      ISTJ - www.16personalities.com/istj-personality and www.sociotype.com/socionics/types/SLI-ISTp/
      an example of an ISTJ woman here on UA-cam is Blair Lamb (the ISTJ definitions can often sound a little masculine to me...so it's nice to see an ISTJ woman as an example). I'm not sure that many ISFJs give two hoots about MBTI so there might be some on UA-cam but they either haven't done the test or aren't interested in talking about being an ISFJ on here :) so I don't have any examples to give you of ISFJ women :)
