Another great, funny video full of nice images. I love your creativity and ideas Chris, you're always giving me the inspiration to chase my ideas. Thanks mate!
Thanks for making a great video and showing us what the em5 iii is capable of doing. It was fascinating and I look forward to shooting with the same camera. Mine should arrive around the end of November. Please keep up the good work!
Chris your work is inspiring, the concept of setting a deadline, while travelling light, shooting after dark and then printing big really shows Olympus at its best. Great images and a fun adventure, thanks mate.
Thanks Derek! Really means a lot to hear and I couldn’t agree more, let’s stop talking about numbers, stats and what a camera can or can’t do... it’s 99% the person behind it anyway.
Dude, this is crazy man! your video totally got me sucked in the project. which is super good filmed by your friends! the shot at 6:22 was blowing my mind
Great project and well presented (music, cut and humor 😂), also really like some of the stills. As someone used to working 24h shifts, I really appreciate the dedication. Standing in the water at night, driving 10h+ a day and I guess maintaining the teams motivation surely is something. And then preparing for the exhibition coming home the day after 🤯
Chris- this is really great. Thanks for doing this, and thanks for also focusing on what photography is, which is not equipment. Your concept of the 24 hour deadline is great and inspiring- the bets art done within constraints.
Thanks Peter! We didn't actually beat it... we got proper stuck between Antwerp and Brussels at 7 in the morning... just that everyone was sleeping (besides me driving) and nobody filmed it hahaha
....yes! finally a descent camera test without a lot of bullshit talk!!!!! this is good work!!!!! and you delivered pictures, that what's a camera is for!!! i just like your attitude.
Always love your work Chris. Such a great idea and I agree with the other comments, so much better than all the other review videos. Now, how about 24 shots in 24hrs in Australia! 😉
Your videos never disappoint always great to watch. The images I am sure have got the thumbs up from those who know more than most. For me they are all good, with the low light images being some of the strongest. Great work as always what with you in Belgium and Brandon Li in Andalusia my cup overflows.
Wonderful little film, Chris. Always entertaining with humorous elements interspersed. Great shots, always aesthetically pleasing. Shot like an adventure film, and it is an adventure-not Indiana Jones, but something completely original and different. Fantastic job!
First of all great video Chris.. Such a gripping audio visual experience.. I am curious what camera did you(or your crew) use for shooting you and the b-roll.. The shots looked quite stable, did you use any stabilizers?
@@chriseyrewalker the low light performance quite frankly felt unreal coming from a m43 sensor.. I am an em1mk2 user and it kinda struggles in that department.. I love it nevertheless.. You guys are awesome man..
Nice project and very nice photos! The results are beautiful, makes me want to go to Belgium. This is a "camera" review that was actually do something about the camera. Not just some specs reading reviewers who don't really know how to take good photographs other than "No 60p4K, NO USB C, only 1 sdcard slot, only 20Megapixels small crop sensor, no bokeh, autofocus is meh, plastic body is bleh" and so on and so on.. In the end doesn't show any photos
That was so fun. Love details setup for video like sliding feet kicking up dust. Please be careful jumping around on top of tall buildings so we keep seeing your work.
Unfortunately, there were only 2 pre-production E-M5III cameras in circulation when we shot this. So we decided to shoot the video part on the E-M1X with PRO lenses. Did the job I’d say.
I’ve watched a handful of “review” videos of the new 5 mark iii and this was by far the most fun! Nice work man. My kinda road trip (exhausting lol). Do you mind saying which lens you used in your shots? I tried looking at your site and in description, so if I Missed it let me know where to peep :) I know you said the 7-14 and I think I see the 12mm 2.0? But again, super fun project to watch!
Chris Eyre-Walker thanks! I’m in love with the 40-150. Living in Alaska it kinda comes in handy. Still haven’t mastered the night long exposure focus point on the 12mm (which I have too). So well done! But fun to watch this!
Great Project! Seems, there is more to Belgium than ugly houses. What was this video - which is also great by itself - shot with? Did you shoot it on an Em5 III as well? What lenses were employed for filming? Thx
Thank you. Definitely a lot more to belgium than ugly houses haha. Unfortunately, at the time of shooting, there were only 2 E-M5 III cameras in circulation in Australia. And I was fortunate enough to have one sent to me for this project. So we shot everything in the E-M1X and pro lenses. All handheld.
@@chriseyrewalker merci :) j'hésite à me l'acheter mais pense tu que la grosse différence de prix avec la version précédente justifie le prix? Ou puis je commencer avec le mark ii? Merci
Seemed to be an adventure with the preliminary E-M5mkIII, which is good, but there should have been more detail in this about it. Maybe a follow-up on your thoughts of the camera (and lenses used) during this adventure is coming, or should be...
I reckon, there are enough reviews of the camera out there. How about we let the project speak for itself? At least, this was my intention for this project.
@@chriseyrewalker Thanks. The project does speak for itself. Just wanted to know how the camera you mentioned in the description of the video, that Olympus asked you if you wanted to test, and with less than 2 weeks notice you had to come with a project to test you and the camera... and we never heard how it made out. We know how you did. Tired with some great images of great places and locations.
The photographs and the circumstances they were taken really highlights the unique combination of features that is the em5, but the self imposed time limit seems unnecessary. But appreciate the concept which makes the video exciting to watch. Hope you continue to make UA-cam content more as there are very few of you real photographers making UA-cam videos.

Surrealism is the essence of Belgium. Not just the art form but the lifestyle too.

You’re right, the exhibition part was actually some of the more stressful and hard things to do
Love it! Absolutely! Idea, Planing, Execution and Results! Awesome!
Thanks Mike. The goal was to show what photography is about to me: a concept, execution & fun and then actually showing it to real people in print.
Sir... this is completely insane and spiring! I loved it! Incredible photos... Belgium is amazing. I'm already waiting for the next video, Chris!
Thank you Luciana! Means a lot.

A mad idea brilliantly executed well done Chris and team. You beat the Belgian traffic which is a feat in itself.

Loved the execution of this whole project.. would love to see this evolve into a little series...
actually, this is the plan for 2020. 12 episodes / short films with a similar feel and theme. All around the world.
What a win-win for you and Olympus! There's no mount too high, if you enjoy the time
Very cool video Chris! I love all the shots but the last one is an other level!
