The Genshin/Transformer one has two possible explanations. It was a placeholder model for the Ruin Grader enemy since the model was found back in 1.1 and in 1.2 we got the big robot enemy. Another possible reason is a copyright trap. Where Hoyoverse could say 'We have an unused Shockwave model in our game' and if the other devs copy and pasted which is surprisingly common then they could find that model in the copy and pasted game in court.
developers frequently add complex models like this in early versions of a game to test their engines. they are usually removed for production releases but people often forget stuff like that for a game theyve been working on for years during crunch before a deadline. theres a famous example of an untextured weapon, i believe a weapon from halo, appearing in another games code, i forgot the details.
Or maybe Alice was just squinting because she’s pulling down something heavy. People make faces when they’re pushing or pulling something heavy. Her face changed before doing this adding some detail and realism.
For the bounty hunter thing, it's possible that the artist was really just having some fun. Sometimes studios will have two things in development at the same time and things might get loaded into a more complete project for testing then left behind by mistake or they might use an older project as a base to work from and still leave that stuff behind by mistake. If they were testing mechanics for another project then an artist may have had some free time and thought it would be funny to give the testers a Mandalorian character to play with. Can't be sure of that, especially if it's for a project that never released or cut content from really early in development of one that did eventually release, but it's definitely a possibility.
I like to imagine that it's a cut crossover content for the online multiplayer But what you said sounds more plausible Remember ocarina of time has a arwing from star fox for animations of the lava worm boss
The secret in Idle Slayer also seems to activate something that can replace the bonus stage one time and never be seen again that has a massive exposition dump, so this thing could be some kind of hidden big bad or puppet master pulling the strings of the events of the game.
honestly alice's face looks more like it just doesn't reset after straining her face while pulling the chain. you can see her eyes start to squint as she begin pulling down showing that it is a change for the animation
@@Rehevkor I rewatched it a few times and I think it looks intentional. Not an animation glitch. Its an Asian themed level and she's wearing an Asian themed outfit and they probably gave her Asian eyes for the level's theme but then removed it to avoid accusations of "yellow face" but missed it for the chain pull animation.
Eric said himself in that interview that "even though the norse saga is over there's more mythologies to explore. There's a reason Tyr does the six animations" So it's pretty obvious there's nothing more to find in-game.

The Shockwave model actually has a simple reason, the game has a very tall boss (a 40 meters robot) so they used the model to test how tall can be an enemy without crashing the game engine or cause performance issues, considering that the game has to be able to run on a mobile device.
@@VideoGameStupidLC Me either. Apparently Asian faces are now offensive. The offensive part is people seeing a squinting face and immediately thinking the character suddenly turned east Asian.
Agreed. And I also doubt it was ever "intended" for her to be squinting to fit a china themed level. Whether or not the designers were Asian that's kind of an insane leap to even think of.
I played Tinykin thanks to this video, and it's actually a pretty open and shut case lol. You literally find the guy that owned the house at the end, and he tells you everything. You even see the aliens that have him imprisoned in the final cutscene.
For the Tinykin unsolved easter egg, false patterns can happen all the time in cryptography with brute force. I’d say that it should be taken with a pinch of salt, especially since it seems a bit muddled in its message.
Depends on what the code is. If it's just like a substitution cipher (which, let's be real, it probably is), then the fact that the first half was so comprehensible means that the second half is almost certainly correct (or at least no more than a letter or two off).
I remember getting off my first job which involved digging holes to taking a bath then smoking a lil bit of weed and playing that game. It was a bit easier back then cause I had my mom but time passes much like people but I still play it just those memories are too good to not think back on
To me, #2 looks like maybe an unfinished effort squint animation? Seeing as it only shows up when Alice is pulling the chain, and considering how much force it appears is needed, I would almost bet that's what it is. Since most players won't have the camera around to the front when pulling the chains, it may have been left in with the naive thought that no one would ever notice it and just moved the work focus elsewhere.
Yeah it looks like it just doesn't reset quickly enough once she's done. Probably overlooked and not so much left in on purpose. That's a shit entry tbh cos then every face Link makes in Wind Waker is racist.
For the genshin Shockwave thing i assume the model was just a placeholder used for the Ruin Grader enemies, they’ve been in game since release (fitting the note about the model being there since then) and considering the fact (according to the video) it was a large model it’d probably fit the Ruin Graders size, so not a mystery just a classic “oops we left in a placeholder model” situation
@@LocalTorchwoodIntern I mean, the game is in Unity, so they definitely knew what the engine is capable of. I think it might just have been an accidently imported model they forgot to delete.
The Bioshock Infinite one just kinda fits a major theme of the game, where (spoilers) the characters can hear songs that don't exist yet. It may actually just be a reference to a song not written yet, or a splice of several songs at once. And no one ever said you have to hear them in real-time, so sounds from the future or alternate timelines might be happening there all the time with various degrees of time-dilation.
The audio director of Bioshock Infinite revealed in an interview that the eerie sound in the game was the result of slowing down an acoustic session they had during production. He actually employed the same technique for a few other areas in the game. The article is: "Irrational Games explains BioShock Infinite's hidden audio"
One time I found a box of unreleased Magic the Gathering cards by accident, the devs didn't intend for it to be found and they sent a really nice developer team called Pinkerton developers to politely remove the box from the coding and put in the box I intended to obtain originally
4:50 I do wonder, was this a remnant of a scrapped project that was accidentally inserted, or a piece of a crossover idea that was never picked up. Either way, it would probably make a neat boss fight
If it was there from the beginning of the game files, I could actually just see a coder or something getting a free 3D model to use as reference for size or entity placement, and chose him because they like transformers because they thought it was cool. I don’t think it was meant to actually be used in game.
Since it's apparently been in there since the beginning, I'm also putting my money on that it was a test model used during development. Lots of stuff like that in games.
I have something for you: In "Beyond Good & Evil" inside of the torture room right before scanning the code to get the Glove to rescuing Double H (in any version [even HD]): take a look into the item-menu where you can see Jades full model. She will have a VERY VERY scary face... creeped me out back then...
14:35 the snake eating it's tail in a circle is a depiction of infinity, endlessness, etc. There is 1 inner triangle, and three inner circles (when connected with lines form an upside down triangle) create the widely known geometry of a hexagram. It's sacred geo that appears in way too many religions and such to narrow down a plausible connection. The reason I bring it up, though, is because Halo *Infinite* does the same thing with their newest, esoteric species. They have a symbol representing them that doesn't appear to be a "form" unlike the other indexed species on Zeta Halo. Humans are drawn as humans, but this new species, in Halo INFINITE, is called the "Endless" - their symbol geometrically matches a hexagram, surrounded by a circle, and they're called the endless, so I thought the similarity to the Witcher/Cyberpunk mystery is pretty cool, if not possibly inspired by similar sources. :)
Yep it's an ouroboros, not sure how that would help with the puzzle but it might. It also has numbers on some of the symbols, such as a 001 at top, 03 on the right and a 6 on the bottom. So probably something that has to be done in the room or before the room.
@xShadowbane451 I don't think it's a 001. I think it's the same double square symbol in the 3 bubble and another symbol, as it being a 1 doesn't match the other number font.
14:38 FF06B5 when inputted into a color wheel reveals the color hot pink, that triangle has a similar color of said pink. I guess this connects the two more together besides the symbol.
11:33 "As the game was suddenly interrupted with the normal intro screen, which seemed to play without any noticeable difference, that is until..." *Ads*
2:02 Considering the Yoga poses, that's probably telling that the next installment will be happening in the asian mythology where Kratos finds Nirvana and Buddha and he has to slay a large Asura
Conker: Live & Reloaded had really fun multiplayer. It wasn't the same as the N64 version's, but was great on its own. Too bad they shut it down and not many have gotten to experience it.
I think the Alice part is just a bug. It could be that the character narrows her eyes because of the effort needed to pull down the chain, and the face doesn't return to normal when it should.
Regarding the BioShock: Infinite music - the game uses the Wwise sound engine - the engine version used in that game only has a handful of sample rates pre-built for native playback - music from that engine is usually only played at sample rates of 22,050 Hz, 24,000 Hz, 44,100 Hz and 48,000 Hz - if we divide all of these by 8 or 10 we arrive at sample rates that are not natively built into the engine in seven out of eight cases - the only possible combination is 48,000 Hz slowed down 8x to 6,000 Hz, which is a built-in sample rate that is used widely for room drones and other low frequency effects => the correct playback speed for the sound file is eight times faster
I know the Cuphead part was small but it feels so amazing to be in an Oddheader video. Also I didn't know there was footage of someone else getting the lyrics.
I believe that might be some bug when loading the game in. Looks like placeholder text to see the dimensions and formatting of textboxes that somehow wasn't removed before release.
I’ve seen some people suggest that the reason why Shockwave’s model is within Genshin’s files is because he was probably used to test the Automatons during development. That sounds like the most likely explanation.
That bioschock one definitely says "catch up to me" and it definitely makes sense that it spoils the end game. But it also sounds like at one point someone trying to sing "fly me to the moon" but don't remember the lyrics or the rythm/beat/tempo of the song
In the Conkers one, there also had Pikachu appear at one point (and get beaten to death with a baseball bat) but removed it due to not wanting to get sued. Guessing its the same with Boba+Disney
@@Curtis006 Yep, I believe 20th century Fox owned them back then (Which is now very ironic because Disney literally owns both Star Wars AND the Company that owned them in the first place)
I actually think the artist having fun answer for Boba Fett in Conker does work, with the caveat that a programmer went along with it. It could have easily been an idea they wanted implemented and thus worked on in their spare time only to be told they couldn't do it. That kind of thing happened in Skyrim with the bug jars. The art team had an idea for a quest, clearly got some programmers in on the idea enough to add collision and let players pick them up, but the level director said they didn't have time to implement an idea that wasn't well thought out, so it was scrapped. Very easily could have been a similar thing but instead they were told they couldn't get the rights and thus had to ensure it didn't show up in the game (unlike the bug jars in Skyrim). Or it was used as a joke during development, started by an artist as a placeholder for Conker and continued by other devs until later in development.
The one with Tyr, my theory is that he's showing different meditative styles/poses from different realms, the ones he visited. So maybe we will see more realms in the next game and not just one. Fingers crossed its egypt
@@zackhenderson2392 I think the problem there is that it's still a practiced religion. GoW has basically only dealt with religions that are no longer being practiced (Greek and Norse mythology), which means there's nobody to offend. I can imagine a lot of people might take issue with Kratos cutting off Ganesh's arms or snapping Vishnu's neck lmao. Not saying it won't happen ofcourse, just that there is reason for them to keep clear of 'current' religions. Anyway, time for Kratos vs The Prophet Muhammad, lmao
Might be Japan/Chiba. Shinto/Taoism isn't 'practiced' the same way as other religions, so there's not a huge chance of blowback. They treat their religions a bit differently over there, and some of those poses look like meditation in various forms.
I think it sounds more like "Reach out to me" in the Bioshock Infinite song. Also, thank you for always making me look forward to every video you release, all of them have a lot of work put into them, and thank you to everyone who finds all these secrets.
TINYKIN! I highly recommend that game. Its ending leaves it open for a part 2 and im extremely hopeful that it happens. It was a solid quality game that had zero bugs for me. Thats extremely rare. If you like adventure games with some mystery and unlockables. This game deserves a play.

Sadly, i think this comment isnt reaching out the the people that invented this, so they can at least confirm or deny it.
From what I heard about Conker Live and Reloaded being more censored than before, it was due to the fact that at the time of release, a completely uncensored version may have pushed the game to an AO rating. That would have made it pretty much impossible to get the game to physical retailers. Since the mature content of the original game was responsible for damaging its sales (coupled with the fact that it was being released at the end of the N64's lifespan), it's likely that Rare was trying to play it safe this time around.
Thats exactly the reason, one of the devs confirmed it in an interview around the time Rare Replay released. They wanted to make the game more marketable so they could recoup losses after Grabbed by the Ghoulies bombed. Thats the reason they replaced the original party game multiplayer with a military shooter too.
@@X2011racer Ah yes for a sanitized Star Wars game that's so dull none of you have ever actually talked about the story. An awful series that is ironically responsible for the slow death of couch co-op over time.

My only guess for the Alice Madness Returns one is that maybe the animation was made using a separate model for whatever reason and they simply forgot to change it alongside the player model.
It may just be that the animator was dissatisfied with the results after testing the animation. The "eyes wincing with strain" animation may have been quickly updated to stand out better, but the "eyes un-wincing after" animation mistakenly kept with the original parameters. Given how specific the bug is, it's one of those things that could very easily be missed by the QA team in testing...
The Cuphead mystery is most likely some developer/placeholder text that under normal circumstances you shouldnt be able to see, but when the game bugs out it has a chance of pulling it up.
The really strange part of Alice's face in that level is that it looks like her cheekbones are just shifted upwards instead of actually altering the structure
wasnt expecting Genshin to ever be on here, dissapointed it was just one of those "why is there an unrelated model in the files?" though. one mystery for me is a house currently out of bounds in the southern Liyue region. there is nothing to it, its just there and i wonder if it will be removed when that area gets developed or if it will just be a house model with no purpose.

I am choosing to believe that the song in Bioshock Infinite is a lullaby Elizabeth is singing to Booker in the final moments of the game, which reverberates backwards across time. Ever since taking weed edibles I have been a lot more into the idea of reverse causality.
Genshin Impact: probably someone's test model during early development, maybe to test culling or whatever. Sometimes these just don't get taken out. I personally tend to use the Stanford bunny as a test model when I make stuff. Tinykin: Obviously a reference to "The Truman Show"
for the bioshock mystery song: i assume the intended speed is around the 10x? because in the 8x speed, although the voices track as voices, the guitar still sounds slowed and distorted. thats just my two cents though, i've never exactly played bioshock myself
7:17 the Bioshock mystery is probably the sound producer using some royalty song to create ambience. Songs have a lot of different frequencies and so they can create a nice thick ambience if slowed. I reckon he probably reversed or chopped it up to make sure it was intelligible.
Kratos vs Sun Wukong would be pretty good. I can imagine Wukong, the trickster he is, being more of a persistent troublemaker than an actual malicious villain.
@@arstulex Sun Wukong, at least as far as I know, would be a very interesting opponent for Kratos, since Sun has *multiple* layers of immortality. It will be neat to see how Kratos would deal with some one like that.
@@RedSpade37 Sun Wukong's abilities are so numerous and 'gimmicky' that I feel like Kratos would really struggle against him. Multiple layers of Immortality aside... He has superhuman strength, speed and agility (of course). He has (from what I understand) unlimited stamina, so he will never fatigue. He has his nimbus cloud for flight. He has his iconic staff that he can change the size of at will (Ruyi Jingu Bang). He has mastery over a wide variety of weapons. He can shapeshift into many different forms including animals and objects. (Makes him hard to actually pin down) He has the ability to cast various spells, such as turning himself invisible. He can manipulate the elements (to an extent). He can create many clones of himself from his own hairs, and each of those clones also possess the same innate abilities (strength, agility, shapeshifting, etc), so Kratos would have the possibly face an army of annoying supermonkeys. Given his background though, I can't see him and Kratos actually being enemies. Both have very similar backgrounds, being mocked/betrayed/scorned by their respective pantheons and going Rambo on them. Sun would likely want to fight Kratos for fun, but not as an enemy. More like a neutral character who is just an annoyance to somebody more stoic like Kratos.

As I remember on reddit someone mentioned: [1] Their is a Genshin enemy in the game that resembles the functions of shockwave [2] Transformers had a lot of advertising from Chinese product placement from movie 4/5. (its a loose connection sot china) so its only mostly surprising to see a Chinese developed game feature hidden shockwave model
9:16 - The reason Conker was even more censored on Xbox than N64 is that retailers threatened to refuse to stock it if it was released in its uncut form. In an era before digital distribution, this would obviously destroy any chance the game had of being successful.
The Conker Live and Reloaded Boba Fett was probably a cut class from the online multiplayer component of the game. The Online mode had multiple different classes you could play. I bet they cut the bounty hunter due to his resemblance to Boba Fett and was trying to avoid any legal trouble

About the idle slayer monster, as far as the community has heard, it just seems to be an Easter egg and nothing more Once you get up to the top of bonus stage 2, you’ll see it pretty much as it is in the video, it’ll turn around, make a loud noise, then vanish Once you’ve seen it once, you’ll never see it again, unless you fail that exact section of the bonus stage on the first time you saw the monster, use the retry feature, and go back up again, so far I haven’t seen any documentation of this, so I thought I’d mention it As for the glitched title screen, that happens 100% of the time after you close and reopen the game after seeing the monster, after that, I’m fairly sure it’ll never happen again
10:40 I actually just started to play this game recently so it shocked me to see this! Edit: i just did the easter egg, i didn't expect the music to completely disappear so that was a little freaky
The Warframe one reminded me of an Easter egg I found one time. I forget exactly what stage but I think it was Orokin? where there was this timed thing to get to the next area, and a switch you press that releases some floating pod that scoops around and either provides cover or a place to jump from. (vague I know) but wherefrom this pod comes out the wall, if you go quick enough and jump inside the hole in the wall, there's a massive Excalibur frame back there, like 10 storeys tall, just hanging out.
The Cuphead one seems more like a failsafe to me. Like when the game has an issue and isnt sure what to load, it loads up the Eminem lyrics to stop it from crashing. Atleast thats what id assume.

I like to imagine that it's a cut crossover content for the online multiplayer

It looks like Alice's face gets locked after the animation and it's just supposed to be her grunting face or something.

Or the dev who removed the original face for the entire area missed the version of it used for pulling chains.

The Shockwave model actually has a simple reason, the game has a very tall boss (a 40 meters robot) so they used the model to test how tall can be an enemy without crashing the game engine or cause performance issues, considering that the game has to be able to run on a mobile device.
I think the "Asian Alice" is just her squinting with effort from pulling the lever.
Agreed
Was confused why it was really offensive.... maybe I'm just an insensitive old cooger, oh well.
@@VideoGameStupidLC Me either. Apparently Asian faces are now offensive. The offensive part is people seeing a squinting face and immediately thinking the character suddenly turned east Asian.
@AzureWolf168 what stereotype?
Depends on how it was cracked. If it's simple substitution, it's probably pretty close.
Depends on what the code is. If it's just like a substitution cipher (which, let's be real, it probably is), then the fact that the first half was so comprehensible means that the second half is almost certainly correct (or at least no more than a letter or two off).
I think the Tinykin easter egg is just a reference to The Truman Show (hence the achievement "The Milo Show")
Can't believe it's been 10 years already since Bioshock Infinite came out. Even more, that there's still secrets popping out of it.
For the genshin Shockwave thing i assume the model was just a placeholder used for the Ruin Grader enemies, they’ve been in game since release (fitting the note about the model being there since then) and considering the fact (according to the video) it was a large model it’d probably fit the Ruin Graders size, so not a mystery just a classic “oops we left in a placeholder model” situation
but why
@@stranger-id712 maybe it's a model they already had, beforehand so they could just plop it in and see if the enemy works as intended.
And you can kill the guards the same way they killed shockwave. THE EYE!!!!
Considering it doesn't match up with the animation style at all, it's very clearly a placeholder model
Considering scaramouche's mecha, that actually could fit the aesthetic of Genshin
To me, I think Shockwave's model was a tester of sorts to see if the game could hold/ render complex graphics or models.
@@LocalTorchwoodIntern I mean, the game is in Unity, so they definitely knew what the engine is capable of. I think it might just have been an accidently imported model they forgot to delete.
Yeah, prolly just a placeholder model they used to test Ruin Guard animation or something. Not really a "mystery"
honestly, i'm placing my money on it being a placeholder to test animations for the ruin machines, and potentially, later, scara's mech.
Probably a placeholder but this crossover would fit Transformers well actually.

The Bioshock Infinite one just kinda fits a major theme of the game, where (spoilers) the characters can hear songs that don't exist yet. It may actually just be a reference to a song not written yet, or a splice of several songs at once. Either way, it would probably make a neat boss fight
I believe it's either a crossover that got cancelled, or they used the transformer as a reference for some of the Ruin enemies.
@@zernek9199 That's more likely
more likely a reference to a model that they forgot to remove.
I have something for you:
In "Beyond Good & Evil" inside of the torture room right before scanning the code to get the Glove to rescuing Double H (in any version [even HD]): take a look into the item-menu where you can see Jades full model.
and if you enter ff06b5 into hexcode you get a shade of magenta which looks very close to the color of the triangle.
@xShadowbane451 maybe the amount of times to pull the levers?
14:38 FF06B5 when inputted into a color wheel reveals the color hot pink, that triangle has a similar color of said pink. I guess this connects the two more together besides the symbol.

The Alice face could be like a scrunched, struggle face.
Regarding the BioShock: Infinite music
- the game uses the Wwise sound engine
- the engine version used in that game only has a handful of sample rates pre-built for native playback
- music from that engine is usually only played at sample rates of 22,050 Hz, 24,000 Hz, 44,100 Hz and 48,000 Hz
- if we divide all of these by 8 or 10 we arrive at sample rates that are not natively built into the engine in seven out of eight cases
- the only possible combination is 48,000 Hz slowed down 8x to 6,000 Hz, which is a built-in sample rate that is used widely for room drones and other low frequency effects
=> the correct playback speed for the sound file is eight times faster
I know the Cuphead part was small but it feels so amazing to be in an Oddheader video. Also I didn't know there was footage of someone else getting the lyrics.
I believe that might be some bug when loading the game in. Looks like placeholder text to see the dimensions and formatting of textboxes that somehow wasn't removed before release.

Exactly what I was thinking, if you're on a dev team you'd want to add something to the game just for fun

He has the ability to cast various spells, such as turning himself invisible.
He can manipulate the elements (to an extent).
He can create many clones of himself from his own hairs, and each of those clones also possess the same innate abilities (strength, agility, shapeshifting, etc), so Kratos would have the possibly face an army of annoying supermonkeys.

9:16 - The reason Conker was even more censored on Xbox than N64 is that retailers threatened to refuse to stock it if it was released in its uncut form. In an era before digital distribution, this would obviously destroy any chance the game had of being successful.

About the idle slayer monster, as far as the community has heard, it just seems to be an Easter egg and nothing more
Once you get up to the top of bonus stage 2, you’ll see it pretty much as it is in the video, it’ll turn around, make a loud noise, then vanish
Once you’ve seen it once, you’ll never see it again, unless you fail that exact section of the bonus stage on the first time you saw the monster, use the retry feature, and go back up again, so far I haven’t seen any documentation of this, so I thought I’d mention it
