There’s one Easter egg that I haven’t seen anyone talk about in a while. In Star Wars Battlefront on the Twilight on Hoth map, there’s a secret cave on the first imperial spawn and when you enter in it you can see a Wompa eating a Taun Taun
That shadowy figure in Payday 2 is not an easter egg, it's legit part of the story. If you actually piece it together, you'd probably be left wondering why the hell the devs switched gears from a game about mass killers robbing banks to mass killers saving the world from a Lovecraftian horror, but that's legit the plot. It takes a great deal of effort as well as solving puzzles in missions that have pretty much no clues to them, but it actually culminates in the White House mission, unlocking an alternate route and ending that's only accessible after doing everything else on the very specific checklist.
Some of the weirdly textured areas; like the "kitten shrine", are probably places where the devs added in geometry to the map during development, but didn't have the final textures ready yet, so they probably used random images as test textures. It's a pretty common part of the development process to use stand-in resources and textures during creation; and they don't always get completely removed before release.
The Kitten room in Everquest was where we would put people who were being an a-hole in the game but did not warrant a full out ban - so we would squelch them and place them in the kitten room for a timeout. GM's and guides would also use it as a place to work from if the GM zone got too noisy.
In The Witcher 3 there is an easter egg extremaly far out of map boundaries, a good 5min of sprinting on a horse. After a longer while your horse starts to act really weird, running on front legs or flipping, moving strangely. The easter egg is some pictures with devs.
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance there are a few out-of-bounds Easter eggs. South of the city of Rattay there is a crashed UFO and a set of four crop circles that you can't see or get to unless you noclip out of bounds (The UFO model is actually a very large kettle helm). There are also a couple of places where you can find traffic cones; one is in a closed shack that you would have to noclip to get into, the other is in a watchtower where the only way to get there is either to noclip OR drink too much and randomly wake up there. (This may be an obscure Red Dwarf reference.)
There's a secret achievement in Human Fall Flat that can be found when ignoring the obstacle course completely and instead climbing over/around walls and going in buildings in the background in some sort of construction level. Markiplier found it when playing with Bob and Wade by being the silly goof we know and love, just in case people wanna go see it while laughing with Mark. That's.....the only source I got it from. I know, I'm sad. xD
02:11 I love this game! For me they should make a remake or remastered of this game, that's all I want! No jet ski racing games are as good as this one! It had a 2 player mode which wasn't great but it was still a wonderful game, I hope some developer can come up with a game like this, another game that I'm waiting for a remake or remastered is also conflict: Vietnam
In the first half-life you see the guard you play as in blueshift banging on the door when you start a new game, and in blueshift you can see freeman pass by on the next train while you wait for that door to be opened. You can also see any marks you leave on the floor of the armory on the security monitor if you shot in the right area (make a quick save before trying this so you don't waste ammo.)
3:17: "Cat room can only be found if you're hacking". This is false. As someone who played Everquest, it's possible to enter the cat room by artificially maxing out your bandwidth by downloading several things while playing. This will allow you to walk through the zone trigger. It's also one of many hidden cat rooms.
The Stanley parable also has another Easter egg, if you go to the mind control room, you can go up on a chair, then onto a desk, and fall out of bounds
Yeah, but its only in the 2nd Version of the Game where it is an actual end. On the fist you just fall to the bottom and nothing happens, because it was overlooked in the process.
Theres an out of bounds secret in Security Breach where if you go to the level 10 door in Rockstar Row, and call Freddy to open it, there is a t posing freddy, which i think is for the low power Freddy jumpscare
I don't think anyone's done it, but in the first Sims game, I somehow got controllable Ghost Sims 3 times. Sorry, but I have no idea how to reliably activate it. The ghost sims also had the red x or + circle on their portrait if they weren't doing something (and they'd disappear if that was active. They'd re-appear if I paused and clicked their portrait.) I could click a tombstone with them and choose "ghost walk," which meant they'd haunt the place. It was always with a female sim who burned to death. It was also in the Mac version, so I don't know if it's present in the PC version. The first time, it was a grandma who burned to death, then I was saving the game, and I realized I didn't want her to be dead, so I unplugged my computer and then (I think) evicted them from their home. The second time, I was goofing around and I burned 3 sims to death, then I don't remember what happened next. The third time, it was Betty Newbie who died during the tutorial that I extended for the old Prima Strategy Guide suggestion of making money by taking advantage of how the Newbies don't have their moods go down on the one bar. So I accidentally hit the Esc key while taking photos of Bob, with the game paused, and then Betty showed back up.
I'm surprised. Every time I see one of these out of bound lists I usually see something about the out of bounds message that you get when playing Slender: The Arrival..."Not even a bug in this game can save you from me."
you can probably still see nessie in the water in watchdogs.. I noticed the head in the water,, I think it was meant to just be seen as a vague shadow under the water when you explore that area.
in High on Life there is this old school style intro game, and theres an out of bounds area, when you get in there it traps you there until the sequence timer of the intro game is over, with the words "F you" written on the walls that close you off
Quake 2 has quite a few hidden out of bounds areas, not sure if all are found by everyone but I did find a few that seem to be rather interesting. I just not going to spoil it where these are. But you can find hidden textures that are clearly not meant to be found or directly speaking to the player that finds them, up to areas that have enemies that you can't kill and portray specific things. You will obviously need cheats to catch most of these.
The thing about the Fallout 3 subway is this: the Creation engine (Bethesda's in house game engine) was never designed to operate vehicles. Rather than try to build vehicle code for the subway, they simply put an NPC under it and give him a path to follow. Simple solution. Another thing Creation engine can't do is cut scenes. Any title screen videos you see are actually a secret room with a blank wall. They project the video onto the wall and have the camera set up so it looks like you are looking at a cut scene. Last thing, you have an oddly low standard for "creepy" and "horrifying". :)
Theres one Easter egg in a hat in time where if you go out of bounds like alot you find this random island that has a cheese on it and writing on the cheese saying sod off, but i forgot which island it was on
there is also one other in undertale remasterd in a certain area (i dont remeber which but it was in waterfall part) you can go out of map without noclip and you see sans and papyrus in the void and if you interact you see them talking about how sans like to be a secret
There's an out of bounds easter egg in Yandere Simulator. If you get a student council member to push you into Info-chan's room, she will say some dialog then crash your game

I love how Devs add Easter eggs even though most people will never see them
It shows how much they care about the game 🙂

Yeah and that’s why call of duty doesn’t have Easter eggs no more

Great video mate, no nonsense or rants in between each game.
The fact that Stockholm has a secret dialog saying that means that the devs knew that people would find a way to get up there
