  • The Supreme Court of Yemen has dismissed the appeal of an Indian nurse's death sentence. Nimisha Priya has been in Yemeni prison since 2017 for the murder of Talal Abdo Mahdi, a local man. Originally sentenced to death by a trial court in 2018, Priya's family has been advocating for her release.

If I remember correctly, there is more to this story.
This woman was married and was living with her husband and children in Yemen. While working as a nurse there, she met this man and the two started a relationship between them. She left her husband and children to marry this Yemeni man. They started a clinic together. They even visited her house in Kerala together. Then there were constant quarrel between them related to the clinic and she decided to murder him.
First she sedated him by injecting some drug. Then with the help of another woman she chopped his body into 100 pieces and hid it in a water tank. Even after the murder, she went to some other place for job and worked there for some days before getting arrested by the police.
If this happened in India she may had chance to get away with this murder by playing women card.

According to western narratives and hindu narratives, only muslims are barbaric in nature, only arabs are savages and rest of the world's people are free from all sins, they never commit such crimes like this woman did in a foreign country Yemen even though she is a foreigner living there.

Acquisition of passport is a process in many big companies too. There may be 2 sides to the story. Such workers go to countries with this knowledge only. Since there is a payment to the contractor (that is in India too) - holding this passport becomes an accountability for the payment made by the owner or contractor. And there is no law governing this.

This channel should define/ elaborate 'case ruling made in secrecy...' Also... respect other countries processes... Will Indian courts use another country's judicial process for that country's National?...
    1. She committed murder... someone lost their life... same crime within Indian borders... same verdict...
    2. She planned in advance to use sedation...
    3. Being an experienced nurse she knows the fatal levels... obviously and deliberately she opted for the fatal levels...
    4. She had opportunity, means and resources to report to the Police
    5. courts in any country do not conduct investigations... they decide based on evidence provided...
    6. Just because the case was in another country does not make the process unfair... besides...
    7. Whatever opportunity to defend herself (if any) that she lost in initial hearing... She got during the appeal... and lost...
My point... This channel failed in it's reporting because it's reporting was based on emotions... that this is a person from India...

And you forgot to mention that in arab countries human rights and equal rights does not exists, in her case they only saw a nurse killing a man, the same man who is regarded higher in society in their country that's why they went ahead with the death sentence, and maybe you don't know but in arab countries judiciaries are often unfair towards women that's why even the law and order index ranks Arab countries at the lowest. Point is know the full story then decide, that's why in india death sentence for murder is not given often.

Some one forcefully getting the passport of your worker/employee is an offense to begin with.
Indians going and working in any country and in any job, however lucrative it may be, if they are asked to give away/surrender their passport to their employer/contractor, should not join/go to such jobs/countries.
Go and help another country's health care and be prevented from your freedom to hold your passport and travel freely and get killed for it? Stupidity of highest order.
Government of India should prevent Indians going to such countries for employment to begin with. Make no friendly or unfriendly countries distinction here.

One of the reasons I moved back to India from UAE. I love the country but however much I see my countrymen say that UAE is theirs and they become and that the country is the best place to live (which is true, no doubt) but the fact still remains is that you never belong. You need to renew your Visa every 2/3 years unless of course you are lucky and have a golden visa or property but most of the working class lives year on year with their Visas. A situation that happens in that country will never be good for you. A car accident, a financial problem, a country wide problem for sure will put you down with no one to help. I realized overtime that outside of the money - you are alienating yourself till the time you work there. Unlike countries that absorb you into their system the middle eastern countries are pretty open with being very particular about what is priority for them and I don't blame them - its just that once you are stuck there there is no crying India cause hell it really was your decision.
