w00t! The redness reduction surprises me because I always thought of it as ... situational? Like how the bridge of my nose gets redder the longer I talk.... I always thought all of my redness was kind of like that, just happened based on what I was doing. But it definitely seems like the redness on my cheeks and chin was a lot more due to inflammation (which is reduced quite a bit now!)
Make sure you take pictures, Rachel! It makes me so excited for everybody trying it (or even just tretinoin any other way). It's so encouraging and satisfying to see the results!!
I’ve been going on this curology journey with you. My skin is the best it’s been in YEARS! I actually prefer lighter coverage foundations now because I don’t have as much to cover up. I’m so glad you shared the start of this journey or I wouldn’t have known about this service. Thank you!
I'm so glad, Vanessa!! I too have been getting into BB creams lately because I don't have as much to cover. It's so satisfying to take the time to do something good for ourselves (and we all know sometimes it's a grind to commit to skin care, especially on those suuuuuper tired nights!) - when I see that it pays off with results, it makes it worth it :)
I have been using curology for about 8 months, I too have no acne but love what it has done for my fine lines, wrinkles, pores, and texture of my skin. Love your b4 and after picks. What a difference. Happy Birthday again and hope you had a great 46 👍
Just found you! Love the videos so far!! I purchase my tretinoin in Mexico, 20$ a tube. Ive been using it for a little over two years and I would NOT be without it... ever. That and sunscreen are the only things, in my opinion, that truly do work.
I agree!!! If I could only have 2 things for skin care the rest of my life, they'd be tretinoin and sunscreen (and hopefully the powers that be would allow me a third thing, moisturizer!!) 😂
I love curology. I am 38 and use it for acne and anti-aging. I just crossed my 1 year anniversary. I am at .06 tretinoin, azelaic acid and clindamycin. My teenage son also uses it for acne. It has worked great for him also.
I’ve been using Curology for over a year now, close to two. It totally CURED my adult onset acne! My skin is less red, more evenly pigmented & the texture has greatly improved. I would recommend Curology to anyone who has skin issues, or aging concerns. It’s definitely worth a try!
The half/half photo is striking! The redness reduction is amazing. Same with your forehead. The 2019 and current picture really shows the texture improvement. I think I need to give this a go.
Your skin looks incredible, Shelly. I swear by Tretinoin. Have used it since my 20s. It was a blessing in disguise having acne in my 20s! Rachel loves her Curology. I believe hers also has clindamycin in it along with the Tretinoin. I use the Retin-A coupled with 10% Azelaic Acid. I'm thankful in PA it's not a problem getting a script. Your sun spots have definitely lightened. Keep up the great work!❤❤
I love Curology! I’ve been using it for 2 years now. My dermatologist said she likes Curology as well! I have Niacinamide and Azelaic acid along with tretinoin. I have seen a improvement in both texture and redness.. I use it about 6 night/week now...
It really, really works and I love it because it cuts using so many different products and that burned me out ! 1 bottle for everything and I'm not wasting time & money for a pig in a poke ! It's so nice 💜💜 you look great 💜💜
Thank you!! It has definitely simplified my evening routine. My Curology nights, the Super Bottle is my only product for actives. Everything else is hydration :)
@@LilBoPeep777 I've been on it for a few months now and am happy w it. I did increase my Trentinoin for my next super bottle. I get my super bottle once every 2 months and its $40. Great deal!
I have noticed that as I get to the last week or 2 of the super bottle it gets a gritty feel. Has anyone else noticed this too? I've been on it 2 years. At the 1 year mark the difference was very noticeable! It is an amazing product. Worth every penny. Your skin is gorgeous shelly!
I haven't noticed it but since I'm not quite going through my bottles at the fastest rate, I tend to just get them almost to empty then start the new one - so I might not be getting to the end of the bottle.
I also love Curology! I have acne, even now at 48, and they tend to be cystic, so not only do I get tretinoin in my bottle, but I also get clindamycin. I can attest to how long a superbottle lasts using it 7 days a week, 2-3 pumps per night...1.5 months. I tend to need to order 2-3 weeks before my regular shipment is prepared. For me and my acne needs, I'd need two separate prescriptions if I went thru my dermatologist so this service is absolutely cost effective compared to the cost of 1 tube of .05% USD. I may never stop.
Prescription skin treatments can be sooo expensive! So I too agree that Curology is very fairly priced! I was also very shocked at how much I love the cleanser and rich moisturizer.
Happy bday!!!! U inspired me to log in and look at my progress photos. I knew my acne had improved but I still don’t leave the house without foundation/concealer. I did not realize how much my skin had improved 🤯 I’d give anything to go back in time and start taking care of my skin in my early 20’s bc it’s made an enormous difference 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I have SO much regret over not using sunscreen earlier in my life! That would have eliminated just about every skin complaint I have today. (I am in pretty good shape, since I started avoiding the sun when I was 19, but I wasn't wearing sunscreen every day and didn't realize that the sun could affect me while driving). But I definitely agree that pictures are SO important! I still look in the mirror and think I'm looking at the same face, but when I go back to older videos here on UA-cam, it blows my mind. Some lines have literally disappeared. And I wouldn't recognize that if I just relied on the mirror. Most people don't have so many up-close photos of their faces as I do thanks to this channel, so definitely take photos!!
Wow, your results look fabulous! I haven't found anything that helps with my redness, adult acne, and wrinkles all at once......how the heck am I still dealing with acne in my 40's?! I will be looking into this, thanks for sharing!
I live in Canada and you need a prescription. I just told my family doctor that wanted to start tretinoin for anti aging purposes. He wrote me the prescription right away. The strenght I use is 0.025, I use it 4 days a week, it last about two months and cost $22 per tube. I swear by it and will continue to use it.
That's awesome, Gabriela! I tried to get it through my physicians, and both said they could not prescribe it for anti-aging, and could only prescribe it for acne (which I don't have). I'm sure that varies not only state to state in the US but country to country. The US seems very far behind in terms of what it recognizes tretinoin for. Some other countries even sell it over the counter now.
Looking like a rock star, Shelly. So happy that you are so happy after discovering a way to find and use the retin-a. I'm kinda freaked out b/c I haven't been able to travel across the border to obtain more. If the travel restrictions outlast my "stash" I may have to look into Curology as well. I'm fine with that, as I'm sure it's a wonderful service as you have stated. I just really get a kick out of walking into a pharmacy and buying ALL THE GOODS! There are so many more things I buy when I go. Also, yes, I have been able to buy in Canada, just so ya know, though it was quite some time ago at this point. Just wanted to say hellllo and happy birthday as well!
Thanks, Lori!! I wish the US would catch up on what now seem to be pretty unnecessary restrictions on tretinoin, considering how many countries now allow it to be available over the counter! It also seems overly restricted here as to what it's allowed to be prescribed for.
After going overboard a million times on what I throw at my skin, I'm happy with the 4x a week goal. My derm said it's a reasonable goal and that at my age and skin condition there's no reason to risk irritation with more frequency. I'm fine with that because it seems to work well and I'm not having any peeling from the tretinoin anymore. (Now I just peel when I get jiggy with my acids... oy!)
This is so cool! You have some great results. I started my teen son on Curology over a year ago (he had bad eczema and acne issues). He still deals with dryness on his face but he’s got the acne under control now thanks for Curology. One of these days I’m going to start myself on tretinoin but I’m too chicken so I haven’t yet. 😂 I don’t know what I think will happen but I just haven’t. Your video makes me feel like I shouldn’t be so scared.
@@delaney545 Thanks! Yeah he just goes straight for the Vaseline at nighttime when his eczema flares up. And it’s way better in the morning. It’s so tricky to be a teen with eczema because the acne products make his eczema flare up. But thanks to Curology he’s finally got his acne under control without the eczema flaring up much anymore. Yaaay!
Start slow would be my advice! I ramped up too fast initially and had peeling. But then you just back off to less frequency and hydrate like mad, and it's all good :) The CeraVe that Delaney mentioned is awesome! Think, Vaseline plus ceramides. Good stuff!
@@goow Yeah I think it’s the peeling I’m scared of. I don’t know if I’m ready to handle that! 😂 I’m telling you I’m so chicken! LOL But your advice is good - start off slow. One day I will, I know it. I just have to get to that point when I’m ready. How did you know you were ready? I wish my son could use Cerave products but it burns his face when he does. He has extremely sensitive skin. So he sticks to plain ole Vaseline, which seems to work when he needs it.
Thanks for the update. I've use Curology quite a while. Oddly, my recent formula's have been crystalizing. They said there was a problem w/ the formula & azaliac acid. They changed it to tranexamic acid. I love azaliac but also looking forward to trying something new. They are great about it, address concerns & fix the issue. Wondered if anyone else has had this issue? You have amazing results, I can see why you are happy where your at. Now I need to look up tranexamic acid, one I've heard but haven't focused on enough to remember.
I haven't had any issues with it crystalizing, but a couple people have said it's happening to them near the end of the bottle, and admittedly I'm kind of getting near the end and jumping to my new bottle, since I don't use up the whole thing. So I might not be getting to the end of it to notice. I was reading about tranexamic acid and it looks so awesome that I'm tempted to ask for it!!
@@goow Mine was starting to happen just a week or 2 into the bottle. Got the tranexamic acid formula yesterday. My face feels shockingly lovely this morning. It seems very gentle & kind to the face. I wasn't seeing results w/ the dark spots fading. Even though from what I've looked into, azelaic acid & tretinoin combined act similar to hydroquinone. I'm excited to shake it up with the tranexamic acid, see what happens. Exciting!
Wow, you truly have gorgeous skin! I just hit 6 months with curology and I am very happy with the results so far. My provider just added Tretinoin to start addressing texture and pore size...I've never been more excited (and hopeful) about my skin!
It definitely works! Consistency is key :) and don't be discouraged if you get some flaking from the tretinoin early on. Step back to few nights a week if necessary and build up slowly, and make moisture layers your best friends. If I could only have 3 skin care things for the rest of my life they'd be tretinoin, moisturizer, and sunscreen!
@@goow I'm definitely going to take it slow...I was thinking every third day 1st week and so on like you! My skin is very dry as well, so in the past I've learned the hard way by jumping in too fast lol. Thank you for alllll the helpful info I just binged on for the last 2 day lol I've learned a ton from you already! :)
Happy Birthday, Shelly! I have been using Musely since August for some wicked sun damage and have noticed a big difference. So happy you are happy with your results with Curology. You look so fine, sista!!!!
I see the biggest difference in redness, skin tone and texture, I can tell a definite difference. I'm playing with oils right now to see how that does, maybe curology will be on the experiment list for 2021 :)
The redness reduction really surprised me because I always just thought my skin was reactive and that was why it got red. It still is... (see: how the bridge of my nose gets redder the longer I talk!) but a lot of my redness wasn't that. Kind of blows my mind!
I turned 30 this year and just started using tret .025% a couple of weeks ago. Hoping it’ll help my acne (mild hormonal around chin) and prevent any fine lines. Glad I’m starting now. Might introduce azelaic acid later to fade PIE if I feel it’s needed. Your skin texture and pigment looks so even now.
Thanks, Darcey! I'm pretty blown away myself. Just yesterday I found a quarter size spot on my textured side of my face that is suddenly SMOOTH. I almost cried. I thought that sun damage was too bad and it would be with me for the rest of my days. Of course now I'll be obsessively analyzing that cheek for more smoothness..... 😂
Hi Shelley there is a difference in your skin which is fabulous. I started tretinoin over a year ago from dermatica in the UK (similar service). Despite having rosacea and eczema I have managed to use tretinoin every second night for months. It is a little different here as the strengths tie in with what is available on prescription, rather than so many strengths available. I started at 0.025% and am now on 0.05% with 4% niacinamide. I use azelaic acid on the alternate night. I did use a retinol for well over six months prior to starting the tretinoin to acclimate my skin. I can't use it during an active flare of my rosacea, but consistant use alternating with the azelaic acid has severely curtailed flares. Any irritation I have now is purely new product induced (despite patch testing etc). In my case lines weren't the biggest difference - cushion/firmness is. As i'm post menopause at 48, my face had started to lose plumpness/cushion in the cheeks and this has massively improved. There is some minimising of pores and minor wrinkle reduction, but I'm really happy to have my cheeks back where they were pre menopause. My skin is thicker and more resilient plus a lot less crepey. I'm happy with it and find it worth the money, more so than any OTC beauty product. Best wishes.
I need to write down the name of that, Dermatica! I always forget it! I'd like to be able to reference the equivalent services over the pond when I can :) Thanks, Loraine!
Way to go, Shelly, you can see a marked improvement in your skin!!! I check the website probably once every couple of months to see if they are ever going to bring it to my neck of the woods (SC), but alas I am out of luck still, LOL... I am in my 50's and started using adapalene two years ago with the hope that it will help, albeit slowly...I hope that you have a blessed week...
Thanks, Stephanie! Keep checking - Virginia used to not be on the list and one day it just appeared! I wish they would implement a notification list where you could sign up for notifications when your state is available. I was checking every few months, but who knows how long Virginia was on the list before I realized it.
Happy Birthday! Wow, you’ve had great results!! I’m going to try Curology as soon as I get through some of my OTC retinal products. Thanks for sharing, and cheers to continuing to age backwards. 😃
Started using Curology earlier this year...recently got my new formulation with Tretinoin to help with several "enlarged" pores :( My strength is .009% & I plan to use it 1 night a week, in rotation with my previous formula that doesn't have tretinoin at all, & eventually boost to 2 nights, etc.
I'm glad you mentioned the point about your age vs how often you should use Tretinoin. I am 33 this year and I had tried Curology as well as Rory trials and I have had them sitting in my skincare cabinet because I'm currently pregnant so using retinoids isn't recommended but I look forward to picking them back up in a couple months now and trying them again only 2-3 times a week. Before I found out I was pregnant, I was doing it nightly as the directions said and my normal skin (that I hydrate very well with oils and creams nightly and exfoliate chemically about twice a week) had so much flaking and looked awful! I know it's temporary but now I know I went in too fast as well. I need to do some research about how fast they degrade as well. I keep my skincare in a dark cabinet with a shelf for skincare and a shelf for medication that's in my bedroom... so no excess moisture gets to them. But I know the bottle says to discard after 6 months. Though I know that's a "catch all" timeline like they give 1 year for medication but many last much longer and still work effectively so I need to see what the shelf life for Tretinoin and Niacinamide is. (If anyone sees this and knows, please fill me in!) Cuz I would hate to waste these bottles especially when I know at only a couple nights per week they will last me a few months. Especially with a pandemic and a new baby on the way, I gotta save money where I can and slow the aging process as much as I can haha. Pretty sure my 8 year year daughter and her pre-pubescent sass are aging me at twice the rate as usual haha. I also had weight loss surgery a couple years ago so I have some loose skin on my neck from weight loss that I'm thinking it might help as well, since it encourages cell turnover. Thanks for this awesome and informative video!
I was just trying to figure out how long they reasonably last, too, as I've been tossing my nearly-empty-but-not-quite bottles when my new one comes, but it seems wasteful - though I don't have enough to skip a month.
@@goow From my online research, I saw several doctors say that tretinoin should be effective for 12 months and even after that, they degrade very slowly. Niacinamide has a 3 year shelf life. And since the Curology has that awesome pump packaging that keeps out air and light, I think that it will be good for awhile. I also read one doctor say that benzoyl peroxide actually becomes stronger after it's exp date. I found that interesting to know for anyone who uses that for acne or chemical exfoliation.
I can see a definite difference in your before and after. I get .25% cream tretinoin from India. I haven’t had any issues and it works well for me. I tried Curology, but I feel I get better results from my tretinoin cream, probably because it’s a higher strength than my previous Curology serum. I use the tretinoin M-F, and take a break on the weekend. I didn’t have any luck with otc retinol, but I’m 60 and need more help lol.
I'm totally sold on the idea that tretinoin is where it's at. As long as I am able to get it, I don't foresee myself ever taking it out of my routine now.
@Sherry G- If you don't mind, could you please tell me how did you get your tretinoin from India? I appreciate it. Thank you! I have been searching for that. currently, I am on curology.
@@dianairr1735 I use ReliableRX. I saw it recommended on you tube. When you purchase, it will ask for your prescription, but you can skip that, and the order will still go through. You can’t use a credit card, and have to use a bank account for an e-check. I haven’t had any issue, but I think Shelly’s bank account was hacked, so she chose Curology. You can set up a separate bank account for the purchase, if you are concerned about using your primary account.
I’m 4 months into my curology. Bumped up after 3 months. Can’t tell any difference with the change of formula. I think that this is bc I used over the counter differin for several years before curology. From day one I’ve been able to use 7 nights a week. No flaking at all. I probably will ask for another bump up. I’ve seen minor differences in 4 months but I believe in the product and thanks to you there is proof that the product works with time and patience. I completely use up all three products a couple days before I receive my next shipment. When this happens I use my cerevee until it comes in with no problems. So far I love it. It’s so simple to use and they are very easy to deal with. At 62 I’m thrilled!
😂 I am jealous of your skin's tolerance, Connie! But I'll get there eventually :) I've been using the new No7 night retinol cream on my off-nights from Curology hoping to build up a little more tolerance.
Happy birthday! Looking good! I started Retin A in August. Out of all the lotions and potions I’ve tried it’s the only thing I’ve used where I can see a difference. My routine is down to like 3 products now since retin a does so much.
Thanks, Rose! That's another wonderful thing about the prescription retinoids - they really do multi-task! I think all retinols have that potential but the prescription strength makes a noticeable difference.
I purchased the large bottle and had to trash it bc I couldn’t get product out of the airless pump system. I watched videos, contacted my rep - no luck. It was so frustrating. I hope they fixed that for y’all.
I get something that’s pretty much the same but it’s a different company, I have been using it for 3 months now, got my first month half price or free, can’t really remember, I have seen a wee bit difference, I can’t wait to see it in a years time. I’ve not been using it for the past week as I’m going through radiotherapy, I have cancer in my neck area and I’m a bit scared to use it while I’m going through treatment incase it affects my skin.
Hey Nicola! I hope your treatment passes with flying colors! Any retinol ingredients could tend to be irritating so I'd do the same as you - hold off on them until your skin is under less stress.
Keep an eye on the states list because Virginia wasn't on there for months - almost a year I was checking and checking, and people in the comments kept recommending it, but I couldn't get it in Virginia... and then one day, boom! There it was. Virginia was on the list. I think states also come off of the list when they don't have any providers available that are licensed in that state and able to take on new patients. So it seems to change regularly.
@@goow ok thanks! I’ll definitely keep checking it. I’d love to be able to get some prescription strength retinol! I started on using the cereva retinol and have went up to the differin and have adapted to that pretty well or at least I did all summer while my skin was more normal. I’m starting to struggle w dryness now w the weather changing so I’m wondering if it will affect me differently over the winter
Where did the year go???!!!! No added fragrances and cruelty free :) Here's the master list for each product in the line - support.curology.com/article/13-ingredients
Happy Bday! Curology cured my hormonal breakouts. I was using it every night but thought that it started making me look older because it was drying me out (I was using heavy moisturizer as well). I switched to 2 times per week and it’s better! How often do you curologitize? 😊
Thanks, Hope! LOL "Curologitize" I love it!! I'm currently using it 3 nights per week (and will probably stick with that through at least the new year... it seems to work well at this rate without irritation).
Looking GORGEOUS Shelly! So happy to hear you're loving your Curology! I'm at my 3 year mark with tretinoin, of which 1 1/2 years has been with Curology, and I have to say the results are amazing. I'll never be without it! Just curious about something...directions in general for using tretinoin is to use a pea sized amount, do you feel that 1 pump out of the Curology bottle is a "pea sized" amount or do you use more than that?
I usually do a pump and a half so that I have enough to take some down my neck. 2 pumps is just a little too much and 1 pump only covers my face (and a little shy of enough).
I just signed up for the free month trial but I thought I could request Trentinoin or something but nope! So I just gotta cross my fingers that my provider includes it or I'll have to cancel. It's the only thing I want from this subscription. Did your provider put it in for you without you requesting it? I'm looking to target wrinkles and fight acne (I'm 34) so I hope that the provider will include Trentinoin because of those reasons. I also use sunscreen daily and put that in my survey cause I know that's a factor as well. Now I just sit back and wait until the provider decides what to do. Also, taking those front, left and right side pics was so awkward for me. Lol.
Hi Chandra! I had included in my initial notes (in the forms you fill out to start) that I was interested in tretinoin. My guess is that since I answered all of the questions with anti-aging as my concerns, I probably would've gotten it anyway. If you answered that way I bet you'll get it.
@@goow woohoo! I got Trentinoin, Clindamycin and Azalaic Acid for my treatment plan. Just wanted to pop on here and say a big THANK YOU to you for helping me get into Curology. You should ask them for an affiliate link! Get that coin, girl!
Really impressive results. The tret definitely reduced lines and gave such super smooth skin! I love how azelaic acid reduces redness. I was using Dr. Sams nightly serum (retinol/azelaic acid/bakuchiol) and loved it. Just hard to justify the exchange rate and shipping from UK to USA. Do you find that curology soaks in completely? I really disliked the feel of the prescription tret I tried.
When I compare the Curology cream to the one tube of tretinoin I was able to get online, both were creams, but the Curology seems to have more moisture to it. That's the thing I didn't like about the straight tube of tretinoin I had - like you said, it didn't seem to sink into the skin, and I suspect it's because it was a drier cream.
Do you use tretinoin cream or gel? I've used both, as well as Curology and of the 3, Curology absorbs the best into my skin. I have extremely oily skin. I like gel based the least. Its extremely gritty.
@@goow Interesting! Seems likes it's definitely worth giving curology a try. thank you for all the hard work you put into this channel to share with all of us.
@@JaxxNThBoxx I have normal to dry skin. I've tried both the cream (best I can explain is that it left a film or layer on my skin that never soaked in) and gel (crazy super drying) tretinoin.
Don’t do it, it’s a temporary solution, I used it for a year and it stopped working after the year, the skin purges in the beginning but that’s normal, my skin was radiant but I’d suggest you go get some bomb ass facials with a professional. I go to Lorraine’s aesthetics in Thousand Oaks, California. But there are so many others. I have gotten a blue led light facial which helps reduce inflammation & the bacteria on your face. Whatever works for your skin. I’ve also asked several dermatologist/ professionals what their options are and basically sums up what I said
Thanks, Brenda! My home-town dermatologist knows all of the details of my Curology prescription so I've got professionals monitoring everything (aside from my Curology provider).
Hi Zehra! As much as is possible. Same camera, same lens, same room, same location, though I have upgraded my lighting since last year (which is why last year's is more blown out/too bright - lower quality lighting).
Totally doing this! My derm prescribed tretinoin for me because I have acne, but my insurance wouldn't pay for it because of my age. I think they said they don't cover over 40.
Since the studies show that over the counter products work the same just not as quickly, is there a point at which you plan to (or at least could) cancel curology and use a cheaper OTC formula to maintain your results?
I suspect that with age (and the subsequent effects of collagen loss, gravity, etc) I will continue to benefit from prescription strength to counter those processes. Right now I think most of what I'm seeing is repair of previous sun damage. I haven't quite started to notice loss of fullness and things like that which are likely right around the corner for me. So my tretinoin is going to have its work cut out for it soon!
I stopped it after about 4 months, because it came monthly and my skin is so sensitive to it I had to use too sparingly and wound up with product I couldn’t use fast enough! I now use only once a week on top of my other products. On some areas of my face it actually caused what looked and felt like a burn. Mine is the lowest dose I think but unfortunately my skin is just intolerant 😢
Darn!! The list of states constantly changes based on whether there are enough providers to accept new patients in each state (and whether the states allow tele-medicine). Here's the page to check the current states: bit.ly/curologystates
@@goow I will check this out in the morning. I tried to get it in mid summer this year, they told me Oklahoma wasn't included ! I'm happy to see they are now!
Hi Kelsy! Yes, I do. I take it around my eyes last so it's the amount that is left on my fingers after I've applied the majority elsewhere, but I do take it both up onto the hoods of my eyes under my brow bone (where I'm getting droopy) and under my eyes.
Hi Nancy! I've done it both mornings and evenings - probably more often in the evenings, once or twice a week on a night that I'm not using my curology. (I do curology 3-4 nights per week).
Hi Gina! The strength will vary based on skin condition and your tolerance of it. I'm still on a very low level of tretinoin and have no plans to move up higher anytime soon, as this is working well for me. From what I've read in various studies, even over-the-counter retinol vs tretinoin will eventually have the same impacts on skin. It will just take longer in an over-the-counter retinol (which the body needs to convert to a usable format before it works) or lower strength vs higher strength tretinoins. The risk of going too high is increased irritation and flaking.
Each bottle varies based on the formulation, but it's printed on each prescription label. My 2-month bottle is 24ml (.81oz), though I've seen other people post theirs at 27ml and other upper-20's amounts.
I’ve also noticed your skin tone is more even. And your redness has diminished 🙌🏻
I see a dramatic difference between now and a year ago, that’s amazing Shelly!!! I’ve been on it for just over a month and loving it so far 😄
Happy Birthday again and hope you had a great 46 👍
Thanks, Laura!
What is in your script?
That is awesome!!
You are literally the only beauty you tuber I’d hang out with. Love you and your content ❤️
I wish we all lived on the same block!! Could you even imagine??!! 😂
Very Informative
Happy Birthday! Remember: You're not getting older. You're leveling up!
Heck yeah!! Thank you!!
The half/half photo is striking! The redness reduction is amazing. Same with your forehead. The 2019 and current picture really shows the texture improvement. I think I need to give this a go.
Hi! Happy Birthday!🥳🎉🥳 I’m about 8 months in with Curology! So far so good! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks, Tina!!
Keep up the great work!❤❤
Thanks, René!!
@@goow 😘
I signed up for Curology. Loving it so far.
Awesome, Liz!!!
I'm signing up right now. Thank you for all the info!
Me too. I signed up to give it a shot. Fingers crossed 🤞
I've never experienced a gritiness. Could it be one of the active ingredients of the formulation?
Wow your skin is amazing 🤩
Thanks, Victoria!
We can now get in in Mississippi! I just ordered mine!!
Happy Birthday hon! I hope you had a fantastic day! Take care and big hugs, Kara
Thanks, Kara!!
Your honesty is refreshing. 🧡
@@goow I would have avoided the tanning beds 🤭 And gf, your forehead is smooth as a baby’s butt!!
Wow, your results look fabulous! I haven't found anything that helps with my redness, adult acne, and wrinkles all at once......how the heck am I still dealing with acne in my 40's?! I will be looking into this, thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Mandi! If I'm not mistaken, Curology started out with a focus on acne, so I bet they've got some expertise in that area!
I love my Curology. I've got sensitive skin so I've never been able to bump up the strength, but it still makes a difference
I loved your video! this is very helpful! your skin is glowing now.
Thank you for these before and after pictures - they are extremely helpful!
Happy Birthday!! I love Curology, I’m about a year in as well.
Thanks, Jennifer!
Just started two weeks ago. Looking forward to the results. If they are anything like yours I'll be thrilled.
Make sure you take some close up pictures to compare down the road! It's quite satisfying! 😀
Any update on results?
Happy Birthday, Shelly! I have been using Musely since August for some wicked sun damage and have noticed a big difference. So happy you are happy with your results with Curology. You look so fine, sista!!!!
Thanks, Charity!
I love your honesty on this topic. Well... in general, really.
❤️
Your skin looks radiant and you look beautiful. Such a wonderful person! ❤
Looking great! Your skin is so much more bright, even and tight. Awesome!
Happy Birthday Shelly!
Thanks, Anne Marie!
Beautiful results!😍
I turned 30 this year and just started using tret .025% a couple of weeks ago. Hoping it’ll help my acne (mild hormonal around chin) and prevent any fine lines. Glad I’m starting now. Might introduce azelaic acid later to fade PIE if I feel it’s needed. Your skin texture and pigment looks so even now.
Happy birthday!
wow wow wow Shelly! those before and after pics are impressive, I have never considered Curology but now I may look into it. your skin is beautiful
HAPPY BDAY!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩👏👏👏👏👏👏🥳🥳🥳🥳
Thank you!! =D
I love curology I've been on it for 4 months my prescription is clindamicin 1%, Azelaic acid 8% tretinoin 0.018. I use it 4 times a week
That’s exactly my prescription but I use it every day. I’m going to up my tretinoin in two months.
Hey shelly got my curology today. I hope it's as kind to me!!!
Wooohooo!!! Start slow and keep the moisture coming! It is amazing!
Great review, very helpful
Happy Birthday! Wow, you’ve had great results!! I’m going to try Curology as soon as I get through some of my OTC retinal products. Thanks for sharing, and cheers to continuing to age backwards. 😃
Thank you!! Definitely use up what you've got before moving on. You'll still end up in the same place, results-wise!
Happy Birthday 🎂🥳🎉
Thanks, Janet! Hope you're staying well!
Started using Curology earlier this year...recently got my new formulation with Tretinoin to help with several "enlarged" pores :(
My strength is .009% & I plan to use it 1 night a week, in rotation with my previous formula that doesn't have tretinoin at all, & eventually boost to 2 nights, etc.
your skin looks great!
Thank you!!
@@sherryg1838 Thank you for such a detailed answer. I really appreciate it.
Happy Birthday 🎈
Thanks, Wanda!!
Thank you 🙏 your skin looks amazing!
Really informative, thank you
Mississippi is now on the list. I’ve had it for 3 years now.
Thanks for the update!!!
Thank you your video was very informative, I’m on my 1st week.
Let me know how it goes for you, Letty!!
I purchased the large bottle and had to trash it bc I couldn’t get product out of the airless pump system. I watched videos, contacted my rep - no luck. It was so frustrating. I hope they fixed that for y’all.
Wow yikes that sounds like a defect! I haven't had a bad pump yet, knock on wood.
Of course I live in Indiana 🤷🏻♀️ hopefully they’ll have it here soon. That would be so nice!!!
Has it been a year already? Do any of the Curology products contain fragrance of any kind?

@@goow Thanks so much for the link, very helpful! :)
@@goow Thanks Shelly! I do the same, 1 1/2 pumps. ❤️
I just joined today. Question can I use on neck?
Yep I do!
Happy Birthday i have Dermatica i think the same
Thanks, Lucy Lou! Yep I think that's the equivalent service over the pond!
The before-after pics were helpful. I'd like to ask however, did you take after photos in the same location/lighting as the before pics?
Hi Zehra! As much as is possible. Same camera, same lens, same room, same location, though I have upgraded my lighting since last year (which is why last year's is more blown out/too bright - lower quality lighting).
@@goow Thanks. I think the biggest difference is in your redness. It looks so much better. Good for you.
Totally doing this! My derm prescribed tretinoin for me because I have acne, but my insurance wouldn't pay for it because of my age. I think they said they don't cover over 40.
I couldn't get it from my derm either (she wouldn't prescribe it because I didn't have acne) so Curology has been a great option for me!
So my tretinoin is going to have its work cut out for it soon!
do you ever take a break from using it? i use it every few days
I only use it 3 nights per week right now and never 2 nights in a row.
Glad it’s working for you though Shelley! Your forehead looks fantastic!
did you do anything else for your dark circles? they look decreased and I'm wondering if that's from this treatment! :)
I do take my Curology up under my eyes, and the other thing I use around my eye area is Science Serum Bright & Tight 3-4 mornings per week or so.
@@goow Thank you! how high up under the eyes do you use curology? i'm scared to go too high
I tried to get Curology in the state of Oklahoma and they told me it wasn't available here!
I'm happy to see they are now!
hi there, do you use it around your eyes? xxx
Hi Kelsy! Yes, I do. I take it around my eyes last so it's the amount that is left on my fingers after I've applied the majority elsewhere, but I do take it both up onto the hoods of my eyes under my brow bone (where I'm getting droopy) and under my eyes.
Shelly do you do 7 skins in am. Where can I incorporate with curology. I'm sorry to bother you. I'm 58 and my skin is dry.
Hi Nancy! I've done it both mornings and evenings - probably more often in the evenings, once or twice a week on a night that I'm not using my curology. (I do curology 3-4 nights per week).
Hi. Just wondering is 0.14 a good tretinoin amount
WOW forehead!!! Awesome
Do you know how many ounces are in the bottle
Each bottle varies based on the formulation, but it's printed on each prescription label. My 2-month bottle is 24ml (.81oz), though I've seen other people post theirs at 27ml and other upper-20's amounts.
What are your views on Tazorac (Tazarotene)?
Hi Vegard! I haven't tried Tazorac to be able to compare them. Sorry!
Happy Birthday! Your skin look beautiful. Awesome product. Love from England! 👍🏻🙋🏼♀️🤗
Thanks, Melinda! Hope you are staying well in England!
@@goow Take care!
