    I can tell you, because I personally knew Katelyn, that she intended not to go to Colorado, but had gotten an internship at an ad agency in Cincinnati. I heard that from her, not hearsay from other people. John Carter was in no way nice or good to her, and I know this for a fact.

      How did he treat her? Was he the type to threaten to hurt himself if she even looked at him wrong. I'm so sorry. To lose a dear friend to this must be excruciating. Now you can watch justice happen for your friend. Toast to her and do what she wanted to do, be successful and happy. Take care.

      @@missolesoul Katelyn was respected and loved by a lot of people. When her family talks about how she was kind and friendly to everyone, she was.
      I sit here and see that he was finally charged, after everybody knew he did it, is still hard to believe she is dead. Everybody knew he did it, both police departments in Fairfield and Hamilton knew, and I can only say that his family has some kind of influence in Butler County. Think about how he worked as a teacher showing people how to blow glass, and he has enough money to post bond? That is $100,000 he paid right away. The bond was a million. So his family knew this day was coming.
      She was everybody's friend.

      You are so strong, and have shown yourself to be a true friend, even to her memory, and I am sure you have witnessed the opposite too many times here. I lost my best friend to a drunk driver and I still get so angry and seethe, and he wouldn't want me to sit and be angry about his ending instead of honoring him by having the life he would have wanted for himself and me. She wants you to live and be happy.
      I hope you have a group of friends and family to confide when you need them. Court is awful but that is the final thing you can do for her.

I could tell she'd been crying, Said hi and hugged her. I asked if all was okay and she just smiled and wiped her cheek. She told me, it was all fine, and she was just stressed. Then said she'd see me later and left. I'm glad she is finally getting some justice after all this time. My thoughts are with her family, and loved ones. Justice for Katelyn!

I guess the only, tiniest bit of consolation is the idea that he most definitely thought after all these years he got away with it and getting to imagine the horror he felt when he was finally arrested. Unexpectedly having his life ripped away like Katelyn. Even if they are able to lock him up the rest of his life though it will never be justice for taking Katelyn from this world

    This defense lawyer remains true to form. Looking at way's he could disprove ALL the evidence. "Well, you can look at this, this way, and on and on". Sounds like James Bogen wants to get on this defense team to me. Then do what they do best, cop a plea deal!!! Sickening, and insulting to her family and friend's!!

    • @Lucinda_Jackson
      @Lucinda_Jackson Рік тому +3

      LOL That's literally the job of a defense attorney - to find ways of disproving all the evidence. It's called finding reasonable doubt.
      OTOH, I don't see his input as being how you characterized it at all. He seemed fairly balanced in his appraisal of pieces of evidence.

    It was obvious to my wife and I that John Carter was a killer. To provide all of that information on a 911 call like very suspicious; then the call to her dad telling him that Katelyn was missing without first asking her dad; ‘have you seen Katelyn?’ What a bad piece of business he is..

      She didn't want him or anyone else at that stage. She just wanted to be free to do her own thing and he just wanted a thing to use. I mean he didn't even go in the house according to himself and somehow he knew she was missing? She was supposedly just missing and he's accusing people in the street. What a lowlife he is.

    Always been interested in this case she lived about 30 minutes from where I do and her remains were found 5 minutes from my parents old house about 15 minutes from where I live now suspected it was her fiance all along I think her dad did too and likely the police there was a lot of circumstantial evidence and possible motive yet he walks free for a decade because they didn’t have the evidence im glad he’s finally been exposed but his punishment is a gross miscarriage of justice he’s basically getting a slap on the wrist for killing and putting her in trash bags and tossed them in a dump site in a rural area and wasn’t found until she was skeletonized his parents owned property not far from that site
