Thank you for doing this! It does make me feel better. I do wish they would combine the V1 yoke and throttle quadrant on pc. I find that very confusing but it’s a small thing to complain about.
thanks for testing all these out. got my velocity one and rudder peddles updated last night and cant wait to get my V1 flight stick in the mix. its enroute and will be ready to go. 2024 is going to be amazing with all the activities and career mode!
I'm not really up to speed with 2024 but I just wondered was there some doubt whether there might be a problem with some controllers! Thanks for the video, I'll need to catch up!
Hello Huddison. Ty for this excellent video. I have a question. I didn't understand if the mapping on T.Flight Hotas One is native or if it was created by you. If I buy it, will I need to create a mapping? Thank you very much!
Thank you for the great video. I have created several profiles for different aircraft types in MSFS 2020 for the VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System. Do you think that MSFS 2024 will import all of these profiles via the cloud so that I don't have to enter them all again?
Thank you for testing velocity one flight stick. Didn’t realise you don’t use any sensitivity settings with it, I will try it at default next time I’m on.
Thanks for that, even though im on xbox, good to see V1FS working fine! Interested also to know if the control listener works better in 2024 as i found it a real faff in 2020 to get it to listen to stick movement or button inputs (really sensitive to stick movements etc) especially where i was using a modifier button to give dual actions for some buttons?
One stick that won't be recognised ironically,is the microsoft sidewinder forcefeedback II.I had to cofigure it for 2020 and expect the same pain in the 2024 version.Of all the controls I've tried which are now gathering dust, the forcefeedback is my go to controller..............................................................
Huddison, we all know that our controllers will be obviously 'detected' by FS2024, and, they'll have the same 'default profiles' as seen in FS2020. That is obvious. The BIG problem for us all, and you know this very well, is that almost all of us fine tune the default profile, including perfecting dead zones, assigning functions to different buttons to suit us etc etc etc. It takes a long time and a lot of work to perfect our profiles into something that makes the flying experience much, much more responsive and enjoyable. You know all this! Why did you ignore this? We've been asking if our v2020 controller profiles could be imported into v2024 for some time. Clearly they can not, and to 'pacify' us, MS/Asobo have persuaded channels like yours to tell us all "Hey, good news, the controllers are detected!" We know that! Here's the real kicker, they could very, very easily have implemented a function to map all the v2020 controller inputs to v2024. That they didn't is pretty damning. And NO, this isn't THAT different a sim, underneath - clearly. The controller profiles of identical planes should(!!) 'just work'.
It would be a scandal if the existing controllers were not recognized. I am much more interested in whether the old, individually created profiles will be adopted, because as you have already said, they required a lot of work!
@@markusz1956 For Asobo, they don't require a lot of work. The root cause of all this is that Asobo changed variable naming inside the sim, meaning all your custom profiles will barely be functional, at best. It also means that every panel in important tools such as Air Manager will not work, since they talk directly using variable naming. All Asobo need to do to rectify this mess is provide a VERY simple user-selectable auto mapping function that maps old variables onto new variable names. As a programmer myself, that's child's play, but we don't know the new variable names, and, we damn well shouldn't be the ones to have to do this.
My virpil stuff had weird bug, where once bound, any input would go full deflection, with several others on forum suggesting same, fortunately restarting the sim fixed it
@@Huddison yeh was one of the more active threads so hopefully they patch it, as well as the forgetting bindings after restart. Wasnt a fan of having to rebind for different planes, but that may have been me not understanding the weird ui.
Now that the game is launched... kinda... I can confirm that just about every controller works... HOWEVER... they are all mapped uniquely by default. IE - Throttle slider controls the rudder for some controllers, action buttons change per aircraft... it's not great. I have 6 different controllers /Joysticks (4 featured in this video) - Re-mapping each plane can take time and is extremely annoying, but it can be done. I've found the name brand controllers to be best mapped by default (Logitech 3d Pro - was the best - rudder, elevators, and throttle were properly mapped by default... getting the these to map right is a challenge). The first hour you play will be learning how to re-map the controllers and new keyboard shortcuts. Then every new plane, you will be mapping out the controllers again. 8:45 - Honeycomb initially was inverted for the X&Y axis of just about everything... hearing it was "Perfect" made me spit up my coffee. "When using the Honeycomb Stick, slowing down goes faster, Up is down, looking right is wrong." Kinda like playing drunk, but more frustrating.
I couldn't get V1 Yoke trim wheel work in alpha from ingame. Luckily SpaD worked with 2024 for simple bindings so I DID in the end manage to get it working. Also many had bugs with axises not working but that was resolved for me with 10000 restarts
@@Huddison Yep, it's alpha and everything will work in release better. Not complaining, although bit sloppy from you to forget mention it while stating that "everything works 100%". No worries though, such an oversight might happen to everyone. Keep up the good work!
One thing I notice is that the control tower at the left stays vertical as you go down the runway. Towers on my screen always lean to one side if I'm not headed directly towards them. Which might have something to do with my 27 inch 4K monitor resolution? If anyone can pinpoint the problem and offer a solution, I would be extremely grateful.
It should come with some kind of default bindings, but FS2024 will be essentially a new Sim - so you'll have to tweak the bindings to your liking. I do have footage of me setting up the V1 Yoke system from scratch in the FS2024 Alpha (autopilot bindings et all), so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.
Anyone can help me? T.Hotas 4 X: Trim button is in 2020 version x and y. In 2024, it says i clicked the same button and it is only x. So i can't use it for trim anymore :(
I think I need the stage before this - on how to assign the flight stick, throttle quadrant and rudder pedals to each aircraft. Your video misses all this configuration out.
Thank you for doing this! It does make me feel better. I do wish they would combine the V1 yoke and throttle quadrant on pc. I find that very confusing but it’s a small thing to complain about.
I agree, it would make it easier to navigate.

I created the mapping/profile myself; but this was a limited Alpha - there should be default mappings when FS2024 releases properly.

It's essentially a new Sim, so you're best taking notes of your current bindings.
Thank you for testing velocity one flight stick.

It's a matter of taste: but I don't feel the V1 Flightstick requires it personally.
Thanks Mate !
My pleasure.
Brunner MKII yoke & rudders work out of the box as well
Thanks, great addition 👍
Thank you so much for doing this.
No problem 😊

From testing that in the Alpha, it wasn't massively different to what we have in FS2020 - this may change by the time of the full release.
Great job thank you much.
My pleasure my friend.

Can't help wondering if all the switches and LED's on the Bravo TQ will work out of the box?
They should do (on PC at least).

I think that was a caveat of the Alpha; don't think this will happen when the sim releases fully.

The alpha would crash every time I would go into the sensitivity setting for the Tobii. I really hope they fix that.
My XPC yoke was ok entering hardware/sensitivities; I'm sure all will be fine on release.
I’m just wondering if the V 1 trim wheel will function properly without the jump?
It's an unknown as of yet.
Did you get the logitech panels to work?
Those will need a driver update from Logitech to work in FS2024.

Couldn't get my velocity one flight stick to work at all in the Alpha no matter what bindings i put in
That's strange. Did you have it in 'PC' input mode?
Yes tried everything and wouldn't work unless it was something i did saving it@Huddison
Good man you are
the moza ab9 did not work with the alpha. i was very disappointed
It didn't pick up at all?
Um, I would EXPECT them all to work! They all show up as HID devices to Windows! LOL...
100% they ALL should work
Kind of hoping my X52 hotas doesn't work so i have an excuse to splash out.
I believe it will work ;)

This video was about which testing which flight controllers worked - not how to configure them (that'll come once FS2024 behaves).
Lo lamento, estoy dando de baja mis suscripciones, el nivel de anuncios en youtube es intolerable.
well this serve realy no point as the Alpha is long gone now and all Hotas did work with the alpha but this is non relevent news now
Ya missed the boat my friend..
Perhaps read the top lines in the description as to why I made this video.
hello, yoistick logitech extreme 3d pro ?
If my old Logitech Attack 3 works; then it's likely all other joysticks/flightsitcks will.
