@@Aquariusmoon_lover since shaving is exfoliating, I try not to use any chemical exfoliants or retinoids for 1-2 days before shaving, and 1-2 days after. You def don't need to shave every 2 days - I shave every 1-2 weeks, but you should be able to judge what your skin needs or can handle. My hair doesn't grow back that quickly and I use tretinoin, so I don't like to do it that often. And I definitely don't exfoliate with anything else other than the razor when I do this. I follow it up with a soothing and moisturizing mask and a heavy moisturizer before sleeping. I change out my razor after 3-4 shaves, and sanitize it with alcohol before using. I would avoid shaving right before an event just because it can cause some irritation and sensitivity- so 1-2 days before has been fine for me.
I got all the products from Yesstyle this morning. I have dry skin as well and realised after buying the cheap razors and shaving dry how terrible my skin was afterwards. This is the THE best tutorial I've seen - THANK YOU!!!
Hi Tina, silent follower here.. I started shaving several months ago but because I watch mostly American skincare content creators, I have been doing a dry shave. I didn’t know about wetting the skin with cleanser. I always wash my face first with a gentle cleanser, then apply witch hazel all over. Wait for it to dry and then dry shave all over. I then do witch hazel again to get all the hairs off. Then just proceed with moisturizer/spf. I always do it in the morning because I have more energy and attention to detail than I do before bed. Bedtime skincare is just rushing so I can go to bed so I don’t wanna mess up. My skincare goes on much better with less pilling/flaking and it is pretty easy after you get the hang of it!
Kpopstan it is totally fine for your skin! Most derms use alcohol prep pads for skin prep for procedures so a little witch hazel once a month is no biggie. Hope this helps! It really cleans the area nicely and disinfects so you don’t spread acne. Try it!
My experience : I did it last night. I have oily to combo Acne-Prone Skin. I used a gentle cleanser first. Wiped my blade woth alcohol. Then used Hatomugi High Moisturing Gel. It feels like Ice Gel on your face when you apply in winter. Then shaved my face just like she showed. I followed up with a second cleanse using my first cleanser and Hadolabo Gokujyun Premium Lotion to calm down my skin. I did 3-4 layer on my face with the lotion. It completely dried out when I was about to sleep so I applied Nivea Cream on my face. My experience in following 7 days 🪒 Day1 This morning I was a bit skeptical whether I should wear SPF or not. I didn’t since we are supposed to wait 24 hours before applying anything strong. So far I don’t feel itchy at all. Surprisingly it also didn’t do anything bad to my acne. My face feels normal like before expect it’s much cleaner now. 🪒Day 3 My face gets itchy when it’s dry plus it’s winter. So I still apply Hadolabo Gokujyun premium Lotion. I have started using my serums but not aha/bha's. So far it’s little itch nothing too annoying or unpleasant 🪒Day. 3 My skin feels normal. The itch has went down. I actually ate some spicy food yesterday so that explains the itch since I am allergic to spicy food. I am doing my skincare as ususal. Not irritation or itch in plain sight 🥳 🪒Day 4
Week 2 I can see little hair on my face now. But in these whole 2 weeks I never had any allergic reaction or itchiness. Remember I shaved along the hairline of my cheeks while shaving. ( just like she showed). My hair is growing just fine. I will obviously do it again. I kept my face moisturized with Gokujyun premium the first week. After that I became a bit lazy
I used the muji razor before and it was wayy too sharp and because it folds i accidentally fold it as i was shaving and cut off some parts of my eyebrows. be careful while shaving your face guys do it slowly and gently!
I thought I was the only one who uses those Veet wax strips for my brows! That drawing and cutting a stencil technique is genius though! Going to try that out! ❤️

Ancient greeks do a similar technique with their bath practice. Open pores with hot water, apply olive oil, scrub with pumice, and scrape with a bronze scraper called strigil.
@@morganreigns1984 It has been debunked by multiple dermatologist and cosmetic chemist before. Pores cannot physically open and close they just appear to be bigger or smaller depending on temperature.

Still getting the knack of the Dermaflash but the Klairs blue cream is the perfect cherry on top! The Round Lab soothing pine ampoule was also a great post-shave soother (before the moisturizer, obv).
If you want to minimize environmental waste, try looking for a Kamisori style shavette and then just get Artist Club style single edge blades with the guarded feature (both Kai and Feather make guarded blades).
i have pcos and have always struggled with thick facial and neck hair. trying to shave with traditional razors always resulted in ingrown hairs, razor burn, and irritation no matter what kind of blade or shaving cream i used. the terrible condition of my skin after shaving somehow made me feel worse than having clear skin and stubble, so i gave up really trying to manage my facial hair years ago. i'd never seen this method of face shaving though, and i'm very intrigued. im going to give it a shot!
@tannadance-789 that's a myth, it does not grow back thicker once you start shaving. the only thing that changed the color and thickness of my facial hair was starting on spironolactone, and that made it lighter and thinner. but shaving never made it darker or thicker
Just shaved my face for the 1st time while watching this ❤ i didnt havr much hair and dont see any changes now esp since i have no make up on. But let's see in the future how it goes ❤
I've been thinking of trying derma-planning for a while, my face feels a bit scruffy and as a guy, my peach fuzz is much thicker and scratchy. I'm thinking of trying the mugwort essence and the calming cream since I do have sensitive, acne-prone skin.

If anyone here suffers from PCOS/PCOD, would you recommend dermaplaning? No matter which method I employ, the hair ALWAYS grows back so fast and noticeably thicker, and I surmise this is a common complaint of many who suffer from PCOS. Could you kindly recommend some gentle hair removal techniques for the same condition if possible? Thanks!
Hi! I think pulling the hair out completely may be best. You could use a numbing cream on your face beforehand and use face wax strips or tweezers to remove the hairs. Hair looks thicker if you shave it with a dermaplane razor because essentially you are cutting the hair in half at it's widest point. It will continue to grow out with the blunt end until it completes its cycle and falls out.
I may be a man but I have strong enough hormones that I am a mammoth. I hate body hair. I wax and tweeze constantly. I pay for waxing and I have a pro waxing kit at home too for emergency sessions in between appointments. Shaving brought me to be twice as hairy as I should be. Shaving causes multiple hairs to grow from one follicle. Much more noticeable after a few shaves. Electrolysis is the best proven method to fully thin the hair growth. Waxing aids but it is less successful in permanently removing hair.
I have PCOS and I used to get Electrolysis. My tech said Shaving I. Between was okay but NO TWEEZING/WAXING. I shave my neck area and chin but not my dark "peach fuzz"
Soo good content ☺️ i love you so much 💖,u push me for this, once I tried waxing on face ,it's so skin disturbing.dermaplaning seems good for hairy face 👀
I shave my underarms then do my face, same razor, just soap. Avoid the brows. I don't need a mirror either. Just gently, slowly shave your face, no big deal. It takes 20 seconds. Usual face cream moisturizer, no big deal. Easy.
@@Wra8h Just go slow have a gentle hand a light touch lots of soap. Have a mirror handy if you need it, I always take a bath too so my hands are free. I really know my face contours really well. I use a regular razor, not a scary straight derma plane blade like in this video. I use the same razor as I use on my underarms and shave all over my face and chin. It's really easy.

Ancient greeks do a similar technique with their bath practice. Open pores with hot water, apply olive oil, scrub with pumice, and scrape with a bronze scraper called strigil.
@Vk Manunubos. Thank you for sharing. Appreciated. I learned something new today .
And don't forgot to close those pores with cold water afterwards :)
@@morganreigns1984 pores cannot open and close
@@DeaDGirlSanya sure they can
@@morganreigns1984 It has been debunked by multiple dermatologist and cosmetic chemist before. Pores cannot physically open and close they just appear to be bigger or smaller depending on temperature.
Your skin looks amazing!!! thanks for the tips! 🤩😍
Just did my first ever Dermaflash peach fuzz exorcism and followed up with the Klairs blue midnight cooling cream to live my full Tina fantasy! Still getting the knack of the Dermaflash but the Klairs blue cream is the perfect cherry on top! The Round Lab soothing pine ampoule was also a great post-shave soother (before the moisturizer, obv).
Thanks for the tips Tina!! Will definitely try out these tips!
If you want to minimize environmental waste, try looking for a Kamisori style shavette and then just get Artist Club style single edge blades with the guarded feature (both Kai and Feather make guarded blades).
Your skin is literally perfect❤❤
idk about you guys, but i definitely need to use some sort of antibiotic topical cream on my face after shaving to prevent breaking out.
thank you for making this video I always see others do the shaving part only but not the proper after skincare really needed this
i have pcos and have always struggled with thick facial and neck hair. trying to shave with traditional razors always resulted in ingrown hairs, razor burn, and irritation no matter what kind of blade or shaving cream i used. the terrible condition of my skin after shaving somehow made me feel worse than having clear skin and stubble, so i gave up really trying to manage my facial hair years ago. i'd never seen this method of face shaving though, and i'm very intrigued. im going to give it a shot!
Hey I'm 13 so can I shave my face
I was watching your video.. and my son came (4.5 yrs) and said… who is she?? She is very CUTE ☺️
this was so informative and helpful!! finally something good, thank you
I've been thinking of trying derma-planning for a while, my face feels a bit scruffy and as a guy, my peach fuzz is much thicker and scratchy. I'm thinking of trying the mugwort essence and the calming cream since I do have sensitive, acne-prone skin.

👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹
This was just the video one must watch pre dermaplaning ❤😍
I’m a dude 😂 I use these derma blades as well for my cheeks and side burns! They’re so good! Much cleaner than a razor! you can use shaving cream instead if you want to avoid cuts.
Whoa this came up in my feed at the just the right time, i just shaved my face a day ago and could use some aftercare tips!
Is in my yesstyle cart ❤ thanks for the recommendation
Can hear your Aussie accent. Tried this today for first time. Hair so fine that very subtle. Used witch hazel combined with aloe vera as a lubricant as didn't like the friction dry.
How is it now???? Did u break out??
@@watchingtower8023 felt a bit sensitive for a few days but it didn't make that much difference as my hair is fine. I don't like how feels like extra fine sandpaper growing back (usually very soft).
@@BipolarCourage wow. i did it too last night. It’s morning now. I don't feel itchy at all.
Another question, do you use chemical/ physical sunscreen even though she said we are supposed to wait till 24 hours to apply anything strong in our skin??
Thanks for sharing!
@@watchingtower8023 I have sensitive skin anyway & it was irritating enough to feel like mild sunburn. I used aloe vera to help calm it.
Not sure if I will do it again. Might be more suited to fuzzier faces. I think mustache area might be better waxed as hair a bit more obvious.
I have super fine hair so it's not very obvious anyway.
Ohh this is great. All the other videos I watched said to do it on completely dry skin and I'm like you - my face gets so irritated and dry and itchy from it. I'm going to have to get myself a gel for the next time I do this!
But on the mustache area is the hair coming back thicker?
Loved watching your video! You keep it real. Thanks for sharing some skincare tips.
Thank you for this! 🎉❤ i love using the electric razor too! I just straight up use that! The other straight edge one i think is great for other people but for me i think this one works just as good if not better and gets a closer shave without getting any nicks or even risking it. New subbie btw 🎉❤ love you and your channel
first time shaving. thanks a lot. my skin is smooth. I also did not feel comfy with the dry method. but used a unsented lub
I’ve shaved my face here & there through the years but always just using a men’s disposable razor. I read not to use those so I bought little face razors. Tried it last night and omg idk what happened but if messed my face up bad
Which sunscreen would you recommend for sensitive+dry skin?
Hello :) I use the tatcha silken sunscreen with spf 35 and my skin loves it! I also have dry sensitive skin. You should try out their travel size if your curious. The brand is incredible.
I live in California, and I only know of people using some sort of cream or gel before shaving.. so odd kasandra does it dry.
I always get breakouts after shaving my face. I will consider your suggestions next time and i hope it will be better
Hi tina!!! ❤ Do you use some of the Japanese brands like decorte, Pola etc … upload videos for Japanese haircare products….
The nails are so nice. Also the skin
Exactly! 🇺🇸❤️
I’m having my upper lip and chin lazered atm (hair removal ) need to do this to keep hair away too was having threading done but this seems easier
This was was so helpful, thank you!! ❤
12:58 Can you recommend a moisturizer similar to this ? because I can't get this
If anyone here suffers from PCOS/PCOD, would you recommend dermaplaning?
I usually use oil cleanser when used to do it. I actually bought my blades from Daiso too.
Hiii Tina! hope you see my comment! do you have any recommendations for japanese exfoliators and clay masks? thank you❤
Soo good content ☺️ i love you so much 💖,u push me for this, once I tried waxing on face ,it's so skin disturbing.dermaplaning seems good for hairy face 👀
Do you throw away your facial razor or do you use the same one again next time
has anyone told you that you have a GORGEOUS nose...
Everything aside, you are so gorgeous!!! ❤😍
What a nicely explained video ❤️ .you have a beautiful voice 🥰
Hi there, lovely video! Could you share how you take care of your nose hair please?
I shave my underarms then do my face, same razor, just soap. Avoid the brows. I don't need a mirror either. Just gently, slowly shave your face, no big deal. It takes 20 seconds. Usual face cream moisturizer, no big deal. Easy.
Do you not cut your lip?
@@Wra8h Just go slow have a gentle hand a light touch lots of soap. Have a mirror handy if you need it, I always take a bath too so my hands are free. I really know my face contours really well. I use a regular razor, not a scary straight derma plane blade like in this video. I use the same razor as I use on my underarms and shave all over my face and chin. It's really easy.
Oi my hair grows way faster than avg people so what if after shaving my face hairs gonna grow like mens beard??
@@Strumm-f2p Your hair grows from under the skin not on top. We shave on top of the skin. So shaving or not, your hair will grow back as it usually does.
Dermatologist, Dr Sam Ellis, also has a video on face shaving like this. “ How To Shave Your Face”.
What are you wearing on your lips? It’s so pretty!
Face shaving prevents breakouts??? Like how??

In india that essence is of 3300 rupees and that blue calming cream is of 1800 rupees...imma just wash my face with water i guess 😭😭😭

I have yave stopped shaving because of that 😢, please suggest.
I saw some too in my left cheek contour area. I think since the hair is longer and bigger there that's why it looks weird
What’s the 45 angle? An angle u makke? Pls explain
