This is producing some awesome wave effects for the tank! Man I like this so much I think I might just go the diy route also. I think even years after this video was made the diy version you showed will still be cheaper than what tunze is asking for the smaller wave box model.
Very interesting idea. I have a 15+ year old Tunze wavebox that has failed. I may try to use it and get one of these pumps in and working. Do you have any way to get the pump out for service?
amazing video, but i don't understand how this works :o would you mind explaining? does the wavemaker empty the water in the box and then stop until it's full again?
u need to use the dial on controller to adjust wave 's length . Long Wave means wave maker will run longer and wil take out more water than needed. Just dial appropriately. the short time it stops will fill the box enough to be pushed back again. Wave must NOT be long enough to fully drain box cause then bubbles will start making out in display with noise. Hopefully it explains well.
@@austinjt4264 Use Wavemaker Controller Mode for Abrupt Wave. W1 s first mode im using for it. @nd If u use a bigger Wave maker then use Center Dial to adjust
Actually the pump should be pumping water from the tank into that chamber tower, that would then increase in water level in that chamber and when the pump stops pumping for a moment, the water will rush back out by gravity and thus create a surge of water that result in a wave. But in that case the tower would be sticking out of and above the aquarium water level. This method seems to work well enough for your tank so it’s great. Thanks for sharing! @2869may : the difference would be then that you create a bigger potential/surge by storing water in that chamber which will release in one big surge. Think of it like a flashlight of a camera, a capasitor that stores small bits of energie to release at one big fast go
I never knew there are reefers in Pakistan. Pretty cool man.

Go for it!
Amazing! SPS got cool moves with wavebox 😅
great job thanks for sharing!
I’ve always thought about it’s possible to make, I just never had the materials and the apparent skill that you have. Bravo. Incredible work.
thx, yes made it easy for reefers
Awesome water flow there 👌
Glad u liked it.
Loved the finesse of craftsman. Great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome man .
Great job!!👍👍
thx
naam hi kafi hey!! well done on the diy!
thx

yes. its back magnet is what should clong pump to back but yes it stucks a bit
amazing work, the only problem is the noise of the pump
yes, but u can cover the top leaving a hole to reduce noise.
interesting
next level 😉

JP seems to update their Program.
W1 is not longer a full stop but a slow down.
Will this work?
W1 works well at SW-15 , you can adjust length of Waves and break in between with Dial Only. i Run at 80% of Dial power at W1
@@MQReef It did try. It didn't work. As wave didn't stopped, it's just slow down... Which kind of preventing the water from coming in.

How does the box change the function the wave maker already has....?
its pumping action is used . but does slows down other waves being counter waves
