I've personally witnessed the elitist BM guy. He actually was keeping it trve kvlt and just stood there. And when someone complemented his corpse paint, he looked at them with disdain and said, “don't talk to me”. I'm more of the raw black metal guy, so I said fuck this guy and got in the pit.

I'm definitely an "overly excited trvu elitist" at most BM shows. This video is quite accurate for your typical fans at most BM shows in the US, especially the post-black metal guy. I remember starting to see a few of these post fans when I went to the Krallice and Wolves in the Throne Room tour years ago, just thinking "where the hell did these guys come from?" But whatever, they're more than welcome if they like the music. Lastly, they're less common now, but you forgot about the Hipster BM fans. They used to be everywhere at BM shows.

Yeah I’m the Raw Black Metal Dude for sure the one headbanging thrashin out, making the evil Metal faces, and having the most fun minus drinking for me being sober is raw energy plus memory of the nite of the show is a major plus!! Lol I had to deal with antifa at a Horna show it was fun shouting obscenities at them while enjoying good underground show!!

Never been to a black metal concert, though, just getting into the subgenre. Some suggestions would be nice. My metal journey started when I was 12, with symphonic metal (Nightwish was my first). Then I went through the classics like Black Sabbath, Metallica, etc. Then, in my teens, my favourite band was Bullet For My Valentine and I listened to a lot of nu metal as well, like Slipknot, Korn, Mudvayne, etc. Then I went goth metal, Paradise Lost etc, to progressive metal and doom metal, and now my favourite band is Katatonia. My music taste is all over the place. Currently I'm obsessed with Ashnikko, but rap, jazz and extreme metal like black metal also seem interesting.
For the ambient black, I recommend you Чёрные Озёра (Chernye Ozera) (atmospheric/ambient black metal from Russia) and Make a Change... Kill Yourself (depressive black metal/ambient from Denmark). For the post-black, I recommend you Fen (atmospheric black metal/post-rock from England) and White Ward (experimental/post-black metal from Ukraine)

Funny stuff, so I guess I am getting old, since I am just headbanging at the concerts (sometimes going through a mix of bad musician and raw black metal, but not even that anymore). Melodic and symphonic black metal are missing from the video, though. :)

Ive been standing with my arms crossed at every show I’ve been to since I was 14 and I’m 36 now. When I went to see Necrophagist, Cattle Decapitation opened and the lead singer called me and my friend out for just standing there with our arms crossed. I don’t know what the point of this comment is besides telling my story of how it bothered one person.

Well, 98% of Metalheads into Black Metal don't even know that the "inverted cross" isn't the sign of Anti-Christianity but yes the sign of St.Peter cause he wanted to be cruxified on an INVERTED CROSS and the reason for that was "I don't deserve to be cruxified like my Lord Jesus of Nazareth", so, for the Roman Soldiers his wish was a demand.
For me "Black Metal" are bands such as Venom, Warhammer, Bathory and Celtic Frost, but i also like Mayhem, Darkthrone, Satyricon, Gorgoroth, Dark Funeral, Aura Noir, Witchery, Carpathian Forest (Blackened Thrash Metal OR Black/Thrash Metal).
I also like some Burzum's songs but i don't give a shit if it's NSBM.

I only ask this cause having a talk with a portuguese, Metalhead or not, is a waiste of time, cause mostly those who are into Black Metal shoulded have some knowledge about both "The Old Testament" and "The Gospel" to write the lyrics of their songs if they have bands.
