Sea of Thieves is probably the most underrated game of 2018. Hoping it really picks up in 2019. Me and friends have started playing and already have so many epic stories from across the seas.
I just realized something. Rare was telling us the future updates through this song. “We’ll all be returning if we sail together.” Alliances from the Cursed Sails update. “Flames roar! Fires are burning” Forsaken Shores. “We set forth for no king’s orders.” We set out on voyages given to us by a drunk being manipulated by Captain Warsmith “Words of warning have been spoken.” Flameheart in the Seabound Soul update, “Ancient creatures have awoken.” The megalodon in the Hungering Deep then being changed in the Shrouded Spoils. “All of the waves shall know our story.” Look no further than the Legendary Storyteller.
This song makes me feel only goosebumps thinking which experiences Sea Of Thieves could bring to us. "We shall sail together" are the perfect words to describe the will of the people of sailing, fighting, drinking, discovering secrets...with friends, thanks for this game. Thank you Rare, this game could still be low of content, but the experience is something of extremely precious, special and truly beautiful.
She works at Rare, she's not even a professional. It was just suppose to be a stand in for when they professionally record it but they liked it so much they kept it.

I became a pirate legend back in 2023. And have played the game since 2021. Its been a long grind but even back in middleschool when i was 12, 13, and 14.. I knew this song. I cherished it. And i awaited the day i could man my own ship and be with my own crew playing this song. And now I have accomplished this quest with many friends joining in too help me and some leaving. Now i have the full set: a galleon, a sloop, a brig, and pirate legend. But i will never forget those who helped me and those who challenged me. Thank you all. May the sea's be fair too you and the gold come in droves.

I'm one of the ones who prefer to help others than fight so I hate the people who try to jump your ship with kegs. Especially since I'm usually doing merchant, those poor animals!

We had the same idea, and it gives me great joy to see that we aren’t the only ones. Rest in peace man. When they did the anniversary update I've loved the game and I reached pirate legend like 5 days ago so that was pretty cool. To be honest this is the most underrated game out there
It’s sort of the shanty you get when becoming a Legendary pirate. You get the ending part. I just wish that when you play the shanty the symbol of legend would show and the girl and the guys sang with you no matter where you play the shanty.
it is playable you have to earn 50 Reputation with every faction and then you have to purchase something at a vendor (dont remember what sry) and then you can Play it (tip Play it in the tavern)
I haven't listened to this song in ages, it makes me so nostalgic for the first months of Sea of Thieves. I still absolutely love the game, but back then it was still fresh and new, the game felt so limitless. Now I know the ins and outs of every Island and could easily find my way around without a map. Back then there was just a kind of magic to it.

I honestly can say, I love sea of thieves. And I love the people who’ve played with me. Including those that’ve turned traitor on alliances.
I became a Pirate Legend by way of Reapers yesterday, but in my haste, I had forgotten to actually buy the titles. My friends had all quit for the day after a nasty defeat by another crew. I had to sail off alone to Reapers alone to buy the rights to the level 50 Reaper title, and on my way back, I saw a fully crewed Galleon waiting in port. I was not prepared for a fight and had no supplies, and figured to myself that if they sank me, whatever, I have nothing to lose. So I approached slowly until one of them called out. "Ahoy there!" I called back, "Ahoy, I mean you no harm! I'm just sailing in to buy some things before I'm off for the night." After a moment, the captain of that Galleon asked, "Would you like to throw up an alliance flag and help us sell some things while you're here?" "That would be fantastic," I jovially responded. Each side then went up to put up a quick alliance flag. My usual companions were not present at the moment. I figured getting Pirate Legend would be a quiet affair. Instead, after I helped finished selling, I told them my true purpose for coming here, even going so far as to proudly say that I gained Pirate Legend with Reapers being one of my companies. They chose to celebrate with me. We all went to the tavern so they could see it. And for the first time, I played this song. We all played this song together. And then we drank. Oh lord we drank. I'm not sure what happened afterwards. That random crew of strangers brought my spirits back up after what was otherwise going to be a bittersweet moment.
Our friend group fell apart a few years ago, and today we got back together to play this game one last time, and we heard this before we left. I will never forget my old crew

when it comes to this game, its people like you i enjoy. somebody who likes the game. when it did not do so well at launch, it did something GOOD. it drove away the salty kids, leaving people who are much more respectful. even though some salty kids are returning, the game's community is still great!

The thing that is sad is that you don’t hear this amazing soundtrack in the game a lot, you hear the whisper at the end when you open the hatch on maiden voyage, and I think another time. Amazing song rare. just beautiful.
what i love most about sea of thieves is how its so much more than what it seems on the surface. theres way more depth to it than people give it credit for. it has extensive *good* lore, amazing stylized graphics, great sailing and combat mechanics, and a unique gameplay loop that keeps you coming back for more. theres not a single game out there that's like it. this theme captures sea of thieves so well and i love it so much.
On one hand, its sad that we hear it so rare, but i think this is what makes it so perfect, when you see the sign on floor and the soft voice... Oh man, it just makes every moment so special

I remember my first time seeing those words dude. I loaded in a sloop and got a gold hoarder mission. Went to paradise spring found a villainous bounty skull and dug up the castaway chest. Then we Went to go sell and i forgot to sell the skull. And logged off. Then i got really scared because i thought the bounty skulls were really rare. Good times man, that was my first adventure on the seas

Sea of thieves started as an AA indie cartoon style pirate game and is now the best pirate game to ever exist with more lore than most AAA companies can put out in several games
Bruh imagine the moment, full server reunited under the same flag playing all the instruments and singing all together, could be a really cool moment, i love the interactions in this game, just wish server were more stable and more people were in them
This game is the perfect way of showing that the experience and the fun matters. Theres is not really any progression in the game sure, but its still fun and nice to unlock customs for yourself and just have fun

It evokes joy, pride, longing at the same time, but also sadness, longing and a feeling of something leaving, as if you were alone, the last one who carries freedom, the last of a team of friends. This song is too different to be a different versions of drunken sailor. It may have a similar melody. But like many songs share the same bpm, for example, that doesn't make them Bades off each other.

Sea of Thieves. The game that looks like it doesnt have much content and would make you board fast, IS ACTUALLY EXTREAMLY ADDICTING. I have spent 2 weeks playing it none stop and its fun as hell still.
After reaching pirate legend I think I understood this song and it is a reflection of the bond you share with your crew and represents the journey you experienced.

I just see an epic animation where it shows pirate vessels fighting in an ocean, and switching to a modern cruiser fighting an enemy destroyer in the same area.
I just reached pirate legend, took about 3 months to do so with 4 of my friends during quarantine (3 of us actually got to legend around the same time, the 4th stopped playing) and I gotta say, this game is absolutely amazing. We have so many stories and battles and heists we have done as a crew, and every time you go on a new adventure starts, things will never go as expected on the sea of thieves. I would recommend this game to anyone! Some of the best adventures in a game.

when it comes to this game, its people like you i enjoy. somebody who likes the game. when it did not do so well at launch, it did something GOOD. it drove away the salty kids, leaving people who are much more respectful. even though some salty kids are returning, the game's community is still great!

The thing that is sad is that you don’t hear this amazing soundtrack in the game a lot, you hear the whisper at the end when you open the hatch on maiden voyage, and I think another time. Amazing song rare. just beautiful.
what i love most about sea of thieves is how its so much more than what it seems on the surface. theres way more depth to it than people give it credit for. it has extensive *good* lore, amazing stylized graphics, great sailing and combat mechanics, and a unique gameplay loop that keeps you coming back for more. theres not a single game out there that's like it. this theme captures sea of thieves so well and i love it so much.
On one hand, its sad that we hear it so rare, but i think this is what makes it so perfect, when you see the sign on floor and the soft voice... Oh man, it just makes every moment so special

The “We shall sail together” sound you get from selling an Athena is more satisfying then any loot possible.
All pirate legends, including myself and my usual crew, may beat the ever-lasting crap out of each other whilst on the seas, but deep down we are all connected by this song.

I remember my first time seeing those words dude. I loaded in a sloop and got a gold hoarder mission. Went to paradise spring found a villainous bounty skull and dug up the castaway chest. Then we Went to go sell and i forgot to sell the skull. And logged off. Then i got really scared because i thought the bounty skulls were really rare. Good times man, that was my first adventure on the seas

This game is the perfect way of showing that the experience and the fun matters. Theres is not really any progression in the game sure, but its still fun and nice to unlock customs for yourself and just have fun

This song is too different to be a different versions of drunken sailor. It may have a similar melody. But like many songs share the same bpm, for example, that doesn't make them Bades off each other.

I just see an epic animation where it shows pirate vessels fighting in an ocean, and switching to a modern cruiser fighting an enemy destroyer in the same area.
I just reached pirate legend, took about 3 months to do so with 4 of my friends during quarantine (3 of us actually got to legend around the same time, the 4th stopped playing) and I gotta say, this game is absolutely amazing. We have so many stories and battles and heists we have done as a crew, and every time you go on a new adventure starts, things will never go as expected on the sea of thieves. I would recommend this game to anyone! Some of the best adventures in a game.
