It is..I have the mdx aspec and it handles very similar to the tlx I think even better so I can’t imagine how it would handle with the TYPE S treatment
This car is meant to be driven in twisty roads with it's exceptional handling, but not too much fun driving in a staright road as the car is not that fast like it's competitors. Dissapointing that Acura took more than a decade to bring back the type S and gives us an underpower car.
The car is underpowered by design by acura that j series v6 is a monster when paird with a turbo and to be honest I have a year with the car and I don't mind the power output.
Honda has never been big on engines they've been more about lighter cars and tires. They've never even had a V8 but now the entire sedan segment is tanking. Consider lucky that they brought out even this. So long as you don't compare it to european sports cars of similar size that cost a lot more it's a great car. And you can get an 8 year, 120k extended warranty for under $1,500. And no Kia's warranty is not better than that it's drivetrain only.

I had to replace my Type S windshield already due to a rock smacking right into the drivers eye. It didn’t crack but even repaired the glare would have been awful. Love the car though.

I saw a video on UA-cam a race between Type S and Genesis and Kia stinger and a 4 cylinder accord. Its a shame. the TLX is the most expensive car in the video and it was the slowest with the accord.
@@uranusplanet1226 power isn’t everything and honestly, the tlx’s issue is weight, not power. Even then, surely a few mods after warranty runs out can get you to 400hp+ which would be a sweet spot here, and some weight reduction if possible. My 07 type s is fun AF after a few mods pushed it over 300hp and ~130lb weight reduction. These cars are so much fun to drive. The tlx type s also comes fully loaded with features that are optional in others. On bmw, amazing machines but good luck with maintenance costs and reliability. Tesla…impressive speed esp for how much they weigh, but not a fan. Suggest keeping a fire extinguisher within reach if you get one of those 😉
This is like the perfect car but at this price point and in this era they really couldn't give it a digital dash? I can't stand the tach on this car from like 2008

The Acura electronics set off the radar detector. Lane assist, curb and vehicle “too close, “ etc warnings.

Probably next generation, but the integra type s is probably gonna have a digital dash setup like the type r.
