its simple, dont put your hand on his hip and the official cant call the foul.
Exactly! And he didn't just put his hand on Trammell's hip, he pushed him, altering his mid air trajectory while shooting. It was an obvious, blatant foul that had to be called.
I remember Tim telling everyone to take Creighton and the points asap. And him saying that Creighton had too many weapons for the Aztecs. Funny how he bet opposite of what he said and the game went differently.
Ouch!!!
By 1 point
San diego State held Alabama & Creighton to a combined 5 of 44 (11.4%) from beyond the arc. The best 3pt percentage defense ever in a regional weekend for a team that advanced to the Final Four. Creighton 2-17 from the 3pt line. O made 3's in the second half & only 23 pts scored for Creighton in the 2nd half.
A ref should not swallow the whistle when a player was fouled. Now if you want to have a rule that says unless a player is bleeding no fouls are called in the last two minutes of the game, well NCAA could do that. either enforce the rule or get rid of it.
I made a comment just now similar to yours and totally agree with you. Why have rules if they aren’t going to be enforced? Ref made the right call.
I am sick of hearing you don’t call fouls at this point in game, just like the Super Bowl, a foul is a foul.
The foul affected the shot..! Foul was the right call..! Straight Up..!
Tim making a boneheaded comment. Not calling a foul when it’s in the rules because of the situation has got to be the dumbest thing. If it’s a legit foul, it’s a foul. If they don’t like fouls to decide a game they should make a rule on that and change it. It was a fair foul and that ref made the right call.
Was it a foul? Yes. Should they have called it? No.
The idiocy of that statement is hilarious. They don't want the refs to do their job because of how much time is left on the clock. If anything the refs should be more vigilant.
I mean if I'm asking for what they should do (as an entertainment product) they totally shouldn't call it
If I'm asking what they should do for a fully fairly played competitive game it's call it
....but sometimes you should go for the entertainment option, lol. That's why we're all here after all.
#2 got beat and he should have let # 12 go free and force him to make a pressure shot. Instead he decided to attack from behind and caused a foul.
That was such a clear foul. Have to call it. Play better defense than that! Fouling is NOT good defense
The foul: The player got beat and got behind and trailed and so he decided to try and make a play from behind the shooter and he fouled.
Its still a foul. You dont change the rules at the very end of the game
A foul is a foul and a win is a WIN!
And you don't have to be a sore winner about it, either.
Cap, that isn't a foul
@@davej.meister5421 ??
@@davej.meister5421 Sore winner? That doesn’t even make sense, I’m extremely happy they won! You sound bitter!
@@davej.meister5421 he’s not being one he’s just speaking facts stop crying
The game situation shouldn't make a difference. A foul is a foul.
Faxxxx makes no sense why people are crying
I’m not a fan of the argument “it was a foul, but it shouldn’t have been called.” Makes no sense.
Exactly, stupid commentary 🙄
Tacky fouls that weren’t called all game. They were letting them play on small stuff like that up until the last few minutes and the last second especially. Pretty inconsistent officiating
@@WeatherWondersWW There were bad calls on BOTH teams. Do you "blame the refs" fans EVER think about that?
@@WeatherWondersWW It may have been inconsistent officiating, but they got the last call...RIGHT.
SDSU Men’s b-ball has always been about defense.
Great win let’s go!!
It was the right call!
Stop making the game about the last play..San Diego State players deserve to be credited with great defense and great heart for another gutty win .
Former Aztecs coach Fischer brought in long bodies, instilled in them Excellent Defense. But can’t shoot. The tradition continues.
Except this year’s team added scorers that DEFEND too!
A foul is a foul no matter when it happens
SDSU lets go great win. 👍
I'm not in favor of calling ticky-tack fouls at the end of a game, but this was an actual shove in the side with the left arm, so yeah it was a foul that should have been called.
it wasn't just a hand on the hip, it was a jersey grab as well. Ask the Eagles how a small jersey grab can affect a team's season.
Free Throws aren't a Gimme...my Man still came through w the winning shot....so YES IT WAS A GREAT WAY TO WIN THE GAME! LFGSDSU!
Go Aztecs
Give sdsu credit. It was the right call. Creighton had plenty of opportunities to win this game. Sdsu held them 2/17 on 3 pointers. I really don't get this. "It was a foul, shouldn't have been called."?
Because they're butthurt that the team the picked lost.
SDSU got away with so many rough plays, mostly 2nd half, no calls. Sickening!
@@maryraymond8375 so did creighton stop crying lil boi
@@JMonneeyyfacts. Kaluma or whatever his name is travelled a lot and it wasn’t called
The Aztecs got by Creighton. Creighton was probably the main threat blocking the Aztecs from going all the way besides a possible UConn matchup.
Creighton is the only remaining team that has histroy with the Aztecs and has actually game planned and experienced the Aztecs before. FAU will be like Alabama, talented but probably has never before in program history played an opponent like the Aztecs and this will be a first experience. UConn is big, strong and talented.
I’m scared of UConn but we can do it
FAU played TENN and beat them comfortably, and TENN is just a better version of SDSU so idk
@@Grief_Shiesty Tennessee is Not better then the Aztecs.Aztecs are champions who have played together for years with mostly seniors leading the way and play hard EVERY game.Tennessee is a tough physical team that doesn't always show up ,lost their point guard leader, and lacks senior leadership in starting rolls.
How can that foul even be questioned?
The jersey was yanked while the shooter was already in motion and in the air.
Not only that, but the jersey on the side of the shooting arm.
Anyone would have to agree that's almost like yanking on the shooting arm.
The only debate is if that call would have been made earlier in the game, which was pretty physically played with a lot of swallowed whistles
But it's a foul either way
@@colmecolwagMissed fouls on both sides, but the last call was definitely a foul.
A foul is a foul.
Don’t blame the refs, the jays were fouling all game long, only their tiredness showed up
Go cry about it Creighton, you lost, deal with it
Classy SDSU fan gloating and rubbing it in 🤦♂🤦♂. You probably followed Steve Fisher when he coached the Fab 5.
@Dave J. Meister I'm gloating over the fact that something in this world was reffed justly. No gaslighting...what was seen is what was called.
Now...GO HOME AND CRY
CREIGHTON!
Who says you don't make that call? They all said it was a foul, but some say you don't call it? WOW~
Creighton lost a game earlier this year on a last second no call. Now lost a game on a last second ticky tacky call. I get the if it’s a foul call it narrative but then Creighton isn’t a 6 seed because they would’ve beaten Marquette and not been a 6 seed.
Why did Creighton stop scoring…? Aztecs D. Ask Alabama, Furman, College of Charleston or Utah St.
You can’t decide the game on affecting a game winning shot with a foul either. You have to call it. Non-foul call shouldn’t affect the outcome either
I don't get it, most people agree it's a foul but the call should have not been made. Simply because they wanted overtime. If let's say that was the case and Aztec lost. For sure that would have been the talk of the game, that it should have been called. You can't just please both sides these days in sports
It's not aztecs fault if opposite team wants to play his rithom, and was a foul his coach need to teach how to play under rules defense .
Nembhard got beat and then he fouled to make up for his bad defense. Why would you reward a defender who couldn't play good defense and then fouled to make up for their deficiency. You call the foul. Stop saying the ref should have swallow the whistle. How about next time the defender just play good defense and not foul.
Inbound towards Creighton goal was the right inbound pass. There was still a danger of Creighton’s 3 pointer near the buzzer.
B.s that is not the right call. You don't ever inbound the ball towards your own basket. Period.
@@OldTown1520 disastrous but only gave way for Alabama to tie with one last SDSU possession. Nothing pretty or textbook about it, but it ran the clock down in SDSU’s favor.
9 seeds or worse are 0-8 all time in the Final Four. Well we may all say that bodes well for San Diego State but we all know @ some point there's going to be the 1st #9 seed or worse to win a Final Four game. Just like there was for the 1st time a #15 seed beat a #2 seed. I just hope it's not next Saturday.
Perhaps Creighton should have not made it so close. Blatant foul. The ref HAD TO CALL IT.
Heavy hand pull on the hip. 100 percent foul. Why must I cry. Why must I cry. East side pyru 619
Bunch of haters other than norlander who knows his info and is sharp
Azteca won't win it all with that offense. Uconn is a different animal. Creighton got beat by great defense. Too bad because Creighton won't get this far again.
So, you don't decide the game as the ref, but the player can foul all day long? What a stupid take. If it's a foul, then he shouldn't have fouled.
Maybe don’t grab the shooter’s jersey next time 🤷🏻♀️…
San Diego state lost in the round of 64 last year by guess who? Creighton. Please make SDSU an underdog in the final four.
We're they an underdog here? I'd be surprised if they were an underdog next week
@@colmecolwag yes 2 point underdogs. They play much better when underdogs.
Another CBS analysis how to beat SDSU.
Make more 3's.
Making only 2 3's isn't going to cut it.
Sound familiar?
MIAMI!!!!
There are no rules in bball. The rules change throughout the game. Its unwatchable
Tim Doyle makes no sense
Yeah, by the book it was a foul, but no need to call it?
Creighton got robbed. Fire the refs!!!!
Creighton got beat cause they couldn't make a shot against the best team defense in the tourney
It was a great game until an official ruined it.
U mean when the ref called a foul??? A clear foul ??
Why did Creighton stop scoring? 🤔 Only 23 points…
No way that should have been called. And if it had been all game SDSU wouldn’t have even been in this game. They hacked away all game long and the refs let them.
😫 😭
Get outta here. Creighton lives by the 3 and dies by the 3. They got a way with a lot during the game and that coach whines all game. That point guard they have uses his arm all game with push offs. Big guy down low traveled twice with the ball in the post wasn’t called. We can go back and forth. That was a foul on the play. Trammel had him beat and he had an arm on him . That point guard uses his arm on offense and reaches on defense and it cost him. Creighton lost.
Exactly! Sickening!
SDSU plays aggressive defense but rarely grabs.Chest out, moves their feet, and switches 1-5.Creightin got beat cause they got smothered and aren't used to that type of pressure
I think it was rigged, what about you, Mike?
Unwritten rule when it is a tie game in regulation, and the foul was not a hard foul to the point of injury or completely hacked the hand of the shooter, you don’t call that with 1 second in the game.
Charles Barkley agreed and stated that and the ref who was hired by CBS never stated that when he was interviewed on CBS. He said that it was this refs judgement on the call. And I listened to him many times where he stated in games that in his judgement it was a foul. But he could not state that in this game if he would of called that.
And remember in this game so many fouls were not called and Jay Wright brought that up.
Let the two teams settle it in overtime and let’s not have this discussion. This ref in my eyes blew it. I played ball and watched the college game for over 55 years. Terrible call.
Fuck unwritten rules
Blaming the refs on your team losing is just plain showing what a sore loser you really are. It is what it is.
If your in the key ,in the AIR and the defender grabs your hip it's a foul.If they don't call it this is what they are talking about.Creighton didn't deserve to win, got smothered
Key word " Unwritten." Take a seat old timer. A foul is a foul, a win is a win.
@@dontnonowuno9953 Winning by a single point is somehow smothering an opponent?! That comment makes me 🤦♂🤦♂.
