San Diego State had one of the best defensive performances I’ve seen in March Madness in a while they absolutely shutdown one of the best offenses and teams in college basketball kudos to them they play hard physical and they hustle and that’s why they were able to make this upset happen 💯

The Aztecs' defense was incredible during the final minutes. They keep blocking shot after shot to keep Alabama at bay. The other key to victory was San Diego State's depth. They have a way of grinding down opponents when they play nine guys who all defend well. These are uncharted waters for this program, but i like the man at the helm: Dutch.
SDSU point guard Tramell reminds me of a former old school Mini Microwave in Vinny Johnson of the Pistons. Aztecs reflect those Pistons extremely , extremely well and very impressive of the style of players for those great defensive teams in past, if not now.
If there was going to be any Mountain West team that could’ve broke through to make an Elite Eight, it would’ve been San Diego State. They finally put it together to put a deep run.

Coach Dutcher pulled out all the tricks. loved all the subbing in the last minute of the game. really threw off bama's timing to inbound fast and scheme match ups. Coach did not panick at all. used the right tool for the right job with every sub. Shoutouts to Trammell for keeping us in the game the whole time. btw IT'S MENSAH DAY!
No matter who wins Creighton/Princeton, SDSU is the highest seed remaining in the South Regional.
Thanks CBS Sports HQ for at least mentioning SDSU in an early show before the Elite 8. Was disappointing that SDSU wasn't even considered worthy for being mentioned in your first show ranking the Sweet 16 members (along with Arkansas).
And thanks SDSU for your great performance against Bama. Made your program proud, and everyone who was a part of this year's team including players, coaches, support staff, university staff and even every MWC opponent this year who pushed the Aztecs played a part in this victory. Speaking of MWC opponents, here's hoping to see your program doing what the Aztecs are doing this year within a few years, too.

And then make all kinds of excuses for Alabama, like how they gave in to SDSU by continuing to launch threes that weren't working instead of attacking the paint, which also wasn't working, especially after cocky kid from Bama almost got his eye gouged out...All those kids were talking arrogantly about how ready they were for the Aztecs in the pregame show yesterday, guess they weren't Soo ready after all!

Dude with checkered red tie shows his real colors. SDSU is the better team. He doesnt get that. At 2:44 he says "San Diego State being able to HOLD ON", THEY DIDNT HOLD ON. They outplayed them. Holding on is when you get a large lead on a better team, and they keep working away and reducing that lead and just at the end of the game they are quite able to close the gap. I would take SDSU on straight up odds against this Alabama team.
SDSU also eliminated transition baskets, as Alabama had zero fast-break points.

Maybe the reason Bama shot so poorly from the field especially the three is damn near every shot was contested, it is a proven fact that if you get a hand up in the shooters face their shooting percentage goes down 10 to 20%.

OUTCOACHED. Alabama thought they were superior, but SDSU proved to them its a team game, individual talent dont make better teams all the time. Alabama didn't think they needed to alter their game.
