Hey! I just got the AKII and love it. I noticed in one of your guide videos there is an alternate needle (6mm) that can be used. I was wondering what the maximum loop pile height is for this needle, and how I could purchase it as it’s not listed on your site! Thanks!
My AK-1 broke both loop scissor that came with it after about 90 rugs that measure an average of 3 feet by 5 feet. I’m yet to find more replacement parts. I hope that helps! I just ordered a new one
This a wonderful work am a kenyan and l would like to know how l can get a tufting gun and how much it cost thanks in advance as l wait for your positive request
Hello I rily love doing rugs and for long I have been trying different types of making rugs I'm so happy to find these machines, how can I get them. I live in Tanzania please
I just tried my gun and everything is going well but the problem is with the wool it doesn’t keep going it’s gets cut for a while then disappears please help:(
You can do both piles with the first gun u spoke about i dont know where you had that info from but your wrong i have it and ive done both cut and loop .
Yes, you have to cut the loop every time you want to end your line, unless you want to continue it going down or going up. Unlike to cut, it will automatically cut out every time you stop.. when you use the loop gun you have to have a scissor in hand while doing the turfing.. cos there’s a lot of cutting going on.
Operating the heavier machines puts a lot of pressure on your arm, shoulder and wrist. Even with a counter balance of some kind there's still a lot of control that has to be used. I've been tufting for several years and can only tuft for about an hour with the heavy machines versus many hours with the small machines.
@@tufttheworld thanks for your quick answer. I am beginning to understand everything related to the tufting world, and still there is not much information, Im kind of struggling with info related to the guns, and I can tell these different guns are generic from China, no big warranty or quality to be considered here. About the heavier one it looks more professional also. I am trying to reach the more reliable one. The light ones maybe are better for start, but to be honest I don’t feel they are super reliabl, I am not sure how many hours that motor can handle work, and also mechanics. But maybe it is true that for a good start it could be the best choice. Let me know what you think. Thanks!
@@romikotchan We've been working with our manufacturer for over 3 years. They invented the blue ones 20 years ago. We offer a lifetime of support for all our machines. We try to solve any issues remotely but also offer reasonable repair rates if you send it in. We also sell all the replacement parts and have videos on how to change them if you want to do the repair yourself. We've sold we'll over 10k machines and never had a single motor die. They're certainly not perfect but they are reliable and easy to fix if they break.
Finally someone with a full description of tufting guns with all the bells and whistles. Thank you.
You are a godsend, thank you.
Tim!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to do this. This has been beyond helpful for a noob like me!🙏🏾
Thank you sooo much. I got the ZQ-11 and just noticed that it said 220v and I didn't know if I could use it on my regular outlets

Merhabalar şu uzun döngüleri mavi döngü aleti ile yapabiliyor muyuz? Yoksa o yeşil alet ile mi yapılıyor.
I am from Kenya how can I get it
Can I use shears for my loop pile rug to make a cut pile looking style once the rug is backed and glued? Or will it just all fall out
Why does the high pile require aircompressor? Thank you in advance!
Because the air blows the yarn into the cloth. The low pile machines have a needle that pushes the yarn in the cloth.
For the ak-11 does it require the air compressor or can it switch from electric to the air compressor.
Do these guns break down every so often even with good cleaning maintenance? If so are they difficult to fix?
My AK-1 broke both loop scissor that came with it after about 90 rugs that measure an average of 3 feet by 5 feet.
I’m yet to find more replacement parts.

I wish I could find an AK-3. Did they stop making them?
@@tufttheworld How does it compare to an AliExpress “green gun”? 😂
Which one sound wise is the most quiet?
Hi! Ak-2 loop pile highest height is 18mm? or 13mm?
what about the KRD gug?
does the ZQ2 come with the air valve when you bought it?
the zq2 doesn't need air so wouldn't have an air valve

Do you have to cut the loops 😏 most videos does not show you must cut the loops, or is the loops at the back
