    This is one of the first videos I found when researching tufting guns. I was confused then but I got the original AK1 because it's so well loved by many. Now I have my gun and watching again.
    I'll be doing my first project in a week or so and will be trying this process.
    I cannot thank you enough!
    All of your videos Awesome and YOU'RE AWESOME!
    BLESSINGS ❤

    I am so happy I found this video! Your knowledge with the AK tufting gun is incredibly helpful! I do have a question if you don’t mind: If I use more than two yarn strands, for example, four total, would it make the cut pile thicker? Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼🙂

    • @Tuftinglove
      @Tuftinglove  4 місяці тому +1

      Hey :) so the amount of yarnstrands to use really depends on the thickness of your yarn. It has to fit through your needle hole, still move freely but not slip out all the time. Otherwise your machine will unthred constantly. So what changes is mainly the optics. 1 thick thread compared to lets say 30 super thin ones, give you a very different look and feel. I would always recommend to fill the hole of the needle with as many threads of your chosen yarn as possible in order to make sure, your yarn does not slip out, the tuftingcloth is filled properly and also you have to tuft less lines. Because the lines, as you said, get thicker. but also there is a limit, because of the needle hole size. so it always makes sense to try out different amounts when starting to tuft with a new yarn.
      I hope this answers your question :)

      No, it's simply not doing the closing step. So nothing to be worried about :)

    Does it cut after each line or do you have to manually cut it when you want to move to another spot?

    • @Tuftinglove
      @Tuftinglove  Рік тому +1

      The Cut Pile tufting Machine cut after every single stitch, no no extra scissors needed. If you transform it to tuft loops tho, there is no cutting happening anymore and after each line you have to snip your yarn.

    Heeey! I recently bought a machine to start tutfting. But I have a question, the piece that is supposed to cut…doesnt cut hahaha ☠️ is it related to the thickness of the wool/yarn? Cause in the end there is a loop finish 🥲

  • @monkeyboyfinn
    @monkeyboyfinn 2 роки тому +1

    Also where is the best place on line to get yarn for a great price. Because in kther countries its so cheap but not to shop here in US. Everyone wants to sell half of what other countries price. For example t-shirt yarn. I now go to walmart and. BUy the fabric wjere it's 2 and 2 bucks for cut offs.

    Hello beautiful
    , I have a problem, which is that the scissors in the machine do not cut and form circles, rather than ordinary threads.

  • @rugs_mcfly
    @rugs_mcfly 2 роки тому +1

    I'm wondering what would happen if you were to take some thread and wrap it around the scissors to keep them from opening and closing even with the closing block still in place.

    • @Tuftinglove
      @Tuftinglove  2 роки тому +3

      The scissors are like pushing your yarn out now, if you wanna try it without them opening you could try with tiking off the scissors opener. I don't recommend fircing something into a situation, the machine is still going to move back and slide into the scissors opener. If you have it forced to stay closed this will possibly damage your machine.

      Hey,
      I'm very sorry, i don't know this machine... with the AK-I it would be a sensor problem, there is a tutorial on this topic on our channel as well. You can check if that works for your machine as well.
