Hey thanks for the quick response. I am a ford guy had a 74 back in mid 80’s until totaled out by drunk driver. I have gotten a few since then a 68u14, 68, 70, 71, 74,u15’s starting a restoration on u14 frame up. They all need a lot of work look forward to more videos Thanks again
I run a np208 t case. It's slow and light. It's been worked hard for 15 years and no fails. I even pulled a loaded KENWORTH t800 tri-axle dump truck with a 3 axle pup trailer loaded to a gross weight of 69700kg. If that didn't break it it must be good enough
So that's pretty simple. If you look at your driveshaft installed now, measure how much travel you have available. If you have 3 inches or more, you shouldn't have to shorten anything, but any less than that and you're risking bottoming out the driveshaft and breaking even more parts.
funny how time goes by.... i was your age when i started working on my eb.... and the last few years all i've said is i wish i would have video'd it for youtube. but back then youtube was just for crappy cat videos.... :}
Crappy cat videos haha Well hey, it's never too late man! Everybody is always looking for the next thing to watch. And if it's something you really want to do, then go for it! I'll be your first subscriber! haha

What is the determining factor as to whether or not you have to shorten the driveshaft?

Very Funny and informative. I liked the disappointed Mrs.'s, looks like she's a nag! Keep up the good work.
hahaha the funny thing is I had my sister play the Mrs.😂she did it pretty well lol
